Proof that there is a great side to the Czech Republic, without all the expensive ham, fighting monks and money changing on the street. Keep it up Janek and Honza!
Where are you from?
@@ondrejrybar4958 UK, how come? I love Honest Guide and how they show us how to avoid tourist traps, scams etc
This is just about everywhere in CR. What are you talking about? Have you been here?
@@MichaelHradek I thought it was just in Prague and maybe in a few places on the outside of the city.
There is good and bad people everywhere. The biggest problem is when people do bad things together.
Accidentally stumbled upon to Janek yesterday while my wife and I are exploring the amazing Prague. Such a humble person he was.
Not only is this lighthouse more than 800 meters above sea-level, it's also more than 350000 meters _beside_ sea-level! :D
i where just thinking about that when i saw it. there is no coast! 😀
@@perwahlstrom2212 From a world peace point of view, a country with 100% naval battle winrate is better to be kept without any sea.
Its a geological oddity😃
@@perwahlstrom2212 Well, there is always a coast somewhere around, it's just unfortunate that the lighthouse in not visible from any of them. :-D
look up ulverston - where I live. It has a standalone lighthouse upon a hill with no coast. They just call it a monument
"Janek Rubes vole" :D
Typical Czech man ty vole :D
no jeste, ze to netocili v ostrave. Zejo... :D
@@ttmch7048 Snad příště :)

We just a few hours ago were watching a tourism show here in Korea. The host was in Czech Republic and I was able to point out and tell my husband all about how I already knew all these locations and their meanings through all the years watching Honest Guide.
All except for one... the host visited a glass factory.. this exact same one!!!
And now the one place they featured that I didn't know is here on your channel just a few hours later!! How amazing. 😄☆
If you decide to visit, do not make the mistake of staying only shortly. Prague is amazing, no doubt about that, but we have more to offer. Plus you asians need to let the Stockholm syndrom kick in to enjoy our heavy food coming in huge portions. Outdoor activity helps with that.
@@Pyrochemik007 definitely will bring kimchi with us when we travel. I hope that doesn't offend all the delicious Czech food. We will certainly enjoy all of that too ☆
@@FlameEmber Czech cuisine is known for very mild flavours, so it may in fact ruin it. While some complain that meat tastes just like meat, we would complain when meat doesnt taste like meat. The historical reason is we were far from seaports, so trade with spices was too expensive, plus our national cuisine is coming from common folk, thus expensive ingredients are not used, apart from local ones. As a sidedish we do eat fermented vegetable, the infamous saeurkraut, or sour pickled vegetable. Plus, as any slavic nation, we do have "kompot", conserved fruit in sweet water.
@@FlameEmber I forgot about this - restaurants do not allow people to bring their own food inside and eat it there. Not only it harms their profit, but also threatens their very existence since all food must be made according to strict EU hygiene standards.
what was the show called? i vould like to watch it
Have you been to Ceska Kamenice / Decin? This is the town where my ancestor was born and lived until 1905 when he immigrated to Brazil. I have his diploma from a technical school, where he graduated as "Crystal Engraver".
Wow awesome! My dad was Czech and also came to Brazil 😊 but from Klatovy.
Lots of love from Mumbai India 🇮🇳 . Czech Republic🇨🇿 is my dream destination janek and honza. I will surely come to your country once.
7:29 Janek tries and fails to create a perfect sphere of glass. I guess you could say... he blew it!!! 🤣
I fear I will repeat myself - you guys are amazing. I love how you show your country with pride and such passion. The Czech Republic is a beautiful country. I'd love to see Telč (city of European Rubies), or a castle tour (there are so many gorgeous castles) and finally - please even more on travelling the CZ by train (you have suggested so many great cities that can be easily reched by train from Prague or Vienna - what would be the ultimate train trip weekend)
Stay safe and healthy! :-)
Greetings from Tricity in Poland! Czech Republic is lucky to have you :-)
Tricity is beautiful and with some records holding, too. Plus it inspired not only other famouse youtubers to include you (like the longest blocks of flats etc), but also the Witcher 3 and it´s city of Novigrad has some Gdansk Unesco heritage built in just for the fun of it.
And your country has the biggest statue of Christ (bigger than Rio) and closest dune sea to Czech Republic, so definitely a reason to visit each other a lot :)
It looks like a lovely area, the glass blowing pub looks like a lot of fun. Well done Janek & Honza - more videos like this one would be nice.
Yes please, I'd love more video's like this where you highlight cool places in small towns and in nature.
THIS is what you need to do. Praha is only a part of the most beautiful country in the world and I miss my home terribly. Don't forget Brno!
0:49 Me: Why is Janek going to the observation deck on such a foggy day? 0:58 Janek: "You may be wondering....." 😂
The man in red blowing glass has sandals and shorts on 😂 Amazing video as always! The worker check in system is called a punch in or punch card in English.
Safety first :-D
Thank you Janek for bringing attention to the Czech Republic as a whole, not just prague. Your work is incredible and I am so excited every time you upload a new video.
