slam poetry just hits different

I just found out you have a CZcams channel and I love slam poems so I subscribed but this was amazing. So filled with emotions. I wish to one day be able to write like that and read like that

This took me to flashbacks of my friend that I was madly in love with, how new it was for me and how impossible it seemed. All the times I tried to deny it, saying that it's only friendship and forever nothing more... It broke me. I felt more. She knew it too. How couldn't she? Saying I'm so great and caring, humble and kind. In her words I sounded like diamond and I couldn't help but to be overwhelmed with joy. Every time she told me she doesn't feel loved I waned to take her hand, look her in the eye and tell her how much I loved her. I loved her in a way she couldn't and it tored me apart. But... It was okay? She saw me as a friend and it was okay. I was hurt, but it was like a bruise from a long run - sign that I'm doing something with worth. Her being loved is all I waned and I gave it to her. I was in pain, but satisfied. (Sorry, I never told anyone and this poem just made me feel like that again.)

Somehow women are taught to compromise for the pleasure of men and bend over their spine for them and that you aren't worth it I myself have been taught that because my mom was taught the same and this poem really does show that I need to stop making myself feel the way I do to stop bring myself down when I don't please others because that's all I have been taught that I am not worth so thank you thank you very much!!
