Georgia Ellery is really in two of the most interesting music projects today, the talent is insane
What is the name of her other band?
@@t3chnicolor she plays violin in Black Country, New Road
One of in my opinion haha. Peace and love. The record is an instant classic
Wow, I had no idea she was on Black Country, New Road as well
2:32 this is the correct way to dance to Jockstrap
that guy is so cute omg i love how happy he is
He GETS it
I want whatever he was having
Also a big fan of orange shirt guy at 5:18
He reminds me of my brother
Mad how Georgia is in two of the best bands in the country
Wait, is she that girl from Black Country, New Road?!

My "discovery" at this year's festival - loved it - love them!!
Highly recommend their album "I Love You Jennifer B" from last year. It's really great!
Shout out for the guy punching the air at 2.33.
Love the song ❤ amazing vocal
‘If you must punch the air, punch it in time. My father used to beat me in time.’
the absolute pinnacle of British Engineering
Veeeery _correct_ reference 👌
So ignorant now
@@jackjude she's also in BNCR
@@timeenbyvictorious I know, they are great :)👍
For anyone wondering: reference to a lyric in the song Sunglasses by Black Country, New Road, of which Georgia Ellery is a member.
Talented performers, beautiful songwriting, solid production that isn't afraid to push the boundaries while still maintaining established constructs. I've followed these guys online for a while and I'm glad they're getting well deserved recognition. Cannot wait to see them live this year!
Her voice makes me feel like I'm melting where I stand.. she's amazing and the overall music production is beyond anything out there
ah man her voice gives me goosebumps
The moment she started playing the violin i fell in love.
BEST EVER mom and dad mothering and fathering
this is the first time I've seen anyone call Taylor Skye father and I'm not sure how to feel about it
wow that was fucking amazing
I love her voice, it's like a soft cushion
the jockstrap slander in this comment section won’t be tolerated. this band is sick.
Too much for normal people
@@joshjoshjoshjoshjoshjoshj I love music and picking a name for your band should be important if that is what the slander is about, actually Slander would be a better name than Jockstrap.
Who do you think you are? Will not be tolerated 😂 I turned it off after seven seconds it was that dull
@@SiliconMolybdenumNitrogen It’s a joke lmao. If you actually took the time to listen to their song or any of their other stuff you would realize that this band is the farthest thing from dull. Expand your taste.
@@SiliconMolybdenumNitrogenno one who actually appreciates music would do this .
Finally, a pro shot take of this masterpiece
there's an arte concert version on yt which has better sound
This makes me feel happy about the future of music. Thanx.
Fantastic performance, especially the vocals goddamn. Georgia also just looks stunning.
What an absolutely stunning performance of a strange and magical song. Just brilliant!
What a voice
Great shot at 2:19 watching the crowd bopping to the music no phones out just enjoying the moment 👏 vocals are amazing!
Fucking love this band. Best set of Glasto.
Just discovered them playing a festival this year, really love their diverse stuff and this track is phenomenal. Contrast between the soft part and transition into the heavy-hitter is exactly how I envision it when water hits concrete
Have been following them and watched 3 of their gigs/festival sets and finally I can come back to this version to relive those live moments
Come to Brazil!
Upload more songs from the set!
Crazy weird mesmerising … hungered for that glitchy drop to come round again and again .. . Love the squeaky keys and orchestral huge stabs and vocal dexterity toying with structural dissonance. Special. Play, loop, repeat …
AKA Totally shit
she can fix me fr
I like the violin 🎻 playing.
I think that might be a viola.
That outfit is fire. It's so cool that she sounds way better live.
god i love being able to listen to beautiful stuff like this. makes life worth it :)
REAL
I’m loving their energy!!! So ethereal and smooth🤍🎧 I’m definitely gonna be looking into their work
Godstrap
Like goldfrapp?
True
I did enjoy watching the lad in the black tee and hat dancing 2:33
Excellent jumping and punching sir! 👏🏻👏🏻👌🏼
Sooooo goooood ❤
Best jockstrap recommend 10/10
Amazeballs…. Beautiful
i love them so much 🤍
Gorgeous
Amazing voice, hard notes to hit too
Brilliant ❤
I KNWO YOU
wow mesmerising !!
So good i love it😊
Goooo Georgia!!! Incredible woman
Exciting performance
crazy good
This is absolutely amazing. Gah.
An immaculate performance
Obsessed...
Great song ❤
Nice!
Hear the crowd roar at the end? … witnesses to a moment in Glastonbury Live history! ….
Why doesn't she do more singing for bncr
She's absolutely sick
She’s main vocals for one of their latest live songs (started performing after Bush Hall was released I believe). Hopefully more to come!
Bcnr has a different vibe her voice doesn't suit it much
@@Peachplumpearstan it actually does, their new song Horses is probably one the best things they've done post-isaac era.
She's not always able to perform for bcnr because of jockstrap, so they would need a singer to cover for her songs if she's not around. A violinist is easier to find. Still hope they can find a way, amazing voice
WOW
cliquei no vídeo esperando nada e achei uma banda muito talentosa
2:33 Dude's feeling it!
Awesome . . I rarely like new music these days but this reminds me of Portishead without sounding too much like them. Great sound 👌 ❤
2:35 slay bro slay
Slay bro slay
I was waiting for 2.35 after this comment and very much was not disappointed
Needs more jockstrap
Love it. Good stage name too, I know bands aren't really en vogue these days; solo artists dominating festival bills and using their own names (usually when actually fronting bands) is so unimaginative.
I love it when amazing subtle and beautiful music comes out of cheap equipment. People put too much into gear. I think that is a £77 SE V7 microphone. Another example, Google the guitar used on Bon Iver's 'For Emma..' album. Anyone got any other cheap gear performance porn for me to geek out over??
Boa
What was their second last track in their Glasto set please?
The City
full set on iplayer lads
where? can't find it. yo it says unavailable. anyone know where i can watch the full thing?
Yo, where, mate
@@MrRobot0it''s probably too late now
yeah i just checked I don't think it's there
i like to think that taylors little smirk at 2:31 is cos hes looking at the legend going feral in the crowd lol
I’m glad not everyone likes it. I love them but I’d be suspicious if there was no criticism.
I'd like to see a Jockstrap/ Goldfrapp collaboration.
Jockfrapp or Goldstrap?
@@danthemanwhocancan5263 I'd go for a concatenation of both names - Goldfrappjockstrap - just for the tongue-twistiness of it.
That would be epic
Oh my god now I'm seeing some of the similarities
The classic ballad type vocals and weird electronic stuff
I always wished goldfrapp did something similar to their first album
Do glasto crowds pay more attention to the music than American festival crowds or am I being manipulated by editing
I was there (+ in this video 😅) and yeah, the crowd was amazing. I don’t know if it was the hot weather or just “Glasto” energy but everyone felt super connected, barely any phones out too
@@paradiselostxthe crowd at Glastonbury leave their egos at the door…‘it’s very unique in that way

