BARN FINDS! THREE Daytonas and MORE!

  • This was actually the first stop on our tour, but I posted them in reverse. These Daytonas, Charger, Dart, Lil Red Express and Polara were the first cars we were shown by the owner and friends. It was a definitely iceberg moment! I had some idea of what was coming, but it blew me away when all was revealed! It doesn't get more legit for a Barn Find, there is tractor tires and rims leaning up against the Lil Red Express. The Muscle Cars like this are so crazy to find!

    I, on the other hand, suspect that the barn, looking ALLOT fresher, than the GTS does,,, is the NEW home of the Dart GTS and is NOT frequented by rodents.
    Dust, and leaves, would indicate the cars were somewhere else when they got the leaves....
    The 'Polara' Convert, must be Canadian or something, because those taillights are Monaco pieces here in the States.... I have 5 of these in the different trim levels, and the Monaco and Monaco 500 had the 'Delta Wedge' taillights, while the Polara, and Polara 500, had the 'Venetian blind' style taillights very similar to the 67 Coronet R/T taillights that had the fine row of chrome bars vertically oriented across the whole tail of the car.
    And for the stuff sold north of the border, you would see a hodge podge of mix and match of interiors and exterior trim from the American versions......

      Just saying that the registry is minus alot of cars out there i personal have several rare car in my collection right now and have many friends that have rare stuff that we don't want the world to know about, when its time they will be back out in spotlight, rare and valuable do not always go together either the 69 GTS 383 4 speed convertible is alot more rare by number's but certainly not worth what the Daytona is ! FM3 340 Challenger convertible is another rare car that is still hidden to public and the list goes on

    @kennydemartini2169 Před 2 lety +1

    I'll have never understood the fascination with the 'wing' cars. I know all about the aero wars (blah blah blah), but the wing cars are ridiculously hideous, and I would be embarrassed to drive one. I've owned several B bodies, and currently have a beautiful B5 blue 69 Roadrunner, which looks better than any wing car. If I had to pick one car out of that barn, it would be the Dart, along with the dead rats.
