Not to be disrespectful, and this is just my opinion, but, tbh, Justin Verlander, the Astros, and the manager allowed the Yankees win, they rather win at their home stadium than at yankees stadium. Verlander gave them the runs for the first inning and went easy on them. Astros is going to win game 6. Disappointed Yankees arent going to the world series.

Paxton was just nasty I mean that fastball location was just crazy. He was always doting the black of the plate with them. It goes to show how good the Astro hitters are though as Paxton still had to work despite having his best stuff.

And still they couldn't do jack shit against him. Really hope this COVID19 shit ends soon because really want to see just how damn nasty of a rotation of Cole, Severino, Paxton and Tanaka can be. Hate this shit I mean COVID19 already fucked up my NBA season seeing how I'm a Raptors fan and they had the 3rd best record in the NBA but with each passing day seems like more likely they will cancel the season all together.

I mean the NBA is talking about if things are cleared up enough having the playoffs in empty arenas but IDK if I even want to watch that shit as playoff basketball without any fans isn't playoff basketball to me. Home court advantage would me jack shit at that point. Also hope it doesn't fuck up the NFL season as my Dolphins seem like they have a shot at the playoffs with all the upgrades they made in FA.

Too bad about Sanchez. The guy comes and goes in spurts. When he is on fire, he is exciting as hell. But the fire has been extinguished.
98% of the time he swings at balls in the dirt with 2 strikes. No reason to not throw the ball in the dirt when you get him there. He also watches a perfect strike EVERY at bat.
Wasn't all bad though got to give him credit for the game he called behind the plate as it was almost perfect. Decided to go against the norm of what Paxton has been doing the last few months which is mix in the knuckle curve more. Yet this game it was just a ton of fastballs.
@@wisewolftony I think Sanchez decided to do reverse sequencing. Early in the count throw the breaking ball than catch the hitter looking with a mid 90s fastball as a strikeout pitch. I love pitchers that can pitch backwards (well all pitchers except Yankee pitchers).

I actually teared up because Paxton has been my favorite pitcher for the last few seasons. So seeing him come through in the biggest game of his career was great to see. When Boone came out I was like all of the fans in the stadium and was pleading with Boone to keep him in. Little scary right after that with the warning track catch. But I kind of put that on Boone as he took Paxton out of his flow. Honestly I might have kept Paxton in for the 7th as well despite the high pitch count as he was still hitting 97 on the gun and had barely pitched this post season. Kahnle almost blew it and then when they brought in Britton I was like god no. Don't bring in the man that at times has control issues with 2 men on. Yet he got the job done.

@@felixrojas2575 It was just I didn't feel great about Kanhle coming in first. Just due to the fact that he has pretty much pitched at least an inning in every single game. And rather would have wanted to just save him completely for the bullpen game tonight. I was also a little bit worried about Britton just because he can be wild at times. Can't even count how many times this year he has walked multiple batters in an inning. So its amazing he has a ERA below 2.00 because he's had to deal with some many jams this season. So was a bit worried with 2 men already on that he might walk the bases loaded. But he got out of it and then pitched a clean 8th. Just I think the key tonight is for the Yankees offense to have a game. As if they can get a comfy enough lead then they can just bring in guys like Happ and other non key bullpen pitchers. But if its close they are all gonna need to pitch and then you expect tomm that Severino is only gonna be able to go 4 or 5 innings max. Positive is if needed they can probably have Tanaka or Paxton go an inning or two in game 7 if they can force a game 7.

The Astros gave this game to the Yanks on purpose so they could win the series in Houston. Verlander game them super easy pitches to hit in the first inning (even the ones to Stanton and Sanchez were easy but they somehow missed) and then how did verlander all of sudden become untouchable for the rest of the game after a brutal first inning? I was at this game and it was great but watching it back it’s pretty obvious the Astros lost on purpose
