But there’s good news: Though we broke God’s Law, Jesus, the prophesied Messiah, perfectly kept the Law, fulfilling all righteousness. He paid the fine for sinners ( that we could never pay ) by suffering and dying on the cross-absorbing the wrath of God that we deserve. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses. You were incredibly down to earth. And you had an actual conversation with me. You asked me about my military service(haircut gave me away), we talked about that, how I was into powerlifting in the military. It was a decent conversation that only lasted 5 minutes. But you took the time to do it. You have accomplished something that will take a long time for someone to beat. I'm glad you survived it. I hope the next person that accomplishes it(if they ever do) has you sitting in the front row, or closer, supporting them. I think thats the kind of person you are. Best of luck, mate. Be safe.

Eddie is powerful and his swings do good damage but I don't hear no air getting cut through... While I do think the noise in part is the axe cutting through the air. Anouther possibility is the pros hand sliding along the handle of the axe as it goes down. I’m not a professional wood cutter but I was taught when using an axe that you should put one hand below the blade and one on the bottom of the axe letting the hand beneath the blade slide to the bottom during the swing letting gravity do the work. It’s something I noticed Eddie was not doing. He had both hands at the bottom lifting the full weight of the axe bringing it up, and having less control of the axe on the swing itself.
It’s probably the reason he got so winded so quickly too but does show his strength being able to lift that axe so many times that way… honestly really shows how important technique is when handling these tools.

It's fascinating how the leverage on the swing arm is used to rotate the axe around it's center of mass at the 17:07 mark and also get it into a better position for raisin with the arms. He goes right out of levering it from the wood into that movement. I also noticed that both the professionals have very very fine tuned breathing techniques. You can hear them breath in in sync with the swings. I bet that even is adding to their core to make it easier to lever.
Wonderful showcase of how technique can make all the difference.

Kudos for Eddie having a go at woodchopping. That sport has everything to do with experience, technique and stamina.
It began in Ulverstone, Tasmania, Australia in 1870 when two axmen had a £25 wager as to who could fell a tree the fastest.
The world's first woodchopping championship was held in 1891, at Bell's Parade, Latrobe, Tasmania.
The fastest timber sports underhand chop by a male is 12.01 seconds, achieved by Brayden Meyer (Australia) on 17 September 2022 at the Australian Pro Championship 2022 on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

Would love to see this guy have a go in an Australian tree-felling event, where chopping a vertical log while standing on a narrow plank/board set into a notch cut in the trunk about three meters from the ground. It's the most spectacular event of all.
"The object of the event in the modern day arena is to climb the tree pole by cutting “board holes” and placing special tree boards in the notches to ascend up the tree in a spiral fashion. Whilst balancing on the top board (3 boards high) the axeman cuts the block half-way through (such as in the Standing Block events) and then descends bringing the same boards back down. The axeman repeats the process up the reverse side of the tree concluding by severing the block in half. The 3 board trees are approx. 4.6m from the ground including the block being cut. The axemen stand on a board at a height of approximately 3.1m above the ground." Description from the PAAWA website.

You bring a blend of entertainment and learning, combined with just overall good natured competitiveness that is just great to watch. I admit I had the wrong perception about you in the past due to the old feud with the Mountain, but now I see that maybe I was too quick to judge especially considering that was a beef between you two (whether it was real or for the ratings doesn't matter) and you are a stand up guy and natural entertainer, an inspiring force of nature.
