Jimin is my eternal bias. There’s so much more to this man than high notes! He is a masterpiece. He is humble and never tries to take credit, but he’s also written melodies for some icon bts songs. His Serendipity live performance is an rnb piece of art!

Jimin loves art and you definitely can see it in his MVs the maze is actually representing the Fibonacci sequence, he loves double meanings and art and is a mathematical genius so you never know whats coming at you, I find him so interesting and love his mind boggling perceptions of things.the poem and surroundings represents a prison but where everyone can see you but you cant see them, thus their color of clothing etc..then at the end hes in white so hes set free..his entire album is great.

❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! (As opposed to certain other members. No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Jimin’s other songs “Face-Off”, “Alone”, as well as hidden track “Letter” are all equally amazing! Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! The set me free pt 2 title is taken from Agust D’s set me free but they are not related. Jimin is talking about being free from the norms and expectations since jimin struggled with being himself during the early years..at the end you see him in all white because he was reborn and free to be who he truly is..I love jimin.
Not taken. Instead, giving respect. Since the title have the same name with A member's music, and Jimin was the second one to have it, he decided to put pt. 2 on it so army and any listener don't get to confuse the two.
Besides, Jimin's like a sort of, continuation to suga's song. A kind of ending of some sort but not yet.. Hoping to see a conclusion to this song. Especially when he ended up in his white clothes. A liberation.

❣Jimin, growing up, since quite young age, even pre mid school, was always into hip hop & r&b music. Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just for amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon dance for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”.
Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young again 11 Jimin in 2007, not only performed already, on right front side of stage, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition. JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. Side Note: When learning Taekwondo, as a little boy, I believe Jimin said that doing the splits was one of the first things required to be able to do. He said that he'd put his legs split, up against the wall for quite long, hrs at a time. This was aside from still attending middle school Jimin, where he was already into all kinds of sports, including being part of soccer team,, but also basketball, even joined after school billiards, also excelling in track & field throughout his schooling.
Then, while going to Busan Highschool of the Arts, he then also studied & performed contemporary. Media even called Jimin “The rising star of Busan” after seeing Jimin perform on stage during a huge festival. JIMIN also studied, some ballet as well as even traditional Korean dance. But Jimin’s main love was always hip hop. Though he did enjoy dancing contemporary, which Jimin indeed excels at, to this day all his dance movements, have his exquisite body placement, amazing elegant, poised, clean lines, as well as he also always stands, even without dancing, with out-turned feet, his foot positions always end up while dancing in classical out turned foot position, placement that classically trained dancers have. Jimin found he could express himself even more through contemporary dance. Very few dancers have the ability to dance as many styles of dance as well as have the ability to incorporate all of them, even his gravity defying, martial arts, moves in his dance.

The whole dance and the song is about the thoughts and fears he experienced due to covid, he even said he realised he was drinking a bit more than was normal for him. Not that he had a problem with drinking as he realised that he was drinking a bit more than he normal would have and went back to his normal amount.

I’m glad you liked Set Me Free. Jimin has a very unique high voice, but he can also go low growl. But he’s a beautiful dancer. He went to an arts high school and studied contemporary dance for a few years, amongst other styles.

The dance practice for this and Like Crazy are for live performances, he did do this live with all the dancers. In this song, you will hear his vocal range in high, mid, lower register and some rap. Jimin' is a counter tenor, his voice has very high harmonics, that is why he sings the same vocal notes that hits a higher octave. It is more striking and hits the ear more stridently. In a large group his voice will be the most outstanding. It requires a lot of control and strength to sing like this. Imho, his voice is even better than Micheal Jackson. Yes his individual swagger is so cool because he is just so talented. He is a truly gifted artist and a deep thinker. Everything about his Album, Face, it's lyrics, music composition, choreography and styling, Jimin was the mastermind behind it. Jimin is a master of the stage and is great at expressing the lyrics through his dance, it is allways about telling a story, for him. He is the best in all of Kpop in interpretive dancing. That is why he is voted the King of Kpop and the rookies bible. This man is a generational talent, a once in a lifetime kind of star . Like crazy is an amazing song. You might like the Jimmy fallon live performance he does the english version while doing choreography that is not in the mv. FYI, they usually switch between English and Korean lyrics in all their songs. Jungkook is the only one who did full English album.jimin album tells a story from beginning to end on how he was feeling during the pandemic and his depression. Set me free, is him finally coming out of it in the end. I recommend the full album it is amazing.

I think this song was a huge shock to ARMY as Jimin had always done such gentle, lovely songs and this was the first released off his album. Huge impact. The set is designed like a Panopticon, a circular prison where the inmates cannot hide at all. Jimin knows, as one of the nembers who received the most hate, that he will be watched by everyone but has decided he is ready to face that, he won't hide anymore. The heavily autotuned voice is his inner shadow, his fears and the pure voice is him fighting his fears back. I never thought about the Matrix connection but I think you could be right. I love BTS, but Jimin is really indescribable🥰. From his debut songs, "lie", "serendipity", "Filter", to his face album, he is amazing. He always tries various music styles and dances. The panels represent a Prison/jail but it's in the round so there's no where to hide eg he can't hide from his darker thoughts those I'm not good enough thoughts. The not so nice things people have said about him eg that he can't sing. Remember he's had death threats, people saying the most disgusting sexual things about him because of his tattoo's (same thing said about Jungkook for the same reason their tattoo's). That haters used to say he was fat and untalented we know in the past some of those things really affected him and we don't know if those things also re appeared in his mind to plaque him again but we do know he felt he'd lost everything and friends due to covid because he said so when talking about the songs on his album. The music video is a picture of the battle of his mind.

Jimin is a dancer at heart, who has a beautiful voice. I am an old (45) newly minted BTS Army, I love BTS members, both their solo albums and the BTS albums. They are just an extension of each other, like they are so good doing their solo projects and beautiful together.

Jimin is my bias. I love his vocals. Beautiful video and choreography. My one complaint is the affects on Jimin's voice in this song. The affects are a very artistic part of the song. But, I just love Jimin's raw voice so much!

Jimin is one of the few professional male counter tenors in the world. He has a naturally higher range but also can sing in a lower range. Jimin’s voice is usually found in classical music and is unique and rare in the music industry. The fact this man can use his voice in pop music is phenomenal. I promise if you listen to some of his work, you will come to love his voice. Professional singers and voice coaches all rate Jimin extremely high and talented. Listen to his songs Lie, Serendipity, Truth Untold, House of Cards. Jimin has even rapped in Spanish with a relatively deep voice on J-hopes Song Chicken Noodle Soup.
Every member of BTS has a distinct individual voice and style, yet they all blend well together as BTS. Jimin is my favorite singer in the group and J-hope is my favorite rapper. I am African American, 60 and had the pleasure of Seeing Suga in concert last year, in Chicago. Phenomenal show and he runs circles around most of today’s rappers in style and lyrics. But I can also say the same for RM, the ultimate poet and lyricist. All three rappers in the group have very distinct styles, and can pull off a full 2 hour concert on their own. Oh, by the way, Suga can rap faster than Eminem.
