    Rodgers is ridiculous. It constantly impresses and amazes me how he and the offensive group in Green Bay are able to do the things that they do. I have literally never seen anyone play the position better. He is by far, the most talented and skilled person to play that position.

    • @ErikSlaby
      @ErikSlaby Před 7 lety +4

      Ummm... Rodgers definitely does all of those and very well. If he didn't know where to throw the ball, he'd be throwing interceptions. Timing is between the quarterback and wide receivers so if receiver gets held up on a slant route, the ball has to already be out of the quarterback's hand before the receiver reaches the spot.
      The Packers run a variation of the West Coast offense, which is pretty much all timing routes but what Rodgers does differently than Brady and Peyton is that he would rather get the big play than take the 3 yard checkdown to the running back.

    • @ErikSlaby
      @ErikSlaby Před 7 lety +3

      When the plays that are being called and run have intermediate to long developing routes, Rodgers has to extend the play to give his receivers time. Rodgers is not a guy who will be checking down to the running back on every play, which is what would happen if he didn't extend plays in that offense. When offensive plays are called in the traditional West Coast offense style such as slant routes and out routes, more often than not, Rodgers make the reads and gets the ball out quickly. If Rodgers wasn't good at making pre snap reads he'd turn the ball over more, struggle in and out of the pocket and wouldn't even be in the league.
      The only reasons these things aren't shown as much by Rodgers compared to Brady and Peyton are because Green Bay runs a completely different variation of the West Coast offense than what New England or Indianapolis ran. Also because Rodgers is more athletic than Brady or Peyton, Green Bay knows that they can use more longer, developing routes because their quarterback is not a sitting duck in the pocket. The offense's the Peyton and Brady run require them to get the ball out quickly, especially if they don't have a good oline, because if they don't they will get sacked.

    • @ErikSlaby
      @ErikSlaby Před 7 lety +1

      He throws very often at the goal line because the Packers are not a good running team. They're a much better passing team than running team so they'd rather throw the ball near the goal line and score then not with a couple running plays. No quarterback has more 1-5 yard touchdown passes though than Peyton. His teams rarely ever ran the ball when they were on the goal line until late in his career.

      Wow. Favre was often asked why he made such hard throws. His answer was inevitably "because I could." Well, just because you could isn't the smart way to do it. What good is a hard throw if it isn't caught or part of a successful play. It is just ego then, and pointless if there is no good result. Clearly Rogers is more intelligent and far more talented.

      Agreed. There was a segment done on how many players, coaches and analysts have been asked if Aaron won more rings if it would make them think higher of him and most said no. The general consensus is that he has already proven what he needs to. Brady will go down as the luckiest of all time as far as having a stellar ran team all the way down and putting him in the SB so many times. He is a good QB. Not taking that away from Brady but Aaron Rodgers is a wizard.

      there's a big difference between hating and actually being realistic. You telling people to stop hating on Rodgers has shown two things to me: 1. You're stupid, because Brady gets so much more hate than Rodgers, and literally everyone knows that, 2. You're afraid to actually have an argument about who's the GOAT because you know deep down inside that you're wrong. Just speculation, but then again, I'm hardly ever wrong about those things

      @gianlucaromagnoli3734 Před 7 lety +1

      Genisis so you're always right srew you,it's my opinion.Deep down I know Rodgers doesn't need to have 5 rings to be considered the G.O.A.T.He makes plays that no one else does,when do you see Brady throwing a hail marry??Does he even have the arm strength?

    • @genisis5060
      @genisis5060 Před 7 lety +3

      oh shit! "srew me" I just got fucking srewed! What a terrible thing to happen to someone, sounds almost as bad as getting screwed! FYI, there's no such thing as a "hail marry" in football, marriages don't happen in the NFL. But all jokes aside, pretty hard to take you seriously here buddy with all these cancerous spelling errors, I don't really even think I need to respond, but I will anyway. To say that Rodgers makes plays that no one else does is bullshit, watch some videos/film of Dan Marino, he looks just like him. Yet, we don't see any talk about Dan Marino being the GOAT, do we? No, we don't. Same reason why no one that has any sort of football intelligence considers Rodgers the GOAT over Brady.

