It's a family entertainer for sure, with a decent premise. But it worked only in parts for me. Because of the reveal coming too soon, the second half feels a bit dragged and predictable like you said. Nikhila's character, a pivotal one in this setup, is forgotten in the third act. If that was a character that is a reason for the chaos why not give her more substance...? Loved the ode to "Nandanam" in the end, but it felt too much chaos and loud.
Looks like Baddy had a plane to catch. Lightning quick review.

I was expecting a lot from the Jaya hai team but I am disappointed. Firstly, the female characters weren’t well etched out. A superb talent like Anaswara was wasted. Nikhila had a monotone expression throughout the film. And there were so many inconsequential characters. And the comedy in this was skit level and loud. I just don’t understand why filmmakers think that prithviraj is capable of doing comedy. He is so rigid and looks forced when he has to do comedy. These type of roles were cakewalk for actors like Dileep. He thrived on roles like this. But Prithvi wasn’t able to pull it off. Overall, a disappointment.

Its possible to pay the reviewers but not every audien who is watching it. Thats simply impractical and hence it make sense to get the overall response and seems many are liking it. I had watched it, and liked it, it was worth laughing and being in a jolly mood throughout and believe me I am not paid :D
I had fun time throughout, maybe the film caters to my likeness.
First of all these movie is more realtable to mallus , the jokes are mostly regional it hard to connect all people.

This was one movie I was looking forward to watch first day. I like all the leads Prithvi, Basil, Nikhila Anaswara. I even like Jagdish, Baiju Rekha the young boys, the servant chechi.. went in with a lot of hope.. badly wanted this to be a laugh riot but a lot of jokes dint land for me. Enjoyed part of it. But after interval I dint even smile. The guruvayoor part seemed very weird for me. Maybe I'm growing old.. but I'm done with this kinda forced comedy with the thaali. Prithviraj was reduced to one 3rd rated goon. His character doesn't even have any depth or detail other than anger management and impulsive decisions. Don't even know why Nikhila Vimal accepted this role. she had nothing to do. Atleast her character could talk to Prithvis character once in a while??!! Expected better from director of jaya hey and writer of perillor.
But the movie is getting excellent reports.
Well I don't know why you felt like this But Me and my family had a great time😂 Especially the way the vintage songs are placed and the climax crossover was hilarious as hell. But each for his own so I guess this movie didn't work for you😅

Thankyou for saying this. Movie dint work for me as well. I enjoyed some parts of the 1st half though. Was wondering why everyone else is saying good movie. In my theatre post interval there was silence. The bgm was good. The vettam style climax dint work for me

Below Average story.. very predictable... First half was ok... Second half felt very dragged. Overall i would give 6/10. Songs were also very cringe.. especially the pre wedding dance. The role of the stalker or psychiatrist felt forced on the story. Prithiviraj doing comedy didn't feel that natural and sometimes forced as well. Basil was good. Nikhila and Anaswara were not used properly... (My opinion)

A lot of unwanted charectors and their unfunny antics.
Thats the way the movie is setup. With lot of characters just like in a cartoon, and its not an accident. It is supposed to work that way, and if it did not work for you, yes it did not. But its not accidental
I think this film connects to malayalam audience more cuz there many old malayalam movie references which can be understandood by Malayalis only.
