Hi Leah, How did you know that you had to multiply in the example you gave resulting in 0.5 moles of Cl-?

because Molarity=moles divided by Liters. if you manipulate the equation, you'll know that moles is equal to molarity times liters. hope that helps!

Is it better to round all the decimal numbers UP to the nearest whole or rounding all the decimal numbers DOWN to the nearest whole or rounding each individual decimal number with a mix off up or down to their nearest whole? In the end I want to use a rounding method that will in the end give me an answer closest to the actual answer.

This link does not work, I was on your site for like an hour trying to figure out how to sign up for the MCAT MATH and no matter what I tried it kept taking me to other links or organic chem study hall or what not. The site is quite a mess...you need to get your links linking to the right places..

They better start allowing, at the very least, a 4 function calclulator, or we will have a SERIOUS shortage of doctors and nurses in a few years. Kids, nowadays, use their calculators for everything, and doing math by hand is something foreign to them.
When I took one chemistry course in college, I had a fairly young teacher, 24 at time, for whom doing math by hand was foreign to her, as was handwritten homework.

While we are becoming and more and more dependent on calculators, what I teach in this series is simple enough to learn so that students will still ace their MCATs and learn to think on their feet