    People say you need rings to prove that you are great. Sure, those things make you great as well. It's an accomplishment. Nothing bad about that. I would love to see Rodgers have a few more. But I think the way you play and handle the ball is what also makes you so great. And looking at these videos, there's no doubt that Rodgers is one of the most talented and skillful qb out there. Nevertheless, I think there are many ways a player shows greatness. Whether if it's rings, style of playing the game, wins, ect.

    •  Před 4 lety +1

      Rings don't make a QB great or below average QBs like Trent Dilfer are great because their Ds carried them to Super Bowls. It is a team game, the only thing they bring is how they play and nobody plays better than Rodgers.

SUPPORTING CAST people. Rings do not define individual players. Records do not define players. • @jpdrum26

    Patsy fans always get butthurt when Rodgers receives due praise for his talents, and carrying Da Pack on his back. They're too busy riding Brady's jock and approach every QB debate with tunnel vision. They conveniently forget that Cassel and Garropolo alike have thrived in his absence while under the tutelage of Belicheck. The Pats are simply the best run organization in football, where players can step in at every position and become successful. The "Rings" argument is null and void in the ultimate team game, whereby one can argue that Bradshaw was better than Marino. Brady commands a timing-based offense, which enables his brain and arm to compensate for a lack of athletic ability. He's simply a hard-working system QB that overcame the odds after putting up crappy combine numbers.

    The only reason that Brady looks better than Rodgers sometimes is that Brady has a better team that is in the easier division. The NFC is way better than the AFC. The AFC only has the Pats and the Steelers. Look at the great teams in the NFC. If you swap out Brady and Rodgers, then Rodgers would have won every Super Bowl since 2010 easily.

    There is no disputing IMHO that Aaron Rogers is the best to ever play the QB position. The raw talent this cat has is unequaled. His ability to extend plays and buy time for his WRs to get open is just fascinating to watch. I like harrisons smiths accolade of Rodgers pulling off a unbelievable play saying YOU CAN ONLY COVER SOMEONE SO LONG. Take every QB stat out there and Rodgers is tops in all of them.Brady does'nt even come close to his completion ratio. Tds ' Or passer rating. Yeah ok brady has more rings. Put Aaron on those loaded up stacked with talent teams brady benefitted from and He'd have 10 rings. In the big picture rings dont make you the greatest' Rings are won as a team. Individual stats say it all. Brady couldnt be Aarons warerboy.The way he moves around breaking tackles and rolling out damn' if he wasnt the Greatest QB ever he'd be a champion prize fighter with that footwork. Cassius Clay has nothing on Rodgers.GOAT and if you dont like it you can fuck off and go worship your Tom Brady blow up doll.

    • @xmxh9596
      @xmxh9596 Před 4 lety

      and what QB stat is an individual stat other than lets say running? I mean there is some one on the other end of his jump balls that needs to make the play. Brady has accomplished more than any QB in history and is still going. I know one thing Rodgers will never be better at and that is being a team leader. The dude makes excuses and throws his team under the buss everytime they lose.

    A good QB, strong arm, lots of 'potential', however, not even the GOAT w/1 SB win. The key here is; "of all time". The GOAT will probably have at 4/5 rings ++. Favre/ Tarkenton/ Marino are his peers & at this time he still has to look up to Montana, Elway & Starr......... C'mon I've watched the Pack since Bart Starr days........ That's like say'in Gale Sayers is the GOAT...LOL.........

  • @itsmyleggz

    Everyone has an opinion about the QB GOAT. Only thing that counts are the numbers because they are not biased and no opinion is necessary. Career stats-it’s Rodgers-period.
    Rings mean nothing unless you are talking about franchise GOATs and not individual positions. If you looked at that way then Barry Sanders was the worst running back that ever put on cleats in the NFL.
