Humble Obeisances to Kannan Sir. When I first saw this video, my excitement had no bounds. Because I knew how brilliant it is going to be.
I thought I'll be a silent spectator. But I am seeing some comments which address this legendary Professor Shri V. Kannan as a mere old man, and are regarding him with names of that sort.
Just go to the Central University of Hyderabad and ask anyone about this revered professor, you will sense an immediate respect towards him in their appearance. The scientist in him is something you cannot imagine. He is the HoD for the Department of Mathematics. Kannan Sir owns so many patents in some complex mathematical studies. Many students feel it a blessing to do PhD under his supervision. He also served as the Vice-Chancellor for the University for many years.
Kannan Sir is equally well-versed in Vedic studies, Sutras and umpteen number of Shastras. His talks have a large magnitude of references from various sources which one cannot even imagine. Inspite of being such an unparalleled genius, he is greatly sticking to the context in this lecture and not delving away from it (like how some do just to show their prowess). Just because he is speaking about Vedas in this lecture, do not underestimate what kind of a personality he is. I have attended so many lectures of his in person for many years now.
It is not new to see that geniuses who have achieved scientific wisdom to the fullest have always seen a similitude in Vedas, appreciated it and considered it as a pathway to elevate themselves more.
We have seen Newton say "I go into the Upanishads to ask Questions".
We have heard from Erwin Schrodinger that "In truth there is only one mind. This is the doctrine of the Upanishads."
Neils Bohr, Einstein etc. have appreciated Vedas, because they have realized that the ideal wisdom is to graduate in the Vaidika marga - that is when their scientific intellect humbles and blooms.
And amidst these, we have Professor V. Kannan who is equally intellectual scientifically, as the aforementioned scientists. And above that, he also has such a great expertise in Vedic studies which other thinkers are yearning for. I read a comment that said Kannan Sir is a gift to present mankind, whoever typed the comment is absolutely right.
I'm not surprised that it is majorly Indians who do not appreciate masterminds like Sir Kannan. The colonial rulers must be feeling so delighted looking at all these.

This is a religion which, in its essence, taught love, peace and humanity. It is a faith that focused on the indigenous population of the Indus Valley civilisation.
As time went on, the people of this valley, as with other civilisations, faced numerous challenges. The need for commerce with other nations grew and, as people looked outward for opportunities, other cultures were swept in. Eventually, the pure religion of the Indus decayed. Invasions by external forces further weakened the culture and faith of the Indus Valley people.
Other gods replaced the True One and Only God, Brahman. Idols, in the form of humans and animals, took over. Ancient scripts were overlooked. People, under pressure from invaders and reformists, changed, or switched over, to false beliefs, hoping for blessings and prosperity.
It is now time for the people of India to go back to its roots. The Vedas, the ancient rules and laws, have not totally been changed. The true religion, is still there. The way forward is to return to the One God of the original scriptures.

@@prasanthd1795 Sir, You still didn't seem to understand what I told you to do. Professor V. Kannan ( the narrator of this video) has done 14 years of traditional Vedic learning, Veda Bhashya, Dharma shastra, Nyaaya, Tarka, Meemamsa, Vyaakarana, Nirukta and what not. He is the grandson of the great Agnihotram swami of Navalpaakkam. I have personally attended his lectures. He has 30-40 patents in maths. He is a very rare scholar and a gift this world has.
When you say that you cannot believe in Wikipedia, what can be so wonderful than listening to such a scholar who has done all the holistic and traditional learning throughout his life! Every Vedic quotable he has provided is his own, and you cannot find anybody else quote it so beautifully and with perfect recitation.
The fact that you are believing in the aryan invasion theory says how you have been deceived by the pseudo-indologists of today.
We still have the gotra system today. Vishwamitra Gotra, Gautama gotra, etc. which simply shows how one belongs to the direct blood-lineage of those rishis. And these rishis have been living here in india since millions of years. Your ancestors, mine have been here in india since the creation. Our ancestors have seen the epics happen in reality. Nobody made a civilization for us. WE ARE THE CIVILIZATION.
So, when the qualified bonafide master Kannan Sir, has made such a wonderful effort to give us this thorough insight, I don't think you can discard it away already thatt too by calling it 'rubbish'.

Veda is too complex to understand, so to learn it you need to be well versed in Vedanga the limbs of the Veda. There are Six Vedanga (śikṣā, chandas, vyākaraṇa, nirukta, kalpa and jyotiṣa). There are four Veda and Vedanga support is must to interpret the complexity of sloka. For example, the Rigveda has nearly about 3 crore mantras so if you alone spent full life time you cannot complete it. One cannot be master in a one Vedanga for example jyotiṣa. So, it’s better not to start learning these vast things with our limited knowledge and age. We have vast of Veda, Shastra, major and minor Upanishads etc. which cannot be cover within a human limitation. So, what’s the solutions? Lord Krishna has summarized in Bhagavad Gita in to the whole essence of Veda, Sastra etc are clubbed. in a form of simple understandable sloka. Geeta is the Raja Vidya King of all Vidya.
