INGREDIENTS
6 to 8 slices of white bread (or brioche)
3 large eggs
3/4 cup of milk or heavy cream
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
cooking oil for griddle

I have been craving French Toast for a couple weeks now, I decided to go on CZcams and watch a few people make it, I watched several people and I have to say, yours looks so much better than the other videos. I am going to make it tomorrow morning for my breakfast, I love people like you who come on here and show the rest of us non-cooking folk how it's done. Without people like you, I would be eating at McDonald's all the time. Thank you for taking time out of your day to make these videos.

Try oikos vanilla Greek yogurt. I know it sounds weird but the taste is phenomenal! When you mix it will look curdled at first but continue to whisk and it will look like a custard. Dip and cook as usual.
You use the yogurt instead of the milk? I have some thats gonna expire soon so i might as well put it to use..lol
French toast is my FAVORITE breakfast, with a whole lot of syrup 😋

I love that you keep it real on your channel, with the doorbell delivery interrupting your cooking. We love french toast.i make a whole loaf at a time,I like Texas toast,but I do it with regular sliced also,like whole wheat,or multi grain.i cool it and put two to three pieces in quart freezer bags,then I put all the bags in a gallon bag,we reheat it in the toaster,and it comes out crispy,as if fresh off the griddle.love your recipe 😋 hv a great day 💙🧡💚💜💛💚💜🤗🤗

I made some cinnamon raisin swirl bread a couple weeks ago, ended up having to put it in the freezer, I'm going to turn it into some French Toast this weekend. I'm thinking maybe cream cheese stuffed.

French toasts seem so simple yet they need so much love to make.
I've been trying new recipes for waffles and pancakes. Happy with all. I made pancakes with Greek yogurt and they are excellent. Moist and fluffy. Try them. I used low fat vanilla Greek yogurt but the recipe calls for full fat or whole milk yogurt. It didn't specify plain or vanilla. I don't think it matters as I always put vanilla in my pancakes. I just made a batch of waffles so I may do French toast next week. Thanks.

Hi Angelica 👋 I am of Mexican decent and I love French toast following a very similar recipe. My family loves it 👍 I like a custard like texture so I use more eggs including egg yokes. I also use butter in the pan with the cooking oil. 🥰

Yummy!! For some reason any time in the past that I've tried making toast they have not ever come out good. Lol. French toast is one breakfast favs. I guess I will attempt to try my French toast battle once again and hope that following your recipe did the trick! Although as of this moment I am following a diet (keto) and unfortunately I will not be able to have any French Toast any time soon but thank you for sharing this recipe with us.
I have that same bowl and recipe for French toast but I do use butter in my cast iron. Too cool though because I’m making some today with challah bread! 😋

Yummm! Luv French toast. I would recommend using clarified butter, or as the Indians call it Ghee. Its butter with out the 20% water and carbs which burns easily.
I prefer french toast over pancakes any day!😊 ..good recipe once again👍

This is so good, especially with the hot buttered syrup. Well, more like warm in my case - hehe. So, so good. I was going to leave my mom two slices, but the syrup on the French toast is so good, took a slice. Sorry, mom. Next time! Had given my neighbor a few slices; hadn't made the syrup at that point. Anyway, so yummy!

Funny about the home delivery interrupting you. *Top recipe*. When camping at breakfast time, I usually treat my grandchildren to a full egg in a thick bread, toasted and baking in a pan from the last night's campfire. I will convert to your recipe. All 5 love my breakfasts, so now from three Granddaughters, I should get double kisses. From my 2 Grandson's I need "mansy" hugs and a thumbs up.
Instead of syroup I make homemade whipped cream I stir in some chocolate syroup and put on top of the french toast, my kids love it.
Now next level: Add shaved ham and turkey, make a sandwich, cover with Swiss cheese slices, bake at 375º for ten minutes, serve with warm maple syrup....Monte Cristo...delicious
Try using toasted brioche in your egg mix, soak about 7 secs on each side and grill. This prevents the soggy bread texture and gives the bread and nice buttery flavor!
Suggestion: try using both oil and butter...you get the taste of butter and the oil raises the butter's burning temperature.
