- The Berettta 92XI Squalo is the new gun optimized for Limited Optics in USPSA or could potentially work in Carry Optics in IDPA.

1) join mug club, talk to the boys we will get you in (or Kim she is okay to deal with). 2) I am rather sure that a Squalo is the result of the interaction between a Chinese spy and Eric Swalwell, or at least what the Chinese spy does- rather than spits.
I'm looking forward to the compact version. The Baby Squalo doo doo doo-doo doo-doo
Masterfully done sir
Oof you don’t deserve the chuckle I did, I am ashamed
That was epic dadness
oh no 😂😂 well done sir well done😂
😂😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻
I can confirm that the magwell fits the IDPA box.
I have the original 92XI. The one that many reviewers crapped down for a sharp safety but praised the 92X Performance with the same safety. 🤣 I love these. I've never pinched myself or any of the problems many have have had. Maybe racking from the front, but you just know not to rack from the front with 92s. I like that Squalo though with the gas pedal takedown lever and the funky G10 grips.
Agreed on the cool name over letters and numbers. My custom 2011 model name is the Vampire and that alone is worth half of the price tag
I’m excited for the 92GTS
Nice! Might just be my next purchase! Thank You!
I've had a thing for Beretta 92s since the early '80's, when the 92SB was the sidearm of the ,IIRC, South Carolina State Police...
Must add one of these to the collection !!
South Carolina State Police don’t exist. They are called the Highway Patrol
You NEED to check out the new swampfox Justice II. Just started running one and very impressed. Seriously Mr Humble Marksman it should go on your short list for optics to test for HD or Comp.
The introduction of the new safety type actually really changes the game for me personally. I really wanted the 92FS several years ago purchasing my first firearm but just shot the DA/DA p226 better so I objectively went with that (don’t regret it at all) and since having acquired more arms since then and seeing the new safety type, I must say this one is now on my list again
Cool looking! I doubt I will ever buy one but I still like it!
the mag release is AWESOME for smaller hands. You can hit it without changing grip. wonderful.
I love my 92x performance. It's hands-down, the most handsome pistol that I own.
That makes me want to get a Bar-Sto ported 9mm barrel for some more fun time at the range.
It would be neat to see you do a comparison between one of the modern higher end Beretta's like this against one of Girsan's modern 92 clone offerings.
I can confirm that the MBX Extreme Ultra Max spring/follower will allow you to get 24 rounds in the mag with the Toni System base pads. The Canik/Beretta Henning base pads will not work with the Toni System magwell. The shark-gray color of the gun and the Squalo grips look good together. The Squalo stock grips feel great. However, the LOK grips 92Xi Veloce Wraparound grips feel and look even better. The LOK 92Xi Veloce Wraparound also helps with the long mag release digging into the fatty part of your palm. There is no relief cut for the extended mag button. That space is filled when using the LOK grips and it minimizes the empty space from the grip to the mag release.
How would you compare it to the LTT? I have one of those and really like the 92’s is it worth it? Thank you for your reviews sir!
My 92xi is my favorite handgun. Some polishing, an LTT trigger bar, and Beretta match hammer make the trigger unbelievably light and short.
I was looking at the trigger job in a bag. Do you just recommend the LTT bar and match hammer instead? I have the squalo, not sure if the trigger set up is different.
@@drakepesek1071 How familiar are you with the 92 platform? The match hammer will shorten takeup in single action and the trigger bar will reduce reset and overtravel. The TJIAB from Langdon includes springs and polished parts that smooth and lighten the trigger pull. I think the trigger job in the bag has the option of including the match hammer and their trigger bar though so that's what I'd get if you want the best trigger possible without sending your gun to Langdon. The Squalo is the same internally, just cosmetic differences.
An LTT Squalo is going to soon be evaluated to see if it will replace my Canik Rival -S! I'm very excited
Is there a reason you're moving on from the Canik, or is it just another step in the forever unending search?
@@stevem4783 I have had a few issues with my Rival -S that I didn't have with any of my other Canik pistols
Would love a head to head of this and the p226 x five legion
@theHumbleMarksman
Would you say that you like shooting this more than the CZ Shadow 2 for competition?
Same question???
It's a beautiful gun. I have my eye on it. At a pawn shop, I normally buy. if he puts it on sale, I'm getting it.
