    Alot of you say these guys are really good, but as a musician, i can tell these guys are REALLY FUCKING GOOD! The guy on the baritone saxaphone is fucking phenomanal. Playing really high notes on a normally bass instrument is really difficult and only easy if you practice alot. The trumpet player is also really good and fast paced, and the drumber is very very good as well.

      +Atheon, Time's Conflux it was a fair thought, brass players have harder of a time hitting high Notes, reed players have a hard time playing lower notes because the reed vibrates more for lower notes making it hard to tune and intonate( this may only apply to saxophone, haven't played clarinet in a long time)

      @@Bassassinator I played baritone for the high school swing band and for the admiral's band in Coast Guard. Ever try to high port 30 lb's of brass around the quad because some damned flute player screwed up?
      This guy's octave jumps to harmonics and growling tone and complete control and mastery of the instrument is unlike any I've seen. I could do most things with a saxophone but this guy is amazing.
      I also went to electronics school on Governor's Island when it was a TRACEN for the Coast Guard. I've been to exact location of this and used to drag a B flat soprano around with me. One night I played the blues with a clarinet and banjo player busking outside of a bar in Greenwich Village. It was MUCH fun.
      New York City - bad place to send 19-year-olds for electronics training (I did pass but barely) but man am I glad they did. They've since closed the base and relocated the schools there, though. I had too much fun.

      I only played Bari my senior year because a ton of our low brass section graduated and myself and Jodi Pichoff on the Tuba had to basically carry the bass section! I was the only woodwind with the strength and wind power to get through a half-time show and all four quarters. I had some lungs.

    I play trumpet, but jeez I'm garbage to the trumpet dude. The King of Sludge keeps everything alive, never misses a beat, and god, the baritone saxophone guys gives the best bass line while also keeping an amazing melody in his soli with the King of Sludge. Wow. I'm amazed. Also that baritone saxophone has the best range.

    • @Luke-lw9dg
      @Luke-lw9dg Před 5 lety

      Inspiration _ range is easy on Bari, I’m completely trash (been playing for 6 months, most of that with a broken piece of crap Bari, and 3 years of clarinet before that) and I can bottom out at its low A fine and get all the way up as high as you can go before Altissimo notes at an F sharp an octave above the staff

    • @aidan4473
      @aidan4473 Před 5 lety

      I cannot overtone in the bari but I am mainly a tenor player so that’s why(also I use a plastic Reed, which may explain my dry sound)

    The baritone sax is also a suprisingly amazing player, the baritone is very hard to play compared to alto and tenor and he plays the harder range on the baritone too. Im very impressed.

    being a saxophone player that type of jumping a round while playing is very impressive along the tricks he does with making the Bari squeal and almost quaver is amazing all that combined takes a lot of hard work and practice

  • @paulocarvalho6480

    Probably not the best place to play a trumpet and a baritone sax. because it can be very loud, but by all the gods, what a performance. And the man on the drum? Perfect time keeping, just perfect. Awesome video deserving a lot more views.
