RIP Lance Reddick, you really were the best
He really was. loved him in Fringe. RIP.
@@CyberBeep_kenshi I knew him best from Destiny
“He was a good dog. I have enjoyed his company.”
RIP Charon and Lance Reddick. May the boatman bear you swiftly across the river to the fields.
CRINGE
Bill Skarsgård did a great job of making the Marquis a character the audience wanted to see humbled, not just defeated.
Well, he felt that for about a second during that 'oh shit' moment when time slows to a crawl, before having a ball of lead lodged in his head courtesy of an old flint lock...Beyond that, death in general is pretty humbling, I'd imagine.. So, you can say every one he kills gets 'humbled'.
He was lame as fuck. Horrible casting
Charon
JW 1... Not nearly seen enough but was an extremely courteous presence.
JW 2 ... A great heart who looked after Dog.
I love how he knew that Santino D'Antonio screwed over John and he wasn't as polite to him as other guests.
JW 3 ... Fighting along with John Wick and making his presence known.
JW 4 ... He did not deserve that.
Thank you so much, Lance Reddick
🌹
Atleast we'll see him one last time next year in BALLERINA because of his cameo! :)
Wait I just found out he passed away this year at 60 years old. I literally thought he was 40 or something. That's crazy, he looked amazing for 60
The final chapter in the John Wick Saga. But this is not the end, as Keanu Reeves might come back as Baba Yaga in one more John Wick film, but for now, hes getting all the rest he needs.
And there’s a spinoff movie coming starring Ana de Armas, and a prequel TV thing about a young Winston
I’d be down for a spin on the series. John and Winston faked his death and a new hit man, who has a grudge against John wants revenge on him and has to go through Winston’s people to get to John.
I love the worldbuilding of the john wick series so I sure as hell hope they either have a show or more movies in the same universe.
Same
The radio deejay in Paris was a nod to the movie The Warriors about a street gang that has to move through rival territories to get home. It also had a deejay that told their location. The Warriors is worth checking out too.
My dad loves that movie. He picked up on that reference.
Yep, I caught that.
The fat man that he fights is an actor/ martial artist/ movie producer named Scott Adkins. Dude is a legend, he's a real martial artist and he's produced a few of his own movies that are great in their own right.
let me confuse you more, remember in 2, after Winston shot John, only the dog reacted where he was. In the cemetery scene, when the king ask where could he be, heaven or hell, winston answered, nobody knows, yet the dog reacted as if it knew where he was, looking at a direction, hehehe, goodluck
I thought I was the only one who saw that. 👍🏻 good job
The incongruity of a sweetie like Addie watching such an over the top violent move is interesting.
I love the way she looks delighted, then she looks like she feels guilty for being delighted, then looks delighted again.😂
@@dr.burtgummerfan439
Yep. That pencil scene reaction two movies prior was peak.

Best. Conversation. Ever.
So... I saw a short clip of the director of John Wick talking about how Keanu made up this thing where while changing the magazine out he quickly twists his hand left and/or right to "throw" the magazine out of the gun more quickly, resulting in a quicker change of the magazine. This was something Keanu made up on his own and now everyone is using it, including professionals!
He wasn't the first to do this but it's definitely becoming more widespread because if him...
👍🏻
Fun fact: Both Russian mob bosses from the first and second movie and the bad guy in this movie are all played by Swedish Actors. They have a knack for it, it seems.
He's one of Keanu long time friends
Caine/Donnie Yen is an amazing martial artist. His IP MAN movies are emotional and action-packed.
"that has some FIRE power" haha that quip while he is using the dragons breath ammo is perfect, love all the reactions Addie and thank you so much for all the entertaining content! glad you did the John Wick franchise as they are works of art in terms of stunt work, choreography and directing! I look forward to more reactions.
also so far there is two spin offs confirmed. none with John Wick, one is about the Continental hotel in the past and one about a ballerina like is seen in the Ruska Roma scene when John goes back in chapter 3 and is played by Ana De Armas
Great job of Keanu Reeves, Bill Skarsgård, Donnie Yen and especially, of Lance Reddick, who despite not appearing much, you can see how he was a great actor and a great man. RIP 😢
This is brilliant way to have your cake and eat it. It provides a satisfying conclusion if no more John Wick movies are made, yet leaves enough ambiguity that allows for a sequel to be made without insulting the audience's intelligence.