My favorite pistol
Geezuhz! Can we get the standard backstrap back already? Maybe a better, modular option? Would like one, but, not a fan of the Vertec frame.
If they make a compact, I might be interested.
I'd like to see Sig and S&W bring back some of the 80s wondernine designs. CZ needs to some out with a TS3.
It would be nice to know if it goes in to the IPSC box.
Sweet! Beretta
They should bring back the 92fs compact to compete, like sig is offering p229 the compact version p226.
Did you find the grip texture rough on your palm?
Hey chief Brody! If you see a shark... squalo!
That's a pretty good price for a pretty Beretta!
What do you call a small pepper in the fall? A little chili.
Nice to see someone using the zulisy oak plus red dot. Running one on my shadow systems dr920p. 2k rounds down and no issues yet
Nothing more reassuring that having to look out for failures at 2k lol
Seems good for competition
@@nfaisnfgay well for the simple fact that optic is under $100. I’ve been looking for failures since I got it lol
@@tizben it’s got a big window. Gotta knock it because of bottom load battery other than that, so far so good.
The mag release is actually adjustable. You can change the angle of it to better fit your hands.
The adjustment that would fit my hands would be removing it entirely.
Squalidae is the genus of most sharks
Does this pistol have a longer grip vs other 92s or the performance 92? I held one before and the grip felt short where I couldn't get my hand on it all the way. There wasn't any undercut on the trigger and my middle finger wasn't comfortable.
can u do cz shadow 2, pdp sf match vs this squalo never get a hang of 92 even 92xp😢
This gun or a Springfield Prodigy? Does anything else shine at about $1200, that has a steel-ish frame and a competition ready setup? I'm kinda of set on the Prodigy but still wanna know my options. I held this gun today and it felt great in the hand, similar to a Prodigy in weight and build.
Ever shoot a CZC A-01 LD?
What's that giant optic you've got on it?
I love the non-plug for gunmag…… but the satire is actually truth. I’ve built 10 different shopping carts and lost my train of thought shopping 😊
My M9 in Iraq operated great
Does that safety digging into your riding thumb? Alot of review mention this
I didn't have any issues with safeties but we all grip pistols a little differently. This is the second Beretta pistol I've shot with manual safeties - neither bother me.
My plain jane 92x has an insane trigger in SA. I thought about trading for a 92XI, but I don't see what I'd gain other than losing the dumb decocker/safety.
Just swap your hammer spring in your 92x to the shorter one the xi has and you will be at about the same trigger weight as this gun. And they are only about $4-6
Told my wife whats better than 1 squalo…. 2 Squalo’s 44 bullets on pull 💥🔥🔥
Is it just me or is that red dot absolutely massive looking?
Beretta is dumb when it comes to optics. Dlah has a plate system from the 92 that sinks it considerably. LTT has the thinnest system but requires a bunch of proprietary parts and is significantly more expensive.
Yeah it's just the shit Beretta plate making it look huge, but it does seem bigger than the average open emitter nonetheless
David, sharks don't have scales silly boy!! Great review though, even if sharks don't have scales!! Have a good week Brother & shoot on!!
Shark skin is comprised of a multitude of very fine small directional scales.
What red dot system is on the gun? I can’t tell. The window is huge!
Zulisy Oak+
I sometimes like to Squalow
My Baretta 96 runs a tapered double stack
( Like every doublestack)
Is the huge funnel on the grip just a tac-tard attachment to make it look cool ?
Its functional and for competitive shooters so they have a wider margin of error on speed loads
Uspsa should allow modest rackers in LO. It's safer to manipulate with a racker.
They are allowed in LO
Even the clapped out 92s that were never serviced that I was issued, I loved. They shot better and more reliably than our brand new, out of the box Sigs, anyway.
when’s the p226 x5 legion video coming out
Sig is uninterested in sending one apparently and I am uninterested in spending $2500 to produce that video
@@TheHumbleMarksman ah i see, just picked mine up and you always review the new sigs so i was wondering
@@gabesuriel407 don’t get me wrong I would love to but their classic series of pistols they are more stingy with. In an election year I am safeguarding my ammo supply so there isn’t interruption later on this year so not in a cash position to buy expensive guns
Putting a zulisy on this beautiful Italian work of art is downright criminal
That's a hot gat
Love the 22 round base pads. I will say, I love most Beretta pistols, so I came in here biased. The Nano and Pico are the only pistols by Beretta that truly were garbage.
how was that $90 red dot?
