am sorry, the problem i have is that its not exporting the facecam. i mean it shows the frame with the video from my webcam but when i finish the recor i dont see that video its not on the gameplay or on other file.

Thanks for the great review. I consider to change from my old Avermedia to this Elgato for my Macbook Pro. Because the Avermedia software is just horrible on Mac. In contrary this seems very stable. Have you tried this setup also with OBS?

great video! saving up my money exactly for the Elgato HD60 S. i'm glad i checked this video out, by far the best set up & installation video i've seen, congrats on the 100K man you definitely deserve that milestone. Looking forward to getting myself set up as well but my first milestone is at least 100 subs lol seems like it'll take forever but for me it's more about the fun involved in the making of the content

+Turki811 That was my only worry as well spec wise. They’ve got compatibility listings for specific MacBook models on their website. Hope that helps. You do have the power with that i7 though.

I’d stick with the HD60 for your setup. It’ll be less of a load on your new Mac and you’ll still get 1080p60 recording. Using the HD60 S with your Mac will be a struggle using only the Intel Iris Pro GPU. Stick with the HD60 for now my friend amzn.to/2NQioZm

The PC has to do the encoding and handle all the data. So, no. Video recording, editing and streaming always require a powerful machine except you want to deliver really poor quality like the typical 13 year old on CZcams.

+Pablo Salinas From your camera, I don't have that option either. Maybe I didn't fully understand your question though. The software has a built-in screenshot function though.

The game capture devices have always worked on Mac. I’ve used the original Game Capture HD, HD60 and now HD60 S on my Macs over the years. Works with both Windows and Mac my friend.

There is nothing like a „base model“. The base configuration from a 2018 MBP is much more powerful than one from 2015. So what kind of answer did you expect?

I have 2 laptops. One is the Alienware 17 R4(the undisputed beast). The other is a 2nd generation I5 processor laptop for basic computing. Is the Elagato HD 60 s usable to record video feed from the Alienware on my 2nd laptopn(the basic one) without any lag or buffering issues? Please suggest.
+Veteran video gamer Double-check your specs of the 2nd PC against what Elgato's website shows for the HD60 S. If you don't meet those requirements, then just use the HD60 and you'll be good to go.

hey nice video! I just got mine but its soooo laggy, and when its able to record my voice, it starts to stutter and cancel out my voice with random noises. I dont think my laptop is good enough but i dont know if there is anything else I could do. I even lowered all resolution! Any help would be very appreciated
+MrBinky7 the HD60 S is demanding on your laptop/PC/Mac so I would double-check your specs against those listed as required by Elgato Gaming on their website. You may want to use the HD60 instead and you'll still be able to record in 1080p60.
Just got off the phone with the Elgato guy. Very helpful. He did in fact help discover that my laptop was not strong enough for a webcam. It records fine now, but my mic still is not working smoothly. Thanks anyway!

You can also stream 1080p60 with a proper Mac and the HD60 S. It depends on your hardware if you have enough horse power to handle it.

I just got my HD60s in the mail today and I set up everything, I double checked to make sure all the cables are connected but on my MacBook, it says that I have no signal. I have a 2017 MacBook Pro and it is updated with the latest MacOS, plus I have two thunderbolt ports so I had to buy a USB adapter so I can plug in my capture card and microphone. Is the adapter the reason why I'm getting no signal? Please reply to me as soon as you can, thanks!
That shouldn’t be the issue. My suggestion would be double checking the cable connections and ensure you have HDCP turned off on your PS4.
Fast, Electronic and Loud I found someone on CZcams that had the same dongle as me and she said it didn’t work but when she tried a usb type c to usb 3.0, it worked so it could be the dongle I have.
Yeah if you’ve got a USB-C to USB-C cable you could just use that. That was going to be my next suggestion. I use an older MacBook Pro which has USB3.0 so I’ve been ok. Hopefully you can get it working my friend
for me that doesnt work, i got all the stuff in my (macbookpro 2015 model) that are required but it tells me that i need 4 cores, saying that i dont have 4, but why should older macbook pros have more cores than newer ones? would be happy for help because i cant use my elgato :/
+iFuriz Elgato's website lists the minimum specs for each of the devices. The HD60S is very demanding for both the CPU and GPU. If your specs don't agree with what's listed, you'll have trouble with the HD60 S. I have the HD60 also and it's less demanding on my Mac.