12:44 who could have know "murderous Addie" can be that funny XD
In September 22nd and during three weeks, there will a tv series of three episodes named "The Continental: From the World of John Wick" where we will follow a young Winston in the 1970's and we will know how he became the manager of the New York Continental. Next year, we will have the first spin off named Ballerina that happens between the third and the fourth movie with John Wick as a guest character and we will follow the revenge of one Ruska Roma ballerinas after the attack of the Adjudicator and Zero to the Director and the Ruska Roma mob in New York, indicating that the Adjudicator can be the main villain of the movie since she escaped John Wick in the third movie and she doesn't appear in the fourth one.
I really enjoyed the movies when John Wick 4 came out, the best of the entire saga, I also cried a lot at the end of the movie after a long time that didn't make me very emotional in a movie!
I really liked the Chilean actor when he spoke moments in Spanish and he was one of my favorite villains
Now comes a Series inspired by the John Wick saga, The Continental: From the World of John Wick, It premieres on Peacock only in the US and Prime Video worldwide
Keanu totally owns his characters and Wick is beyond iconic; don't worry he'll be back one way or another (there' s always prequels and parallel universes/Tv series etc.) Love your reactions to these too :D
Every movie in this series is the best one!
THE BEST JOHN WICK FILM. No one will convince me.
Edit: Donnie Yen, Rina Sawayama, Hiroyuki Sanada, and the new cast were really amazing!
38:07 Best line to shoot a bad guy.
Yes they are making a fifth one, his death was most likely staged, but I think he’s coming to finish the high table once and for all.
Another great review Addie! Always fun to watch!
"Loving husband" is such a good line in a perfect place in this movie.
22:46 little fun fact about playing cards they can be deadly if they are handled precisely enough. I saw a video on Reddit about that very thing a couple of days ago this man was throwing playing cards into plywood and they were sticking pretty deep.
Hard to pick a favorite chapter, but this one definitely has my favorite rival for John in the form of Donnie Yen (my favorite martial arts actor), it also brings back some emotional undertones that I felt were missing since the first movie and it gives closure to the whole ordeal which is appreciated.
I saw a BTS clip of Keanu learning to do all the precision driving stunts so that they didn't have to "hide" a stunt driver. What a lad!
Two spinoffs. The Continental set in the 70s and the Ballerina
Great movie and a great reaction. Here's a thought, I think Winston is John's father, I don't know why I believe that. Loved the dog and him taking a leak on that guy, paybacks can be a bitch.
An odd comment, but when I was in elementary school, the phrase "coup de grace" was enough a part of America's shared culture that even children knew it (though we didn't necessarily know how to pronounce it properly). Now, I see numerous adult CZcamsr reactors who don't know what it means.
A theory. The suits that the wear are kinetic armor. So instead of absorbing the blow, it rather disperses the impact. So fall damage could be greatly increased and often survivable due to spreading the force... cars and the roof of the continental included..
This one was SO good in the theater. The sounds of his punches at the very beginning were so loud they shook the room.
This is the last “John Wick” movie. He will return in Ballerina next year which takes place between 3 and 4. Continental is the tv series.
This is the last of this series of films but there is a couple of spin offs already in the works you might get a cameo from Keanu Reeves.
I'm so glad that you're FINALLY caught up with the John Wick film series. As a result, I plan on having a John Wick marathon, soon. I did see this movie in theaters with my girlfriend, but I vaguely remember the movie. That's why I plan on having a JW marathon.
I would recommend to watch The warriors from the year 1979 because it is referenced in this movie
Those shotgun ones that flame up are called Dragons breath and they are real!
ehhhhhh, the shotguns are real. The dragon's breath rounds are real. The effectiveness is not, but the visual effects are cool.
the rule is: if we don't see the body, then we can doubt that it's dead
Yep, he trapped himself by the rules. Both duelists have to take a shot before the next round. So he had to just stand there until John fires his third shot or dies from the blood loss.
Donnie Yen is so awesome in this movie
I love this movie so much that I’m actually gonna save your reaction to watch later just so I can rewatch the movie one more time lol
38:18 - It's even better than simply "in the rules". The moment the Marquis claimed the coup de grace and the pistol, and re-loaded, he pretty much doomed himself. By the laws of the duel, both guns must be fired each time before they close distance another ten paces and shoot again. The Marquis locked himself into the duel.
