      Karl Denis Then who is the GOAT. Don't gimme some dude with the rings or career statistics. No QB in NFL history has been able to throw the ball better than this man. Dude has the best arm in NFL history as far as power and accuracy. Hell, he's got the best grip too. Heath hits him full speed from his blindside and he somehow holds onto the football. I ain't even a packers fan but i know for a fact that Rodgers is the GOAT

    • @karldenis215
      @karldenis215 Před 7 lety +2

      Menzy So you're basically saying to hell with rings and postseason appearances. Fuck Brady and all the shit he's done up till now because Aaron has big hands and can take a shot from Heath and not let go, he can dance in and out of the pocket and deliver the ball with pinpoint accuracy and he is mobile. He can do all this shit but why his ring count doesn't match up with his talent at the position? Brady is doing what Aaron Rodgers is having trouble doing and that's taking it all the way to the final game. Brady has been to the super bowl 6 fucking times compared to Rodgers 1 time. But i'll say this much, it's arguable that Rodgers might be the most *talented* at the position ever. Poise, mobility, accuracy, vision, arm strength basically everything. Plus Rodgers got the Stats but what good is all that if you have trouble making it to the Super Bowl? If he gets 2-3 more rings on his fingers then you can make a strong case. Brady has stats and super bowls but can't do all the flashy shit Rodgers do. Rodgers makes the position look easy but lacks super bowl appearances. Trust me, I love watching him play but stats will only take you so far.

    • @menzy3029
      @menzy3029 Před 7 lety +3

      Karl Denis I hope you know that one player can't carry a team to a Super Bowl. Brady is only great in that system. Brady has always been surrounded by a better team and he's been under the greatest coach of all time. Wins and rings are team efforts. Rodgers just destroyed one of the best defenses in the NFL even with his undermanned team and he just put up big numbers against a "super bowl caliber" team even more undermanned.

      I mean when we talk about the GOAT of any sport, dont we look at talent? We dont say Bill Russel is the best because he is good and has the most rings. Aaron Rodgers is the GOAT thats it. Not talent wise. Hes just the GOAT. The one time he actually had a top 10 defense he won the superbowl. Fuck the haters.

    I remember when Aaron Rodgers was on the bench when Brett Favre played. He always would have a tiny injury, like on his finger or wrist. When he was going to become quarterback full-time nobody thought it would work. Now, he is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

      @joseliriano8586 Před 7 lety

      Rhys Mack look at what other great's have done in their first 9 seasons and you won't be that amazed by aaron rodgers. He'll easily (and its not even close) go down as the most physically talented QB in history...but not most talented in general. I consider leadership skills, football IQ, chemistry with his receivers, and being clutch in critical moments as talent. And Aaron Rodger doesn't have any of those skills in an elite level.

    • @MrSmith-vr6ge
      @MrSmith-vr6ge Před 7 lety +1

      Bro I'm talking pure talent at his position. You telling me A-rod isn't elite QB you must be challenged don't forget Green Bays defense has been shit for the last 7 years since the super bowl win yet we made the playoffs all those years not only that but we set a franchise record back in 2011 going 15-1 and guess what the defense ranked DEAD LAST 32nd. I've been watching football for nearly 20 yrs now and you think others before Rodgers did what he does so consistently with no help from defense you don't know shit about football if you ask me Pocket presence throwing on the run left and right don't matter hes been doing since he started back in 08 so please give me a name of another QB that extends plays and throws darts off balance with his feet floating on field. I'll wait.

    • @joseliriano8586
      @joseliriano8586 Před 7 lety

      Like I said rodgers is the most physically talented QB of all time. But the packers defense hasn't been shit for 7 years. Also aaron rodgers does not have great pocket presence, i will go as far as to call it mediocre. he's great at running out of the pocket like russell wilson. but he has horrible inside the pocket movement..you don't know a thing about football if you can't see that, whenever he senses the smallest pressure in the pocket, he stops looking downfield and starts trying to figure out how he can run outside the pocket...which i don't have a huge problem with since he's so great outside the pocket, but just saying...he doesn't have the best inside the pocket presence at all. So rodgers is plenty physically talented...but when it comes to leadership skills, football IQ, chemistry with he receivers, always consistently coming up big in the last minutes...there are other QB's better than him in those skills. And don't get me wrong, rodgers is easily a top 5 QB in the league...but when we talk about elite...when was the last time rodgers had a consistently great season??? the answer is two seasons ago...thats not elite...you have to be good and be able to be a positive difference in your team at least 14 of the 16 games you play in a regular season to be called elite in my book, rodgers hasn't done that in the past 2 seasons.

