Great video, I have the Pioneer 6600nex and applied the parking brake bypass. Took me about 10 tries but finally worked. PS I am on firmware 3.0

@@jonathansoto9689 I used my phone as stop watch, main thing is to ensure at the 10sec mark move to next position quickly , finger placement is crucial also

Sweet!!! I just tried it! Totally legit! I have this unit installed in my 03 Dodge Dakota. I use the mirror cast adapter for my iPhone to watch videos with no problem.

I had issues with this until. I bought a phone car charger because the USB did not give the power needed. Just make sure you get a bidirectional micro HDMI cord, and I have an iluv adapter for the HDMI USB and USB type c cords.

It seems to me he has some vehicle data link behind that radio.. some interface because the oem settings is highlighted in his settings. Meaning if you don’t have a data bus and wire harness connected this might not work…

I know this video is 3 years old but it still works. Did you try using the fire stick remote to change the volume? I can't get my volume up/down buttons to work on the remote. The Home button works on the remote and I can use it to return to the fire stick home screen. The steering wheel control still works to change the volume, however. Any ideas?

Yep no special wire and he’s got the DMH-WT8600NEX and I’m gonna test this on my 4660NEX tomorrow with the latest update to see if it still works. 🤞🏻

I have done this multiple times today. The set ON message flashes but still tells me to put it in park! I'm so lost. I just paid $600 for this w4660 and it won't let me bypass!

@@BradyQuinn10ND I had first tried a micro HDMI adapter with the female end and nothing worked. I then tried a micro hdmi cable with the male end and got the coupler that Enyel mentioned. I was finally able to get picture, but then it stopped working. I don't know if it's the coupler or the cable, but this combination seems to work. The micro hdmi adapter does not work
@@BradyQuinn10ND I wanted a right angle micro HDMI cable so I found one on Amazon. It was a cheapo Chinese brand, so that might be the issue.

Playing..to bypass that, all u have to do is get u a toggle switch, w a red and black wire..take the lime green wire on ur radio and connect that to the red wire in toggle switch, and then just ground ur black wire to a screw, the all
U have to do is when u put ur car in gear, and the attention messege pops up,
U turn the toggle switch on, and it bypasses rhe parking break and ur video starts playing again…i dont understand all that stuff u was dojng to bypass the parking break..🤷🏼♂️..that light green wire is ur parkig break wir3. U just DONT wire it into the harness..u wire it to a toggle switch and ur done..and just mount ur toggle
Switch somewhere easy to get to mine is right under the dash close to the radio…takes about 15 minutes to install,.and then only takes 1 second to turn on and bypass the pArking break
You can always buy the $10 cable from eBay so you don't have to do the touch bypass. Just get in your car and drive. I only watch music videos. REALLY SUCKS that pioneer made us do this instead of just grounding the yellow wire. Bastards i tell ya!
Haha, yea before i use to ground the green wire to by pass it but now it doesnt work with the pioneer headunit.

Easier way to do this is just ground the park brake wire during install
Didnt work for me, i tried that with other brands but with the new pioneer grounding the e brake directly doesnt work nomore

HEY, CAN YOU JUST GROUND THE GREEN WIRE?
Not usually on Pioneers. Good Pioneers anuwaus. You can hook up a toggle switch. Green park brake wire from headunit into toggle, then on the switched side of toggle run wire to chassis. Pioneer units need a timed ground.
I tried it and it did not work, but there is a resister you can install to bypass it.

The headunit have a browser which have mobile youtube.com as a favorite and that how you can use youtube, it doesnt have a specific youtube app in the system. That why i installed a firestick which i can do more.
