Spain, Italy, USA and Japan are always mentioned. And i have seen in other channels about the most loved countries, most handsome and pretty people, most beautiful language and French, Italian and Spanish are the most mentioned. The rank depends on the channel, but those three countries would have, according to the interviews, the most beautiful people, the most beautiful language, best food, etc. Personally I didn't like France so much, but I can say i love the Southern European scene. By the way, I was really impressed when i first watched a pure flamenco show. I would like the world to mind my country, New Zealand. We do exist.

I share the passion for Italy because the country is so diverse. It's actually a patchwork of various ancient republics like Venetian Republic, Neapolitanian Republic, Puglio, Tuscany, Liguria, Lombardia, each having its own colors and architectural features. I've been there three times. I also share the passion for Australia - I lived and worked there for two months in 1993. I also spent five months living and working in California, the US, but I would rather not return there now with their growing number of homeless people and littered streets. Portugal, Spain and France are good choices.
Bali seems to be popular with westerners and also Thailand.
I would love to visit India, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Latvija and Japan. Because of the nature, culture and they have very friendly people out there, everything. 😁

Countries I have gone to is some of the United States, Mexico, Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Hong Kong, Philippines, England, Germany, France, Portugal, Cameroon and Israel three times.. My Canadian family and I took a motorhome and travelled around Canada. Three places I haven't been to in Canada are Newfoundland and Labrador and the three territories.

I'm always surprised that people want to visit cold countries (like Iceland, Canada, etc...). It's not a problem with the people or their culture, but who wants to go somewhere to be cold? This is something I will never understand...

Interestingly no one mentioned Croatia. It's interesting because I'm curious if Danish people are aware of Croatia or is it just poor marketing from Croatian Tourist Board in Denmark? I don't even know is there some sort of marketing activities for Croatia? Can anyone from Denmark help me get the answers?
Yeah, I think it is mostly a marketing problem. I have seen many tourist videos online and know that Croatia has beautiful destinations, but generally it is just not a country that people hear much about - aside from when you beat us at the soccer world cup.
People do know about Croatia. It's actually a fairly popular vacation destination. I've been 5 times and everytime i have encountered several danish tourists.
Although i'll admit, places like Greece, Italy, France, Turkey and Spain are more popular by a large margin.