      Matthew, The question was -- what can he do with a great defense? -- Answer - 2010 playoff run.
      Now, however, Rodgers has the Marino and Peyton Manning problem -- blah defense and no ring as a result.
      I guess you and your little 10-6 argument would rather have Peyton's 13-3 seasons with a one and done in the playoffs huh? Should we discount the Giants Playoff run of 2007 or 2011?
      How about trashing Kurt Warner while your at it. He took a 9-7 team in 2008 to the Freaking Superbowl on his back! Very little defense at all. It's the playoffs that really matter when defense is concerned. In backing up a great QB with a good defense, no matter what happens in the regular season, it's the result in the playoffs that ultimately matters.

      You should watch some Matthew Stafford highlights. I think he's just as good. Eight 4th qtr comebacks in 2016 alone. Fastest ever to 25,000 and 30,000 yards. One of only 3 QB's to Ever throw 5000 yds & 40 td's in a season... no rings, no playoff wins, but he plays for Detroit so you have to factor that in.

      Atlanta's defense: 24.8 ppg allowed, 5.6 yards/play allowed, .380 points/play allowed, 367.5 yards/game allowed, 6.5 yards/pass allowed, 263.5 passing yards/game allowed.
      Green Bay's defense: 25.1 ppg allowed, 6.0 yards/play allowed, .403 points/play allowed, 374.2 yards/game allowed, 7.6 yards/pass allowed, 278.2 passing yards/game allowed.
      Atlanta has defensive sacks leader Vic Beasley and two top 30 leading tacklers.
      Green Bay's secondary is almost entirely made up of third-string players or worse. In their four game slide, they gave up an average of 38 ppg - only one team they've faced made it to the playoffs.
      For every playoff loss Rodgers has had, his defense gave up an average of 36 ppg. Ever since Green Bay won the Superbowl, Rodgers broke the single season passer rating record, named NFL MVP twice, made six pro bowls, led in passer rating three times, led in touchdown passes once, etc. In his playoff history, the Packers went to overtime three times, only to have his defense flop each time. I can back this up from the 2015 NFC Championship game and the 2016 NFC Divisional Round.
      His defense is the problem. Case closed. You can't deny the fact that he should have a second ring by now.

    • @tyrone5534
      @tyrone5534 Před 7 lety

      HAHAHA wtf, where did you get those stats? I'm on the NFL website right now and all your stats are false. ATL PPG, total points against, YDS per game and per play ect are all higher than GB. Atl total defense is ranked 26 compared to GB 22nd. Keep making excuses. In the loss against Atlanta, the loss last year against Arizona, the loss to Sea the previous year, and the loss to the Giants the year they went 15-1, Rodgers was in the 50% completion range, with a shitty 3rd completion percentage. Hell even when they beat the bears to advance to the SB he had 0 TD and 2 INT, his defense was what won the game. Rodgers isn't very good in the post season, except it

      @tyrone5534 Před 7 lety

      @spritz19 Před 7 lety +1

      www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-points-per-game Here you go. This is where my "excuses" came from. You can compare them if you still think Ryan is the best QB in the league or whatever. (Where was the talk about him being the best last year?)
      First off, I'm only making a statement. I'm not here to whine and "make excuses" of how a player whom I respect should have twenty rings. I'm only making a statement and trying to voice my opinion. If you don't like it, then why bother replying?
      Rodgers' isn't good in the offseason? He is fourth in post-season passer rating, one of few quarterbacks to pass over 1k yards in one postseason, as well as having a few other playoff records. The 2010 NFC Chamionship? Yeah, that was when he had a defense. And in the divisional game against Ryan's Falcons, Rodgers was nearly perfect. Your hero didn't have a prayer. Rodgers didn't do so well against the Bears, but he had his defense to help him. I don't know how you aren't seeing it, but having a defense is imperative. Seahawks have a rising star QB, the legion of boom, and they've made two straight Superbowls. Last year, Broncos led defense in total defense and passing YPG. (Used NFL.com so you won't see that I'm "bullshitting.") Who won the Superbowl last year? To give you another perspective, Atlanta has the #1 scoring offense - Green Bay doesn't. When you put #1 against #whatever, what do you get? I don't care what Rodgers did, but how many third-string or worse players did you have on defense? Show me a quarterback that can put up 40+ points against any team that has a defense without any key players injured.
      Aaron Rodgers played well in Superbowl XLV. I shouldn't have to talk about that. No, Nick Collins' INT return doesn't constitute as a "defensive win." either. Big Ben, a two-time Superbowl champ, lost to a sixth-seeded team.
      So he's playing with a variety of different stringed WR's while having one of the worst defenses in the league but still manages to be have postseason records and a Superbowl ring. No, I don't "except" that he's a failure in the postseason; he's actually a decent quarterback.