it's lucila safdie

2:35 … exactly how I feel

Cool shirt
Georgia Ellery is one of the best musicians alive fr
Wow bucket hats must be super popular in UK
This anthem should become the title of the new Bond movie. And Georgia Ellery will be the most glorious Bond girl since Diana Rigg.
This band made me raise an eyebrow
this was insane + amazing + theres probably at least one person named Sock in the crowd
She makes me feel funny.
crying
Why are british crowds so much better
Georgia Ellery is a fucking goddess ❤
the brits probably failed to make good vehicles, but their band creations are always excellent.
Wtf??… Bentley, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Mini, Lotus ? We’ve failed at a lot of others things but vehicles isn’t even in the top 20
Nathan Barley's favourite band.
The idiots are winning
She doesn’t Americanise the word “water” as much, live.
Definitely hearing Radiohead influence in this
I hear radiohead influences everywhere
@@mrleahcim95makes sense because Radiohead is probably the most influential act in recent history and still around.
anyone know what synth he's playing?
Looks like a Roland Gaia
How many tropical fish had to die to make that outfit?
Serious question, Is that a wig he wareing?
Sure seems to be.
People writing shit about this band, they are doing something that does not fit into the mainstream, for that, they need respect, not slander
Brillo Pads
What did they call themselves ?
One of the best songs of the last 10 years people who like commercial garbage won’t get it
It is possible to enjoy this and/or commercial pop without calling either garbage
@@tomofthetombamen
Someones a Joni Mitchell fan..
Putty about the terrible camera work. Didn’t get any feel for the stage presence of the band at all. Too many close ups. Not enough mid and full stage shots.
great band, terrible name.
these hipster band names are getting ridiculous
it’s a dope name. Shush
sweaty balls is infinitely better than jockstrap@@iiloveemusic
@@nedscheebly731 you right!😏
All the primitive names were already taken
Amazing band. Terrible logo.
I guess calling this band “Diaper Rash” would be a bit to on the nose.
I really don't get the hype, there's moment of really nice music and then its ruined by awful glitchy whatever noise
