    Your videos are beautiful. They calm way you shoot them makes it all the more enjoyable.
    The amazing this is that they are done from the deck of a fairly small yacht. Makes your route and access to the shallows so much more exciting.
    Please keep up the good work.

  • @tiara_richmarinadelrey2719

    Another perfect video of incredible beauty yet you underscore that exploring this beauty comes with danger and requires diligence. I can’t imagine Venture being attacked by a random ice floe. What you do isn’t all fun and games. But what you produce is a true gift to your community. Thank you Tony. Looking forward to Chapter 6

    I live year-round here in Alaska (near Juneau), and I can tell everyone checking your channel out that what you have captured in your videos are a true representation of the beauty I enjoy all year every year. I never tire of the beauty and grandeur that surrounds me every day. From the blue of a freshly-calved ice flow to the pinks, salmons, and golds of a summer sunset there is no equal anywhere else. I can say this because I have lived in (or visited) many places in both the U.S. and Europe. Thank you for sharing a truly beautiful experience.

    Loved this one, Tony. It brought back many wonderful memories of my own trip to Tracy Arm in September 2014. I thought it was one of the most peaceful and magical places I have been fortunate enough to visit. We were unable to get get near the Sawyer glacier as our entry was blocked by a huge iceberg on the last bend before it and the Norwegian Sky was unable to get around it. So thank you for sharing your own trip to the glacier to show me what was around that bend. 🤗

    • @FlemingYachts
      @FlemingYachts  Před 5 lety +1

      Glacier derives from the French word "Glace" meaning ice. I speak with an English accent which follows the original pronounciation. To use this one word with the US variant from the original would be inconsistent and therefore incorrect.

    • @paparayg
      @paparayg Před 5 lety

      @@FlemingYachts - The whole point of your narration is to effectively communicate your ideas to your audience. I'm 79 years old, spent 20 years overseas, and you are the very first one I've heard using the word Glassier instead of Glacier. Your audience is mostly American who speak the English variant of us commoners. Many words are not exactly pronounced as they are spelled, but everyone pronounces it the same way. This is called "common usage", By far, the "normal" common usage of the word Glacier is understood everywhere in English speaking countries. Only superior people speaking "High English" would pronounce it Glassier. I do have some experience with language, I used to be a German language interpreter.

    • @FlemingYachts
      @FlemingYachts  Před 5 lety

      @@paparayg Well I am 84 years old and have spent 60 years overseas. The British pronounciation of the word is as I pronounced it which makes it consistent with the way I pronounce the rest of the narration. I never heard it pronounced the American way until i came to the states. It makes no sense to me to pick one word out of the entire narration to promounce it the American way. My dictionary also says that it is the correct pronounciation. There are nearly 22,742 subscribers to our You Tube site and only one other person has ever objected to the way I pronounce it. To judge from the stats those who watch my videos come from all around the globe - not just from the USA.

    • @ArtGardenFoodExpressions
      @ArtGardenFoodExpressions Před 4 lety

      @@FlemingYachts Why do you entertain the silly American. You know how we are here. I would have ignored him. He couldn't see the beauty in the video for injecting his misery and picking out a word he deems is pronounced incorrectly. Blows my mind. There is not ONE THING I would change about the way you narrate. I love your videos so much, this is my second go at watching them. I have been craving masterpieces like yours, and please do not change.