I visited last October some places in the Liberec region : the city of Turnov and the castles of Rotstejn and Valdstejn, where I saw the most beautiful forest in my life. Wonderful places and memories !
Try to visit Šumava (mountain range in south), there is a spruce primeval forest called Žofínský prales, at mountain of Boubín.
Oh, I live near Rotštejn. Greetings from Czechia.
@@martin_tauchman You are blessed living in such a beautiful area. I hope to come back soon ! Greetings from France !
Parádní video Janku!!! Děkujeme, že se s námi podělíte o své krásné poklady.
English Translation: Awesome video Janek!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful treasures with us.
*So cool!!! Love ❤️ the inventions and food.
Díky kluci že jste se u nás v Rokytnici stavili 🤩🦊🐑🐻⛏️
Also liberace was a great singer. Like Elvis.
You should do a video on Liberec, there is so much you could talk about like the zoo, iQLANDIA or Jested.
Hiya! Sorry I startled You Janek when I knocked on the window while you were working . I walked by and was seeing someone watching Your video, until I realized it was actually You editing. I didn't wanted to disrupt, but also was kind of amused, because we were watching Your videos to prepare for the trip and joked, that maybe we will see You around. And there You were! So I gave You a RLL -> real life like (thumbs up) ;). Keep up the good work!
That was lovely, the environment is so beautiful. Thanks
Such a lovely place ❤️
It’s been a long time since I last visited the Czech Republic. You’re inspiring me to put it on our shortlist.
Greetings from Nürnberg!
This was one of the best videos of this channel. Loved it. Thank you. ❤️
Fantastic video. I really like that you are showcasing different areas of Czech ! Really inspiring
That glass works and brewery in one is absolutely amazing, been to Harrahov and Rokytnice few times but never heard of this, adding it to bucket list. You are doing perfect job Janek and Honza!
Are you czech or of czech heritage?
@@Pyrochemik007 Sikora is a common Polish surname, equivalent of Czech Sýkora. Same meaning.
@@Pyrochemik007 Darwinek was quicker with answer - I am Polish, just visiting Czech Republic from time to time
This place is SO BEAUTIFUL. Have been to Prague , this will be my next destination for sure
This is exactly what I hoped for. I love the history of Czech glass makers!
Make sure to buy something, it is still considered world class quality glass. Christmas are coming, so you should order decorations right away, that company probably sells them online.
Thank you Janek and Honza, for all of your videos and tips! We just got back from Prague and it was a very successful trip due to all the information that you put out to the public in an entertaining and interesting way!
Love these videos. Hope to visit soon!
JANEK COULD YOU PLEASE LET PEOPLE KNOW HOW ACCESSIBLE THESE PLACES ARE FOR THE DISABLED CHEERS MATE 👍
The most popular places in nature are usually accesible to some degree but those less visited ones would be very difficult with any standard wheelchair. Bring a few strong friends if you're adventurous. I'Ve helped to carry some of my friend to some riddiculous places. I still remember my disabled friend uttering a smashing one liner some 30m above the ground:
"I'm less afraid of fall than you are. It'd be difficult to get any more crippled." :-D
Most points of interest inside towns are quite decent but places like belltowers and castles are rarely easy. Most places try to accomodate handicapped people to some degree but not all routes would be accesible.
Yes, these places have a Caps unlock button.
@@mortisCZ THANKS 👍

Thank you! Keep it moving!
Me as a guy from Liberec.... I live to visit lookout towers when its foggy.
I have been watching your videos over the last few weeks and I will be visiting Prague in the Christmas holidays. Your videos are really helpful and makes one to visit Prague even more. I have just bought your guide book and I am eager to receive it. Keep up the good work, love from Malta.
I found this channel an hour ago, and I'm already planning a trip to Prague. So far, the beer video is my favorite.
Omg this is an amazing episode!!! Blessed make more out-of-Prague episodes!!!😍
Keep it up Really Janek and Honza!!!! i love it
Thanks for doing these out-of-town videos! I’m learning about moving/retiring in Prague in the next couple years and it’s great to see surrounding areas and the awesome nature. Maybe you could go to Hradec Kralove and tour the Petrof piano factory. 😀
I made a similar trip, starting from Harrachov, walking along the river (I think the Elbe/Labe?), seeing numerous waterfalls. When I top to the top of the ledge, I could see Snezka in the distance, so I went there. It was one of my favorite hikes during my 5 years in the Czech Republic.
really great video, thanks!
Simply stunning! 🌲🏞🌲
I love your channel and you have a lot of great videos. I think that this one is my favorite so far. Thanks!
Wonderful video!! I am hoping with all my heart I can come to Czech next spring and visit not only beautiful Prague but the rest of your amazing country!
I personally would love to see an honest guide on lodging, where to find cheap, safe and beautiful places to stay (even in small towns.)
This is just beautiful, I would love to see more outside of Prague content
It's beautiful in the fog, must be absolutely stunning on a clear day!