If he fired at John, he'd have broken duel law and would've been executed. The Marquis was not allowed to fire and I love to imagine that he realised this the moment Winston scoffed at him. If John had missed, he'd have gotten another bullet and him and the Marquis would've had to step another ten paces closer to each other and fire according to the rules. Would John have missed a second time?
As it stands his arrogance killed him well before the bullet did.
Staging his death is beyond pointless, he was absolved of any obligations, he was not bound to The Table anymore, nobody could touch him anymore. Also if staging his death works now, he should have done it when he first got out to marry Hellen.
True, but he still got enemy who revenge like santino family, the Russian etc
"Does he get hit by a car in every single movie?"
Nope. He gets hit by multiple cars in every single movie. ;)
You can see the "blind man" acting as IP Man, the person who taught Bruce Lee his kung fu.
Looking forward to this one!
John wick - He Grieved
John wick 2- He Raged
John wick 3- He bargained
John wick 4- He Accepted
Addie , great reaction
The suits Bill Skarsgård had on were incredible.
As were the locations he was always centered in....
4:41 He's literally taking his "sweet time" lol
5:52 Hideo Kojima lol
16:41 Hint to the end credit scene. But I think the end credit scene is a dream since everything is blurred accept for the two characters?
I watched this on IMAX. It looked great!
That opening shot of him hitting that board made everyone jump!
IMAX is the only way to throughly enjoy this masterpiece...
The way he blew out the match and it cuts to the desert was a nod to Lawrence of Arabia, and many directors, producers, and editors consider that the best transition in movie history.
Lawrence of Arabia inspired Stephen Spielberg, Ridley Scott, Martin Scorsese, and Denis Villeneuve, to name a few, to work in the film industry.
Watching with headphones is a treat.
John is alive, his death was staged. Pay attention to the reaction of the dog at the 'funeral'. Initially, a slightly different ending was filmed, but the authors felt that it destroyed the intrigue.
Hi Addie, I know you were wondering if John was still alive, I believe he is because at the end when they ask if he is in Heaven or Hell, it reminded me of a poem from the book The Scarlet Pimpernel, "They seek him here, They seek him there, Those Frenchies seek him everywhere, Is he is heaven? Or is he in hell? That dammed elusive pimpernel"
Anybody else here a fan of Cowboy Bebop? All I could think of during John slumping over on the steps was "You're gonna carry that weight."
RIP Lance Reddick/Charon. gone too soon 🌹
My mom's name was Adeline....sometimes called Addie.
Great reaction! I Luv the Charon character. He was always nice to JWs dog!... Fought side by side with JW and was good friends with Winston! Gona miss you Lance Reddick... RIP! 💐 Addie I hope there is a JW5 just so I can see your reaction to it!😊 There is some doubt JW is dead so let's hope he comes back in true babayaga form! Luv ya Addie ❤💛
I cried too. Repeatedly saying nope he's not dead 100 times I'm still in denial😂
Addie: *Sneezes* Bless me
Sounded like a southern accent there, Addie
Nobody's dog committed a war crime. Urinating on a dead enemy combatant is highly frowned upon.
Yes, they are making a fifth one. Plus there's THE BALLERINA coming out and THE CONTINENTAL is currently on Peacock.
Addie. I for one am not convinced that John is dead. Didn't appear to be a life threatening wound. But the grave will stop people from seeking him out any more. There are 2 spin-offs being talked about, and still the possibility of a wick 5 is not out of the question. The 2 spin-offs are tentatively called The Continental - which takes place in the 1970s and tells the story of Winston and how he came to rise to his position. The other is called the Ballerina telling of a ballerina/assassin whom appeared briefly in the Wick franchise. Another rumor is that when we see Winston put his hand on Johns headstone and say goodbye, the tattoo on his hand or wrist is the crest of John's "family" fueling speculation that Winston was John's father. I guess we all have something to look forward to.
Reply
If you wanna see how Winston took over The CONTINENTAL there's that series. As for Chapter 5. We have a long wait ahead.
Go back and watch the dog in the cemetery scene at the end. It's a big hint about the future.