    In my opinion (and yes, I am also a fan of Brady), Rodgers is the best I've ever seen in following for close to 50 years. He's spectacular and clutch, and he makes the impossible look easy. Quick analysis of the plays here:
    1) Hail Mary at Detroit - No other QB makes that throw. First of all, the presence of mine and confidence to scramble left and then right to buy time, and then to make that unreal throw with a trajectory that almost hit the ceiling...and the accuracy? Amazing.
    2) I'm not sure who else would buy time, scramble to the left (his off-side) barely plant just inside the sideline and then throw a rope that holds its line and puts it in a perfect spot like that. Maybe, Elway in his prime...maybe?
    3) (versus Bears, to win the NFC North) Clutch, momentous play, though the degree of difficulty wasn't real high - not by AR's standards.
    4) Hail Mary I versus Cardinals....who else can do that? Again, possibly a prime Elway or Favre? Cam may have the arm strength...
    5) Hail Mary II versus Cardinals....Only Rodgers can do that one.
    6) (to Adams, versus Jax)...Even with a clean pocket, the placement here is extraordinary. Given that he's in the process of being dumped AND he has to get it under another D-lineman's arms...only Rodgers.
    7) (to Jordy, versus the Bears) typically accurate and clutch.
    8) (HM to Cobb versus NYG)...again, he makes a 60/61 yard throw look it's 20 or 25 yards. Pinpoint and with perfect trajectory.
    Good choice of plays, although with Rodgers, he probably makes 7-10 throws a year that nobody else can. He also had a throw...perhaps, versus Detroit this past year...that drew the longest PI call in NFL history. As I recall, he barely planted after rolling left, and launched it close to 75 yards for what would've been a TD if the receiver weren't interfered with. The ball just kept going and tracking perfectly.

    As a Packer fan, with the exception of two Aaron Rodgers injuries, have had friggin' 26 years of watching my team lead by two legendary quarterbacks. I consider myself very lucky. I have friends who are Jets fans, Miami fans, Bills fans, etc. I feel so sorry for the misery they go through with their qb play. I just hope I'm not gonna end up like them because of all this fortune and live out the rest of my years rooting for a team with shitty quarterbacks.

    I’m a Bears fan. After watching Brett Favre mercilessly dominate our division we thought we’d be okay. Now, after watching Aaron Rodgers dominate the league for years after Favre, he is undoubtably one of the greatest of all time. Can’t hate on the Bad Man.

    I like how all of these came within the last year and a half or so..... when he was (according to 90% or so of sports media) having a 'Down year.' Nah. This guy is just hitting stride. Get a defense for him, and he'll be back in the Super Bowl in no time. He's ridiculous.

      when most of them are lucky hail mary's. when you have plenty of last second chokes to go with the lucky hail mary's. when you're 1-38 when trailing only by 9 in halftime for your career. thats what makes him not clutch.

    • @joseliriano8586
      @joseliriano8586 Před 7 lety +1

      IHCTerra ???? you're trying to tell me that giving up a lead is only the D's fault??? do you even understand how football works? i understand that it is part of the defense's fault don't get me wrong. But those points that the opponent team puts up on rodgers' defense when the packers are giving up a lead, they are called unanswered points. Why are they called unanswered points? because rodgers does not have an answer for them, he doesn't respond. Giving up a lead is as much on the offense's hands than it is on the defense. and same thing goes from coming back from a deficit. I have no idea what you're saying about giving brady credit that should go to the D. Just now I screamed like a little girl, when we signed Donta Hightower, we would have not been super bowl contenders without him. but these arguments are about brady and rodgers. and yes their defense contributes to their success like any other team, but that doesn't take away from rodgers not responding to 21 unanswered points like he did to an unexperienced cowboy team, he even threw a horrible interception right in FG position after the DEFENSE you always want to blame for rodger's mistakes got him a pick and some good yardage, crosby had to bail him out with perhaps the hardest back to back FG's in playoff history. Brady on the other hand he's the one who's coming back from a 21 point deficit and making the last second touchdown passes.

    • @joseliriano8586
      @joseliriano8586 Před 7 lety +1

      your stats are the irrelevant ones...we know them...but this is a rodgers-brady debate...and those stats don't take away from the clutches of brady, and the chokeness of aaron rodgers.

    All I have to say is that Rodgers finally has a decent/reliable defense so far. He also doesn’t have McCarthy anymore, and we seem to have a good/above average RB who can get yardage and make catches. There are no more excuses, it’s time for Rodgers to prove his worth again. I just hope I get to see a Brady v Rodgers SB this year to prove who is truly is the “best”.

    what is even more crazy is that most of these throws/plays were made just last season, in what was supposedly a down year for half of it! Last seasons highlight reel (this video basically) is already more stunning than most QB's career highlights! the man is the greatest 'talent' the NFL has ever seen. Shame Ted Thompson and co are so stuck in their ways they don't give him the supporting cast to go and win it all and create his own GOAT legacy. Hes had a reasonably good defence (that could actually get of the field on 3rd down) once in his career and that was 2010.... Won the Superbowl.
