    Awesome hat Henry 👍🏼 I’m so happy that Henry’s numbers were great for most of the day! I felt bad for you that you wanted to go to bed, but couldn’t until his numbers came up...you are a wonderful mom Amy (and Andy is great too)! 😘 Janel in NJ

    So happy you posted a Type One video...as you know my Lydia is type 2...your morning is similar to mine,I have to make sure she is up in morning make sure she eats enough food with a protein and I also ask her what she wants for her snack,which she has to take more then one snack, to make sure her blood sugar doesn't go low, usually a orange and her mixed nuts...still having issues with her school letting her test, so she will be getting a 504 plan...she recently started Metformin and it has kept her blood sugar stable at 80 at least for now,she has never got as high as 100...looking into a Dexcom but so expensive,she hates poking her finger to check blood sugar...diabetes is a part of our life now but we make the best of it,I always worry tho...hope you have a great day Amy and family

    Such a interesting video. I kept wondering what it will be like when Henry gets older. How will he manage the lows in his sleep without you and Andy? I think you should train Ruby to bring Charlie a juice box. That way when he is out on the farm somewhere you don't have to go and find him. You could get her a little back pack.....her own little bee bag! Chocolate chip brittle?!?!?! How did that turn out? I would looooooooove videos showing you making that, the minestrone soup AND the bread.

    It’s so interesting to see type 1 diabetes from the perspective of a parent. I was diagnosed with type 1 at 25 and I can’t imagine what it would have been like to have it when I was younger. You’re awesome!

      @LauraCravenOfficial Před 4 lety

      @@amandagrempel7143 I was also diagnosed in graduate school. I know there is no good time to be diagnosed, but it was so hard to keep up with the pace of that environment in the months leading up to my diagnosis and immediately following. Hope you're doing well 😊

    Well, I loved Henry’s hat but it made me feel hot. It’s 42C (107F) here today, just in time for all the kids to go back to school, and I’m just sitting here sweating and wishing Autumn would come already. I want to fly to Minnesota and face plant in the snow.

    Not to get into the big debate over lower carb diet, but have you seen the Let me be 83 kid on Facebook? He is super active and super healthy, and doesn't have the highs and lows. My daughter is using this with my grandson, and his numbers are quite good at around 100, they only have issues with nighttime, I think because he's growing, he's 7. My husband ate whatever and the lows were so crazy. Just a thought, again not a debate. That being said, it's so awesome that Henry is so knowledgeable at his young age! Good for you all!

    • @dreamflight6000
      @dreamflight6000  Před 4 lety +1

      If he were our only child and homeschooled, it would be much easier to change just his diet but until our entire family would eat low carb, it just won't happen. It's not something we so can commit too. That's something I would support him choosing for himself though. However, I make home cooked meals everyday and we rarely go out so my kids are very healthy but yeah... We do see food spikes etc because if it.

      @@dreamflight6000 Yes, my daughter and her whole family (three kids) went gluten free and low carb, not no carb. So did I. It is a huge challenge, but works for us. Again, you're doing an amazing job! I never realized you had so many videos! Prayers for you and your wonderful family. So, fun to see all your adventures, and love your farm life! Who needs TV? Your videos are much more fun!

      carrin Bridgewater that’s definitely a rough age to be dealing with this disease. I rebelled hard against it at that age. Just don’t give up on her! I was terrible then. About everything. Cause I was so tired of being different. After 25 years of this disease I’m still tired of being different. I hate it but I have accepted that it’s a part of my life and I have to deal with it no matter how frustrating it gets. I hope everything goes great for you and your daughter!
