Unfortunately the three classic "real" Vice episodes are missing: "Death and the lady", "Evan" and "Shadow in the dark". All other episodes have unforgettable world famous moments in TV history but these 3 episodes are perfect from the first to the last minute. For me, the most important sentence of all time comes from Guzman in "Evan", when he said: "What is this country goin´ to when you even can´t trust the police to be honest !" Greetings from Berlin, Germany.

Are you kidding me? I've never found fans of Death and the lady like me. Especially a season 4 episode. I think that episode is just brilliant. 👍
@@redsabreanakin The writing was excellent, every character was on the money and the one thing I know what was awsome was Jan Hammer's score for this episode. Dark and very moody. The man had class (from 976-CREOLEMAN)!
For me, the best top 5 are: #1 Smugglers' Blues, #2 Definitely Miami, #3 Shadow in the Dark, #4 Evan, #5 Prodigal Son. And honorable mentions: Heart of Darkness, Milk Run, Bought and Paid For (because I like El DeBarge music and Lamborghini Countach).

Own the entire series on blu ray and DVD. Nice rankings, but I'd put Definitely Miami at the top, and Phil the Shil in the list for best as well. Miami Vice, best show ever created!

Honestly even the 5 "worst" episodes of Miami Vice weren't horrible in my opinion. It was just a great show all throughout.
Miracle Man, Leap of Faith and Missing Hours are pretty horrible. Leap of Faith is barely a Vice episode. The Cows of October is pretty fun though. Free Verse shouldn't even be on the worst list.

Miracle Man, Missing Hours, Viking and The Big Thaw were not very good although not horrible (except Trudy looked so hot in that blue dress!!). One episode though that is unwatchable is Jack of All Trades in Season 5.

Miami Vice is one of my favorite tv shows ever! I love the whole team, the city of Miami, the 1980s and crime detective shows. Nearly 40 years after its premiere the shows still stands the test of time and is iconic. I actually like "Free Verse" but all the other episodes you mention as the worst are pretty terrible episodes. I love al those episodes you mention as the top five best. My top five best are Brother's Keeper/Pilot, Calderone Returns Part 1 and 2. Milk Run, the Maze and Sons and Lovers. Some honorable mentions are Heart of Darkness, Glades, the Great McCarthy, the Home Invanders, Evan and the Prodigal Son.
"Little Miss Dangerous" is easily one of the best.....the plot, twists, acting and music!

I agree. Season 2 has majority of the best episodes. No Exit from Season 1 with Bruce Willis is great aswell.

Great show! My tan husband went as Crocket to our 10 yr reunion in 1986 in SoCal. He pulled it off. We've been vacationing in FLA ever since!

I'm surprised Evan wasn't on the best list and Cow's of October wasn't on my the worst list, but your #5 best said The Prodigal Son and the.clip was from Yankee Dollar.

Couldn't really argue with the 5 worst list although I would have put in Season 4's The Cows of October. For the best I would add Season 2's Payback, One Way Ticket, Sons and Lovers along with Season 1's Milk Run and Smugglers Blues in the Top 5 best. By the Brothers Keeper (aka Pilot) is episode 1 of Season 1 not episode 2 and Heart of Darkness is the real episode 2 of Season 1 not Episode 3. Essentially most of the dud episodes appeared in Season 4 & 5, as there were very few occasional stinkers in the earlier seasons.
The funny thing is that while Heart of Darkness is the 2nd episode, some fans deem it as the 3rd episode since they tend to count the pilot as 2 episodes (since the syndicated versions of the show often split up the 2 hour episodes such as Brother's Keeper, The Prodigal Son and Freefall)
Milk Run is one of my top five fave episodes too!
for worst of all has to be Jack of All Trades. Viking Bikers was a rare stinker from Season 3, and Buddies from Season 2 was also pretty lame.
@@viceandeasypodcast Loved Milk Run. I'm trying to recall the episode with Pam Grier as guest star looking for her sister that gets hooked on drugs. The episodes with Pam Grier were good. Also any with Phil Collins.

