I didn't mean to - an LGBTQ spoken word poem

Hoo boy this one is a doozy. A lot of anxiety went into the write, the filming, the editing, and finally the posting. But I wanted to share my story, and frankly I'm proud of how it's turned out. I love you all, and I hope this poem can help bring understanding and healing. I hope you have a wonderful gay. ;)

This took me to flashbacks of my friend that I was madly in love with, how new it was for me and how impossible it seemed. All the times I tried to deny it, saying that it's only friendship and forever nothing more... It broke me. I felt more. She knew it too. How couldn't she? Saying I'm so great and caring, humble and kind. In her words I sounded like diamond and I couldn't help but to be overwhelmed with joy. Every time she told me she doesn't feel loved I waned to take her hand, look her in the eye and tell her how much I loved her. I loved her in a way she couldn't and it tored me apart. But... It was okay? She saw me as a friend and it was okay. I was hurt, but it was like a bruise from a long run - sign that I'm doing something with worth. Her being loved is all I waned and I gave it to her. I was in pain, but satisfied.
(Sorry, I never told anyone and this poem just made me feel like that again.)
