I love your videos but I noticed your background and image is always getting darker and darker, whatsup with that xD , Great vid, and logitech is finally "Stepping it up" with pricing and realizing there are other brands such as the Kemove/ Royal kludge/ GK61 and other brands placing their product in a competitive price point.
yeah, I think I went a bit overboard in this video, lol. Just testing a few different settings with lighting. I personally don't like it to dark.

I just got this keyboard and it is amazing for the money tbh. It makes it very fun to type. There's one con though, It's very loud and clicky but some people may want that.

That groove sounds pretty nice. Weird that they dont state anything about on their website. I noticed the G12 has a hole in the middle on the front side? whats that for? Kinda weird they dont do that on all their keybaords and that they dont market it, its pretty nice feature!
There's a huge difference in terms of key backlight, because of the cheaper switches on this one. 1. Not all symbols are backlit (look at number keys for example) and 2. The light spills out underneath the keys, which does not happen with G512 and G513. :) This is the whole reason the 512 and 513 were "special" and more expensive, they had to design the keycaps and switches in such a way that the keys have perfect backlight and zero light spill.
See, this is the kind of stuff I'm trying to find out. My little brother broke his SE, and logitech discontinued it, so they're offering me a standard 512 as replacement, but I couldn't figure out what the difference was. Seems like a regular 512 is a free upgrade for me.
What is the difference between this and the Carbon one pls? Sorry for my bad English.

My 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix was the SE version. There was the SE, GT, and GTP. The SE was the lowest model.

The keyboard is good, it is doing the job.But is the low version of anything you can imagine. Even the led for the numerical pad is missing. The top plate is made from Aluminium. The lower lid it is from plastic, so is quite lite weight. The software is good. The blue led switches are OK, nice touch, nice click sound. The key cap, are low quality comparing with corsair strafe. It is not washable or spill water resistant. 50 $ price , you are in the money !

Do you know any gaming keyboard similar to a laptop's keyboard? I mean low profile keys, no clicky/mechanical noises, keys with minimum travel and stuff? I really like the Logitech MX keys, unfortunately it has no rgb.

Man I just can't find the perfect keyboard for the right price... On paper this keyboard is perfect, great RGB and software, minimal and sleek design, full size with numpad, and a USB passthrough which I would love to plug the usb receiver for my MX Master into. It's pretty much got everything I want for 60 dollars, except one thing... I wish you had the option of a different kind of switch. I'm okay with blues, but they are so loud, and I would really want to grab this keyboard with something like brown switches.. Too bad. Everything is perfect and the price is great, but I probably won't pull the trigger due to the blue switches.

Just ordered this. Does it do the ripple lighting effect by chance? Say, if you press one key, it would ripple from that location. I found some posts that there are some things limited in the software with this model as opposed to the non-"SE" edition.

What's with the threaded hole on the back edge of this keyboard? Is it just a residual molding from another model's features that Logitech didn't bother to remove before producing this one? I've checked a few reviews and nobody seems to mention it...

Is this keyboard waterproof?
I bought this keyboard and I really like. A great deal for my needs. However, I cannot install Logitech's software on my work machine. If I configure lighting effects on a different computer, will they persist when the keyboard is used with a machine not running the G HUB software (i.e., is the configuration saved to the keyboard's flash/firmware)? Or does Logitech's software need to be running at all times to take advantage of customized lighting effects?

I don't really care that the cable is not removable. What matters to me is that there is no options except for blue switches. Would instantly snag this even for 10-15 dollars more if it had browns.
Logitech just took India's classic TVS gold keyboard, made some design changes and slapped it onto the market saying "SE". Lol
Too bad no one does reviews on really good keyboards like Leopold, varmilo, ducky, or filco. I’ve bought ONE Logitech keyboard in my life. Never again regardless of how good a “deal” it is. Once I went to ducky’s and Leopold’s I’ve never looked back.

It's cheap because my G512 Tactile (!@#$%^) Special characters and (mute,+-) Multimedia Keys have backlit on them.
2:16 while the SE don't have. It will be very useful in dark environment.
I chose this keyboard because it don't have a light noise (only the keys are being lighted), but seeing the SE's background light. Ughh, it has became like other Mech KB.
I didn't buy that keyboard because I bought the Razer Huntsman TE 3 days ago but I can't touch Huntsman until Christmas :( :(
It looks great, but I'll pass. I need the layout for my language (it has some special letters). It's really important for me because I won't use my new keyboard just for gaming. My previous one is just a few clicks from death.