The top 5 that was stated to be one of the best was 'Prodical Son' which was shown was ' Yankee Dollar'
Yankee Dollar is better anyway. Ned Eisenberg as Glide is incredibly good also his character lives in the same house as Frank Lopez/Robert Loggia in Scarface.

Loved this show, but Vice jumped the shark with "Missing Hours" and "The Cows of October."
Among my favorites are "The Maze", "Red Tape", "Knock, Knock...Who's There?", "Smuggler's Blues" and "Little Miss Dangerous". "The Afternoon Plane" was a great "solo" Tubbs episode.
Best: Bad Timing, Child’s Play, Death and the Lady, Evan, and Shadow in the Dark.
Death and the Lady and Forgive Us Our Debts def. the two best episodes of Miami Vice.
Right at the beginning you have a flaw this episode is Yankee Dollar where Ned Eissenberg plays the character Charlie Glide episode Prodigal Son is a pilot film for the second season where Sonny and Rico went undercover to NEW YORK

Missing Hours was my last episode of Vice; after that, I simply couldn't watch it anymore.
My personal worst is "A Bullet for Crockett" and my favorite is "Fruit of the Poison Tree."
A Bullet for Crockett is basically a montage of the whole series to that point with a few scenes.

For the top 5 Definitely Miami would be #1 for me, and I would put Little Miss Dangerous in the top 5. While Out Where the Buses Don't Run is a good episode overall, I found Hank to be by far the most annoying character. I know I'm in the minority, but I have always hated that over the top type character.
I miss this show. Never will be another one.

Miracle Man? That story was a simple tragedy and they told it well despite the limited budget. Same with Free Verse.

The first two seasons of Miami Vice were gold. Show went down hill final 3 years

‘Vikings’ was awful, definitely the worst by a long way imo. Agree with the top 5, no.1 for me would be ‘Out where the buses don’t run’ or ‘Stone’s War’. Great list.

Personally I would replace "Definitely Miami" with "Shadow in the Dark", other than that seems ok.

Even tough season' s 4 and 5 had some good moment' s, i personaly think It was the lowest point of the series.

Free verse is not among the worst episodes. One has to weigh in production design, music, casting everything. The 4th season...the episodes started dropping in quality and by the fifth it was unfortunately not as good as it used to be.
But the first three seasons were very good. Great actors in them too.
For me Payback in 2 season was great episode.
Free Verse to me is not one of the top 5 worse. Neither is Viking Bikers. Missing Hours is very terrible and most agree with that

Miami vice i adore my absolute favorite tv series amazing time fast cars beautiful women amazing atmospheric music by Jan Hammer and many other musical gems makes with this great show an icon who will forever remain thanks to great times and also daytona basically corvette c3 or Tesstarosa and Sonny's style of dress and overall appearance and sound Bren These are the things for which this series is worth watching and having liked the glory of MV and everything with it United 😎💯🌴
My favourite episodes are "Definitely Miami", "Stone's War", "The Good Collar", "The Maze" and "The Great McCarthy".
I liked the fashion in the early episodes but later in a 1 or 2 episodes Crockett's and Tubb's style went a bit strange. But overall the suits were cool and inspiring even today.

No Evan? That was the one that got all the Emmy nods. And Made for Each Other was ao popular NBC kept doing encore showings. Can't complain about Buses as #1 though.

What was the one in the glades when Crockett tells the guy using a kid as a human shield mabey you won't even flinch then boom
The stuntman that went over the side (@6:00) of the cargo ship obviously hit his head for real. I think that was not scripted. Any background info on that. I think that the scene after that of Crocket getting out of the water with blood on the collar of his jacket might've been a last-minute rewrite because of that, and maybe the stunt double got a real scalp-scar because of it, so they took advantage of that and wrote it into the script after the fact. (Plus, his head & face looked more like Tubbs than Crocket!) Am I wrong about anything?

I agree that "Missing Hours" and "The Big Thaw" were horrible. But The "Cows of November" episode was waay worse than Viking Bikers. Overall great show first 2ish seasons anyway.

To me, there wasnt really a bad episode. But to think of good vcs bad, I would have to think of the first season or 2, really good while the later seasons were not the best.
