Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for this great tip! We never really though of the towel around the neck and we have been using it all day on cats who we know are a little more spicy! It made a huge difference for us and made all of us in the clinic feel more comfortable in our rooms! Thanks so much!

@@juliac3933 I would recommend. We use it on a lot of cats even ones who are not brachycephalic. We love using it on our aggressive cats it works wonders and with a little bit of calming spray it makes the most aggressive cats some of the easiest to work with.

@@allenclark5627 hi there, can you also use this technique on non-brachycephalic cats like tabbies? I’m just asking so I don’t accidentally hurt my kitties throats or anything while trimming their nails

I was a kennel girl in the late 70’s and cats were the worst. Our vet tech was amazing though and taught me how to restrain them by scruffing or we just wrapped them in thick blankets or towels. It was really hard on the cats though and just made them more angry. I really hated restraining them even though it was necessary. I’m glad there are better ways these days.
