I remember flying this plane.
My first flight on a 747 was with SAS (1985, JFK-CPH)l all together, I flew their 747s six times --- and one of those trips was on the "Huge Viking" (I'm sorry but I can't remember the names of the others). All of them were wonderful flights: attentive service; excellent meals (economy class, and the second meal service seemed almost as large as the first); and, for the time, great in-flight entertainment It's a sign of the economic times, I guess, but it's sad to see how corners are being cut (and not only on SAS) with regard to passenger service.
During a great time to Fly. They were the best.
@@TONSBERG100 It certainly was a great time to fly --- and SAS was was super. It is with fond memories that I look back on those days, as I sit in an economy class seat with my knees forced under my chin, picking at various pieces of what tastes like colored carboard on my dinner tray.
It was Knut Viking which had the terrorist bombing as Philippine Airlines Flight 434 and the unusial SAS seating configuration saved the aircraft as the bomb just missed the main fuel tank.
I wished Scandinavian airlines could buy 747s again
"Huge Viking" and "Large Viking" 😅
There's no history? You just showed pictures of the plane
Aren't the aircraft with just the three windows on the upper deck 100s?
The initial -200 models had that window configuration too

Are you able to make aeromexico dc-9 fleet history ok
I can't do that, there are not many photos. I can do the Condor 767 you requested, after I upload the Eastern Airlines A300 history
@@azurefire7266 ok
These days, we are more and more forced into narrow body crap aircraft, even for long haul flights.
