I took my granddaughter here about 20 years ago to see the ladies pick crab. Also to see and learn from local waterman about the soft shell shedding pens. This is something most people in the world will never experience. I really miss the Chesapeake.
It’s a shame small businesses like this are few and far. The world doesn’t accept this type of work anymore. Meaning, how expensive everything is now a Days. It’s tough for people to just help out because, everyone’s out there trying to make a living, like this trio of ladies are trying to do. I wish I lived close I would give them a hand to help them out and to learn how to get that succulent crab meat. What I’m getting at is people now, are always working to make ends meet. So, to help out is tough and there’s only so many hours in a day. God bless these ladies and I pray there legacy keeps on keeping on🙏🏻

This is so charming. And so sad that it doesn't seem viable for long. I hate seeing traditions die out. Bless these people.
Give us courage, dear God, to face each new challenge and to move into unknown territory with trust in you. Amen.
