Boyesen Supercooler Install & Testing! (2018 CRF450R)

- What's going on y'all?! I am currently on day 3 recovering from my 3rd ACL replacement surgery and the plan now is to upload as many videos as I can over the next few weeks while I can't work! I recorded so many videos this summer but I still need to edit them, starting with this one filmed back in March.
In this video we install the Boyesen Supercooler kit for my 2018 CRF450R along with new radiators from Ebay made by SCR. We also test the original cooling system and compare the temperatures with the mods later at the end of the video. See for yourself if it works or not and if it's worth the price tag!

I have an 06 LTR 450 that I’m completely restoring. It’s already still in mint condition I’m just changing out a lot of stuff for all brand new bolt on parts. Tires, Blue HMF exhaust and header HMF map key, need bars all the way around, new chains and sprocket (37 rear), itp hole shots x 4, LED lights, and Valve adjustments. I wish I knew how to reach you to show you before and after. It’s going to be crazy 🤟🏽

Man I got a question, I’m just trying to replace the seals for the water pump on a 2022 crf450r. I can’t get the impeller off, all the videos I’ve watched they’ve either had a shaft on the inside of the cover to get a wrench on or taken it off with the cover still on the engine but my gears just spin if I try and take it off. Wtf do I do

Thats probably optimum running temp which it will want to get to asap anyway. So now take the bikes to a track or highway and rag them and it should cope better id expect
If the bikes needed more cooling wouldnr the factories design the bikes like that?

My inner engineer is telling me that the benefit of the boyesen supercooler is that your radiator is running cooler. Both engines would seem to be at operating temperature. I would wager that if put under equal stress that your friends bike would go outside of normal operating temperature first due to the higher radiator temps. Maybe someone else has professional insight on this?
u dont even need that dang dowel, u must not work on things, or work around good welders, cause them radiator welds SUCK!! come on guy. but its ur bike so good job brother

Have you had any black residue come out of your weep hole? I replaced mechanical water pump seal, oil seal, bearing and shaft and still getting this jet black residue out of the weep hole on my 17’

to get the dowels out just stick the smoth end of a tight drill in the dowel and grab the outside of the dowel and pull it out.
I used a Allen wrench before buy dam!!! THAT IS THE BEST TIP I HAVE HEARD IN AWHILE!!! THANK YOU SIR!!! 🙌🙌
