    He's injured so you make him run crazy fast quarters. Good coaching!

      Get real....you dont know nature of injury.
      Calf can happen anytime
      400s are good

    Yes! Finally you show Waleed! Im in the same district as him so I've seen him run a lot. He is always incredible! He also runs under 15 minutes for the 5k which is insane.

    He is dealing with shin splints so you decide to put him through some very hard quarters at faster than mile pace... Gee I wonder why his calf is hurting.

      Cameron O'Brien depends on the rest, I’d like to see you post a video of 5 x 400 with 15 seconds off. Also I’d like to see your all out 400m recorded. It doesn’t have to be at a meet, it can be any day and I’ll account for it being unofficial and maybe even not on a good day.

    This coach doesn't seem to know shit about injury prevention. For an athlete of this caliber, you should have all the bases- shin massage, calf massage & stretching, ankle massage & rolling- covered in the training program before even attempting a workout like this. ESPECIALLY if he is already dealing with pain, and has had shin splints and this *same calf problem* before! These things are ALL preventable with proper preparation. Wtf is this wrong with this dude.

    This dude just ran a 3:56 and is leading the NCAA. HS coaches really can hold you back 🤧

    “He’s got so much natural speed we really don’t run a lot of stuff that’s that fast” What an idiot. Great way to lose speed is by not training it.

      @benanastasoff8980 Před 2 lety

      Exactly. The coach should know to play to his strengths and work on his weaknesses. Why he would coach the other way around is ridiculous

      James Wireman that's what happened to Cooper Teare when he ran 4:00 but then got destroyed by Callum Bolger & Luis Grijalva in the 3200 (the only event he chose to compete in) at State Championships.

    Sad to see this terrible coaching: running an already hurt athlete hard in front of cameras, in the rain, in heavy shoes. The kid is a huge talent, but a likely no-show at Brooks.

    sad to see.... one thing is the coach, but are people really that braindead? if your in pain, take some time off... do some aquajogging. better to underperform for months than years
