  • I filmed this video at London Heathrow on 16th April 1993, from Terminal 3 car park.
My favourite aircraft are the Kuwait B707 and Thai B747.

I was lucky enough to see Concorde taking off out of Heathrow from the window of the BA 747-400 I had just come in from Philadelphia on in the summer of 1992. This vid brought back some good memories.

Seems strange to see a BA A320 in Landor livery, 2:29. That must be one of the G-BUSx series that had been ordered by British Caledonian

I does seem strange seeing a BA A320 lin Landor colours. It would have been a G-BUSx series. I would to see one of the current fleet painted in this scheme again.

@Jim Gemmell, thank you for your comment. I remember that Concorde departure sounded louder than most for some reason. I really miss not seeing Concorde at Heathrow.

And one of the many liveries Aeroflot were trying out 5:55. That's quite a rare sighting

There’s an old American Airlines Boeing 767 livery colors arriving from Chicago-O’Hare.

4:37 - Is that United aircraft a 767? Because it looks a little bit more like a 737, but I thought 737s are too small to cross the Atlantic from the US to London. I thought that 767s were the smallest aircrafts to do Europe to US flights, since they're the smallest of the wide-bodies. I didn't think narrow-bodies did them, partially because they don't carry enough fuel and partially because they don't have both first and business classes on board, which I thought that all flights longer than 4 to 5 hours had.
Boston to London are the shortest of any US flights to London and that's a 6 and 1/2 hour flight (NY to London is second shortest at 7 hours). Anyway, that United had to be a 767, even though I'm not sure it looked to be as big as one
8:31 - Whaaat? How can there be a United 727 in London? They don't carry enough fuel to cross the Atlantic from the US to London

Thanx for this upload. How ever, I´m looking for the two (or one of them) Boeing 737-200´s based at LHR flying for Virgin Express the summer of 1997. The planes were white, only marking was VIRGIN on the tail and VIRGIN EXPRESS on the fuselage. I´ve watched so many LHR-films from the 90´s now, but haven´t seen any white Boeing 7´37-200 from Virgin Express. Yet. :) Their regs were **CH and **CG. ("Charlie Horrible" and "Charlie Good").

@Thor Garbin Kjenner, thank you for your comment.
Unfortunately I can't help with the regs of these 737's. I have looked through my video's from that time, and can't see anything. From memory, the virgin express 737's were on the belgium register, so might have begun OO-XXX.

@@geaircraftvideos938 Thank you so much for your effort. No, our 200´s had English reg. :) Wet lease, aircraft used to fly for Easy Jet and Britannia before.

I now have a positive answer for you. The aircraft were G-BECG & G-BECH. Both operated by Britannia for quite a few years.

@@geaircraftvideos938 We called CH "Charlie Horrible", often snag on it. CG we dubbed "Charlie Good", that ship almost never had snags. :)
