  • Chicago's Lakefront Bike Path is amazing! Crowded for sure, but if you can handle riding with all the runners and bikes, you'll like this path for sure!

So glad you are finally riding the trail I've been riding just about everyday this summer. I live in Wrigleyville. One hour & 20 seconds into this video you are riding by me sitting on a bench at Oak Street Beach. For FREE PARKING next time, drive to Montrose Beach as they have tons at no cost. You can park there all day. Then you would just ride south on the trail from there.

Nice Ride Russ! I think the reason there are a lot of runners is because it's getting close to the Chicago Marathon and a lot are getting in their run training. I think you'd see a lot less of them after the marathon 😄Weekends are always a lot busy by the lake.

Really enjoyed your video and , for me, two congratulations are in order. Firstly, thanks to you for opening up about your health issues and also for involving Mrs Right in your video. She appears to use pedal power more than you and just motors along nicely. Secondly, congratulations to Chicago for establishing an infrastructure to accommodate both bike riders and runners. I think pathways are the way to go so we e-bikers don't have to share the roads with motorists. Thanks once again for a top video.

Riding a bicycle is a great way to exercise. Ebikes are bringing many older adults back to cycling.
Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles. Safe protected bike lanes and trails are needed so adults and children can ride safely. Speak up for bicycles in your community. Bicycles make life and cities better. Ask your local transportation planner and elected officials to support more protected bike lanes and trails. Children should be riding a bicycle to school and not be driven in a minivan. Be healthier and happier. Ride a bicycle regularly.