John will raise from the grave as an actual Boogie Man in the 5th movie. ;)
John Wick will be back for chapter 5. can't wait to see your reaction to it.
Ballerina is a spin off of the John wick universe. Keanu Reeves will reprise his role as John wick in it. (the movie takes place before the 4th movie) there is also the spin off series, "the Continental".
I was personally bored out of my mind with John Wick 3, but I got really invested in John Wick 4; I really liked this movie! :)👍🏻
Remember John's tattoo's They mean something. See the movie, Eastern Promises. That movie was about the Russian mafia. There's videos about what those tattoos mean.
Addie's face in the thumbnail 😆#proudADDIEaddict #AddiemakesCZcamsbetter 💯
The peace in death, John only had in life with Helen. I don't know where chapter 5 could go after this great ending!
'This is so cool, seeing it from above.' Yes, and #MinorityReport flashbacks.
32:40 dragons breath ammo are pretty cool and scary
The studio has greenlit a 5th movie, but they have no script in place. The director and Keanu have said that if they can come up with a great script, he will return.
I kind of hope there isn't a 5th one and we just get spinoffs set in different time periods within this universe.
There is a spinoff coming out called ballerina set between movie 3 and 4
"John. Loving Husband...And dog dad."
This movie is awesome
Much of this movie was inspired by the movie the Warriors which is a good movie to add to your list.
For me, John is 100% dead. He took so much abuse in this film. He got run over by so many cars, he got beaten down so many times, he fell down some real bad stairs, he fell out of a high window, and he took over 100 shots to the body (despite wearing body armor, a bullet still hits hard enough to for example break a rib), and he got shot 3 times, and instead of being rushed to the hospital, he sat down and waited. The man is bleeding from inside and outside, his job is done, his wife is waiting for him in the afterlife, and he needs his rest.
The only good thing about the Marquis was his fashion sense. Great reaction~.
Word is they are still just talking about a 5th movie. A series called THE CONINNENTAL that looks like it's about a younger Winnston in the 70s. And maybe a film about a ballerina assassin from the second film.
The blind guy, also the blind guy from _Rogue: One_ ?
Yes
Addie, my wife has the same shirt, she said hi!
Dragonsbreath ammo. Good against goons, great against vampires. Bad for the shotgun, though.
"I am Klaus!"
So many call backs, my personal favorite is the warriors.
There supposedly is a JW 5 in development but as of yet no release date. Maybe sometime in 2025. There is a "spinoff" TV show called the Continental that is supposed to be out this month on Pescock. Still a lot of speculation around all of it.😅
Wooho! i see no ring on Addies finger! time to go for it!. Only have to travel from Sweden to the US.
She's a redhead, AND she's Southern. You are indeed brave. I wish you luck!
hey, Addie. i'm with you. i also thought this series would not turn out like it did. in the beginning i thought it would be an antihero movie with the audience kinda feeling bad for the main characters' circumstances. but you start to root for him - more and more after every setback. i would say that the entire series is an underdog story, but then - he's, john wick. the only underdogs are whomever screwed him over this time.
I don’t think John really tried to stay out of it. he never really looked for any other avenues besides revenge. And when vigo called maybe settling it peacefully than look for more ways to grieve his wife’s death he stared a war with the Russians
There is a Continental series coming up, so there are more stories to tell in this world.
a 5th one isn't necessary imo, this story wrapped up perfectly
As did Indiana Jones in the Last Crusade, yet they still went on to make more. They never know when to stop
Hey Addie. Great reaction.
Touch of nostalgia. John Wick 4 pays homage to the movie "The Warriors(1979). A teenage gang fighting to get back home, with every gang in New York after them. Just as in John Wick ,the late Lynn Thigpen plays the lady on the radio playing No Where to Run To, as the Warriors are being chased, right down to showing only her lips and teeth, as she gives an account of their journey home. Watching John Wick 4, I smiled and thought nice touch, much respect. If you or your patrons haven't seen it, please check out The Warriors. Great action movie. 👍👍👏👏
24:56 Bless you Addie (2)
Yes more are in the works and john wick isn't dead just the name is
Drift shooting nice😅😅😅😅😅
You should see the other side of him in “A Walk in the Clouds”👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤔🤠🇺🇸
