Hi Blockbuster was my childhood I love the store inside but it's not around anymore what awesome memories in the store I miss the video store stuff I really do
i miss blockbuster video so much and video rental stores were so cool and a get way to meet people and talk about movies with people
Across the street from the old Burger Chef was a Blockbuster Video
Which old burger chef?
@@ThePodCastDojo the one in Petersburg. You showed it at the end of your video.
Oh right. Yes I do remember a blockbuster near there I just couldnt remember where it was
The One At 9:39?
I remember a long time ago There were two blockbuster video stores in Manchester nh one on south willow st and one on the west side on Queen City avenue ware dollar tree is now and the one on south willow became standard bank and starbucks
My father managed in the company from 1994-1998. I spent much of my time in elementary school stationed at their Nintendo 64. I can discuss a lot about Blockbuster in the mid 90s.
Did he work around the Richmond henrico area where you are now?
@@ThePodCastDojo Yes indeed. At several locations. First was on Broad (now a carpet or tile store). Others were in Carytown (now part of Elwood Thompson), Pocono (not sure what's there now), near UR (now a tanning salon), and Gayton Crossing (now McAllister's Deli). I may have forgotten a few.
My 1996 high school yearbook (I was a senior) shows pictures of students going to the local video store to rent a video for the weekend. This includes other video stores beside Blockbuster
The last movie I rented from BB was the Pixar film Up and the last game I rented was Meet the Robinsons
I think the last movie I rented from them was Jeepers Creepers. Cant remember what was the last game I rented
I really enjoyed renting games and movies at blockbuster
Me too! Sure it wasnt very convenient in retrospect compared to what we have now with streaming but darnit those are memories we will have forever
I never knew Blockbuster because my town didn’t have one, we did have Movie Gallery though, we went all the time and I remember when they were closing with the liquidation sales. To this day the landlords have a very hard time keeping that space occupied
I only remember MG also. I think they originated out of Dothan Alabama
I think Alabama is where they originated
Family Video is still a thing at least.
Are they in Ohio?
Mideast USA
yes but they have closed alot of stores so how much longer can they last is the question
Can you please talk about an abandon amusement park called Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina? It was a short lived theme park & I honestly think it would make a great topic for you to talk about. I would love to hear a lot of the what if scenarios.
I can look at it and see what I can find. Thank you for your support!
Thanks Obama
