Life is hard but there are many natural ways to ease anxiety and pain, like pranayama. Pranayama breathing techniques can help us access our nervous system in a way that we normally do not access it. Nose breathing and diaphragmatic breathing are beneficial yoga breathing exercises for anxiety. Incorporating pranayama for stress relief into your daily yoga or meditation practices can help melt away the stresses and pain of everyday life. Want to learn more about how to do pranayama? What ways have you learned to encourage habits?
I learned I can't do it when my husband responds to me..?!
I have a brain injury from many years ago, but. my anger is the same or very similar in ways getting angered , before I can think, sometimes and or I dwell on that thought as ,when we hold grudges.
Breathing is an after the incidents happen?
@@cinmac3 you can watch the video as many times as you want.
@@cinmac3 Try to find a quiet place to watch the video. Multitasking is a myth for everybody. Breathing can help you in all incidents! It is our super power. Follow the tips from this video and let me know how it feels.

I've been trying to nose breathe at night when I'm sleeping, I've got a headband to help me and it's made a HUGE difference! Thank you for sharing Ann! xoxo
That's awesome. I have been using 3m medical take as mouth tape at night and it seems to work for me. Kind of weird but you sleep for 1/3 of your life, so it is important to breathe well while sleeping!
Tape!
I appreciate your perspective on natural ways. They do work often work wonders.
Yes, these natural ways are great preventative and adjunctive care!
I like the tip on breathing low. Great for relaxing, and for getting off to sleep quickly, especially after a stressful day at the office.
Great to hear you found it relaxing!
It was great to know that pranayama can help with anxiety and pain.
Yes! It absolutely can help with both.
Thank you! Nice pace, and very relaxing.
I need to remind myself to do this every day, thanks Miss Ann!
You are so welcome Mike!
Very well explained practical tips. Helpful video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!
This is great! My anxiety is always so high.
Tapping into your breath is great for anxiety!
thank you-this is so important. It is something yoga teachers know but sometimes do not teach or practice themselves. The practice is not only great for anxiety and stress reduction: it is an essential way to keep your lungs strong when they are challenged by any type of respiratory illness. Right now the exercises are helping me because I have a rib injury and although it is painful to take a deep breath, I must still practice and maybe modify slightly but it is a way to prevent pneumonia which can happen when there is constriction of breath. So helpful!! . RN,PNP, RYT
Franny thanks so much for commenting! Isn’t empowering that the simplest of things (like breathing through your nose rather than mouth) can make such a huge difference? It is definitely timely.
You explained this well!
Thank you!
Wow! These tips are outstanding Ann! Literally can't wait to put them into practice! :)
So happy to hear! Let me know if you have questions. :)
Thank you for taking the time to share this process Ann!

Breath work is so powerful and truly underestimated.
SO very true Alyssa!
Extremely helpful. Thankyou💖
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you that was wonderful! I wouldn't know what to do without pranayama and kriya yoga. Daily kriya yoga and meditation are essential practices for me, it was so great to hear the way you explained how breath affects us. Great pranayama tips!
The breath is so incredible and holds so much power in our lives.
Love this! This is so helpful for pain conditions. Breath work is one of the things I am always telling my students to focus on when healing chronic health conditions. Great video!
Lisa, it is key for pain relief. I use breathing practices to help with my own pain and with my yoga therapy clients with great success. Hopefully this helps you explain it to your students :)
Amazing breathwork video!! I love pranayama too, always important to take time and be present with the breath, look forward to watching again!

Very interesting.
Glad you think so!
Excellent, beti Ann Swanson 👌👌. What's the difference between Vegus nerve, Central Nervous System, and about sympathetic and parasympathetic systems.
One more request how the problems of snoring and of vericose veins can be solved with the breathing or with the exercises. Hopefully I'll get ur reply please. With great regards, prayers God's Blessings and best wishes jioji, ek maa 🙏💞❤️🙏🙏
Those are great ideas for videos. Thanks for the suggestions! For circulation issues, I would recommend legs up the wall, as long as it doesn't increase any pain. Check out this video: czcams.com/video/5ReQOrZla3A/video.html. Snoring can be a big health problem so I do suggest you talk to your doctor about it. However, the tips in this BREATHE BETTER video can help, as well as those Breathe Right nose strips. Hope that helps! More videos to come.
I've incorporated nose breathing to my evening meditation, as sometimes I dont always bring attention to my breathing or which type per say. Thanks Ann :) I've subscribed x
That is so awesome to hear Jenny! Are you noticing a difference?
@@AnnSwansonWellness yes absolutely it makes a huge difference

I really love this one!
Thank you Elizabeth! It was fun to make.
I wonder if that can help with the crick in my neck today. I’m going to try these techniques tonight. Thank you for sharing.
Did it work? I would love to know!
@@AnnSwansonWellness the pain has subsided however people were noticing that my neck was not straight so my ostheopath scheduled an appointment saying even if it doesn’t hurt much I probably need to be realigned.
Good tips, I do have remains shingles pain , back pain, I am trying to get in a better habitts, but, I am trying all this , but, not able to relax my abdomen.
Cindy, you are on the right track because awareness is the first step! It takes time and practice to find that relaxed, supple feeling in your belly as you breathe. If you would like to work with me 1:1 for yoga therapy to explore, head to annswansonwellness.com/yoga-therapy
Not ready, yet, I am trying this release with the foam roller , but, there's alot I must do right now on just this, it's going to take time, I don't know how long , but, I need to work on my posture immediately, too, but thanks......
Time and Pain are at stake for me, never mind, everything else.
