@John Cincy yeah but lsd is a drug you might not wanna try in a big crowd. If you feel like getting out there and you can't, the feeling can turn everything into a horrortrip pretty fast.
lsd is something you mostly take with some friends in nature or something.

The melody is awesome, absolutely iconic and on it's own it is so catchy.. but the bass coming in at 0:30 just sends it into overdrive.. memories of school and college come flooding back at the first note.. amazing.

As a fan of all, and I mean all, MGMT's stuff I get a bit annoyed by some so-called fans hating on this track, and the other two "hits". They are brilliant in their own right and the contrast between this and something like A Good Sadness, for example, is why I love this band - they do various musical styles so well and I'm sure if they had a mind to they could easily put out another album like OS. But they do what feels right at the time which is what all good bands do.

This song takes me back to 2007 living in Ann Arbor, Mi......in love with a girl I never got over, out of drug treatment and 22 years old.....those days/times were full of euphoria, bliss, tragedy, melonchloy, and a magic I miss in a way thats not easy to express. This song was able to capture the innocence of youth with th tragedy of adulthood. "Enjoy yourself, take only what you neeeeed from it."

i feel so meh because i know that they don't really like to play this song anymore and rather ridicule these people that are like WOAH KIDSSS but then again which band doesn't think like that about their biggest hit
Most bands đđđ kinda shitty on their part for ridiculing fans for enjoying one of their songs. I'm sure many of their fans got into MGMT via songs like Kids.

Saw them when they were touring on the Little Dark Age Tour. Best concert Iâve ever been too. The band all came out and met everyone and signed records and stuff. Amazing night.
