- In this vlog we take our narrowboat back to Crick Marina on the grand union canal to spend a couple of weeks on shoreline while we carry out some upgrades.
So its back up through the Blisworth tunnel, Buckby Locks, Watford locks and Crick tunnel.

I must say the Boat Inn is one of my favourite pubs. I went there for Easter many a time. We moored at the Britannia on the river Nene Northampton and Easter was a trip up the arm and down to the Boat. Those days Pedigree was my favourite tipple there.

Today Friday 15th Mar. Very very windy here in Cleethorpes. Hope you’re coping with the windy conditions aboard. Thinking about it you should have those solar panels etc fitted now hopefully, maybe not. Either way we’re looking forward to watching the next episode. I’ll be getting withdrawal symptoms soon. 😂

We couldn't get a table at the Boat Inn. I was looking forward to going there but we got in at The Navigation which was ok. Oh I love going through the tunnels. Might have to try the caravan site at Stoke Bruene.
The last time we went to the Navigation they were experiencing staffing problems which unfortunately resulted in a clod and over cooked meal, they did make amends by offering us a free meal the next time we visited, which turned out fine👍

Of course if we did not go to the Boat Inn at Stoke Bruerne, we went to the New Inn at Long Buckby for Easter. Or both if we took an extra couple of days off work.

Funny, today I looked it up on Google which thought it was in Polish. I knew it wasn't since the translation made no sense. My language choice was Latvian (no idea why) and there it was a perfectly reasonable narrowboat live-aboard name. 👍