I mean it worked well enough - glass is not great emitter isn’t amazing but it cost less than everything else - which was the point I guess
How do you like the Zulisy Oak Plus optic? I have been shooting it on my 5" Walther PDP carry optic USPSA pistol and it has been 100% reliable.
That's my first experience with it - it's OK so far.
👍
If you could only have one. Shark vs Platypus?
Squalo is an Italian shark! 😂 and a Beretta shark 🦈 there is also an Italian watch called a Squale , apparently they have a fascination with sharks 😂
In Italian "squalo" does not mean a particular italian shark specie, it just generically means "shark".
And, no, we are not expecially facinated with sharks.
@@nicolaalberti7736some one is wearing their serious pants today
@@nicolaalberti7736 it’s a joke ! I am Italian as well , Padovese!
@@22Phanatic
Hi from Milan !!
I am here for the Dad jokes.
Thought it was a projectile stuck in the barrel.
Going to allow myself one pistol for my initial inventory when I open my store and it will be that. Also getting a Jarvis 2 port comp for it.
This is a need more than a want although those who know me will most likely disagree.
_He got his chocolate in my peanut butter!_
_No, he got his peanut butter on my chocolate!_
*Might work for Reese's Cups, but I'll take my 92 as a 92, and my 1911 as a 1911.*
Dame these new Beretta looks so sexy and are amazing shooters! 🔥🔥🔥
Man the OEM optic mount beretta uses is so hideous…
Once you go Langdon you can never go back truly
🇺🇸
Dude, what optic is that?
My car front window broke.
Zilusy Oak Plus cheaper side, huge window. Had to return two on Amazon. Drift issues for me
Italian for Shark
Hello Mr. Marksman. I have a brother same like you. He is completely your carbon copy. If you both will stand togather, no one will recognise you. Please let me to meet him with you.😊
Italian Berettas > Gallatin, TN Berettas.
A skeleton walks into a bar and says, 'Hey, bartender. I'll have one beer and a mop.' 😂
For 1300 thats a no for me dawg!
That's fairly cheap.
@@lucastonoli3256 shadow 2 better
I speak third best Italian
Ne sei assolutamente sicuro 😁?
Bore axis looks to be too high compared to a Glock.
Yes - obviously - 92s have the highest bore axis of guns I am aware of - mitigated some by slide design and action type
Bore axis does matter in comparison the Beretta kicking the glock's ass in almost every factor
Visto che parli Italiano non avrai problemi a rispondermi😂
Forza Ferrari?
Per me, di Beretta, solo caldaie e salumi 😂.
Can't SQUALO that.
Some Dad science for us all. A shark doesn’t have any scales, so how do you say that in Italian? The pistol should be called “stupido”.
"Shark skin is covered by tiny flat V-shaped scales, called dermal denticles, that are more like teeth than fish scales. These denticles decrease drag and turbulence, allowing the shark to swim faster and more quietly."
@@sociopathmercenary I learn something new - I always though that they had "skin teeth", but I guess that can be considered scales.
Sharks don’t have scales
I have also a channel of guns related on CZcams
So someone named a gun an orca or hat would be cool stuff.
Orcas eat squalos. Well, they use their teeth to carefully remove the part they want then toss out the rest of it.
👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯🔫🔫☕️☕️
Shark scales? 🤔 Sharks ain’t got scales bruv
What's the difference between fish and meat? If you beat your fish it dies!
The M9A4 is better
Eh I don’t know about that. I think the 92GTS will be the new gold standard
I'd gladly trade my A4 for one of these SAO 92s lol
comment here
Weak conclusion my friend.
Comical optic mount, pass.
Don’t get the Beretta plates. Use DLah plates, much thinner
Agreed. LTT RDO all the way.
An overpriced gun from the 80s
It’s an Italian gun that will be made and if it sells quickly, will not be made and then 60 will be made in 11 years and then not made for a decade and then made in small enough quantities that 3 dealers will have one then it will be discontinued. Sorry lol my Beretta rant for the most unimaginably senseless production philosophy ever.m from a company that has sold guns for over 500 years. Love them but can’t figure them out.