Awesome video, guys! I love Czech Republic and Czech people! 🇨🇿
I keep an old game as a present when I was young called pexeso with various Czech’s castles and sightseeings! Beautiful country! ♥️🖐🏻👍🏻
I’d love to see more of these videos showing other regions of the Czech Republic!
Would LOVE to see more videos of the surrounding areas, especially nature. Our first visit to Czech took us directly to Brno, Czech and being US citizens, we rented a car. Our guide STRONGLY suggested against it. Pshaw! We went to the forest at the height of the berry picking season. It was SO worth it!
Such a picturesque place is definitely worth visiting! It's truly hidden treasure. Both natural and man-made delights please eyes and inspire to have a look with your own eyes. Thank you, guys, for this amazing video!
Very happy you like it, thank you for a lovely comment!
These places are magical!
Love the nature keep this kind of content coming
Great video. You've definitely inspired me for my next hiking trip which will be Liberecký Kraj. I love hiking in the Czech Republic and I would love to see you create more videos of hidden treasures of the Czech Republic.
I would love to see a Christmas markets video, where you recommend where to go and what to buy at each Prague Christmas market that is unique or made by smaller locally owned retailers.
I’m in love with the glass factory. Was so enjoyable to watch. I will have to add it to my bucket list.
I really want to visit it! Thanks for your videos, amazing as usual 😊
The fact I saw Scotland capital Edinburgh at 1:16 of the video so cool
stunning .. love it..
Love the Czech Republic !! Thanks Janek !!
Awesome places, thanks for the video. Will have to visit them all.
Yes more of this!
beautiful forest , waterfalls and so on...would love to go there!
Diky Janek and Honza to show us this region. I will visit it for sure next year. The glassworks and the brewery are very nice.
Thank you so much. Color me re-inspired to visit the Czech Republic!
Beautiful footage Honza! The guy in the glass factory with the shorts, and flip flop shoes is insane!
Love your channel guys. Greetings from a follower from sunny Madrid!
Thank you. Krkonesše is a beautiful place. Show I must go visit l. Please show more gems like this.
So fairy tale beautiful! I love fall!
I am glad that you show our beautiful nature too. If anyone is interested in knowing more about the greatest inventor Jára Cimrman, I published video about him just a month ago (in English).
Very Beautiful video . I Love Czech Republic. Thank you for showing Beautiful places.
Great video guys! I lived in the region for a while but never seen these.
Definitely want to see more about the ski areas in Czechia!
Thanks to you I know where I will spend my next vacation.
Jára Cimrman is like Forest Gump, but the story is more older....
Wating for the next episode of traveling around Czech Republic, by honest guides:)
Yes more parts of the CR. And I want Czech dumplings!! I'm going to have to visit again as soon as I can.
So beautiful!
The Cards for the workers in the Glass Factory are called ""Time Card" or "Punch Card" in English for anyone wondering :)
Thanks again for the inspiration, we are doing this region third week of Aughust.
Great movie! Inspired us to visit! ❤️😃
The foggy weather makes it even more beautiful for me! 😍
BEAUTIFUL!!! 😍😍😍
More regional content, please.
Wow, tolik věcí, co jsem nevěděl/neznal v jednom videu. Díky kluci!
Jo a sklář hodně pobavil, vole :D
The glass factory is so cool!
Thank you for this video! I have been to Rokytnice nad Jizerou some 10 years ago for a school trip, but I was only about 14ish years old so I didn't really care for the place and I had no interest in skying either (which was why we went there). I do remember the surrounding nature being very beautiful though! Maybe I should actually go check it out again!
If you had the chance to do so, I'd love to see more videos about hidden treasures in the lesser knows regions of the Czech Republic 😁
Hey honesty guide, I like your videos very much. I was planning to go to your country in March, 2020, but I had to cancel my trip because of Covid, and then I found you on CZcams so I think it’s so good to see your country through your videos. Here is one suggestion from me: can you also share some transport information when you introduce such scenery to us? That would be so great to people who use public transport to travel in Czechia. Thanks!!!
lOVED IT - THANK YOU. HOPE TO VISIT SOME IN 2022.
Yes, more places for immersive experiences, including national parks.
This is an awesome video.
Great video, please do more videos like this outside praha.
Liked it a lot... he is so proud of his country ❤ I salute you from italy
Grüsse aus Deutschland.
I might start learning a new language ...now I know "waterfall" already
The architecture in the forest is great
Great, I always plan to approach nature wherever I go , wish I can visit the places after boarder reopen
Thank you. Great 👍
Yes please. more content from Czech Republic. this place is now on my list but i need more to make this trip for a week.😀😀
Beautiful place.
Can't wait for pandemic to chill off to visit Prague / Czech republic
Beautiful
Excellent ideas. Many thanks! Can you also make a video on good hotel deals in the city center?
@honestguide: you should do a circle around the whole country, since youre in liberec atm in this video, explore it more, big cities liberec, jablonec etc. then move to another part of the country and do the same.
Really Beautiful
