We know the feeling that a high end costumer ask you for a nice or luxurious van to do they’re cars that’s why we buy a new sprinter van and we finish with 120k van and set up but people who don’t run the business like business owner don’t understand it .. good luck bro

Scaling a business is a marathon, not a sprint. A van setup like this is not an inconsequential amount, which either introduces a lot more overhead or severely cuts into your cash flow no matter how much you have in reserves. I can understand this move if he were backing out of the shop and going back to the basics, but there's still the $2,000/mo. expense and the additional cost of setting the shop up (supplies/inventory/furniture etc) not yielding a return and now you're introducing another expense in the van. I understand that perception is everything in this day and age, but there are more inexpensive ways to upsell your brand.
@@marshallwhite3780 I understand what you point is and it’s levels of detailers from the beginners to the successful to the experience one to the just know how to wash a car and that’s it .. but if you deb like my for example I have to paid over $10,000 month of everything that have but I have that payment because my business need it and all my clients justified the cost but if you have a payment of 2000 a month and you make 1400 that’s a problem
@@guzmansautodetailservices4449 look at the shop as a separate line item expense. $2,000/mo. and the additional cost of materials/inventory with $0 in revenue coming in. I don't know the costs of the van he got + the modifications, but I can imagine that it's somewhere in the $50-60k ball park all-in. Just to reiterate, I can understand the move if it's the only expense that he is undertaking, but with the on going shop costs, it would give me pause to either cut into my cash flow that much or accrue an additional monthly expense as big as a new, full-sized cargo van with mods.

Not true bro I’ve gotten way more business and trust from My customers. I will make a video on how I was treated from my old setup vs now. I’ve been going to million dollar homes bro. And I want to match the part. I got verbal confirmation from clients on how they felt.

Yeah, I don't get it either.. Pretty basic and a Honda PW? Guess if you just jump on every idea someone sells you on without thinking, this is what happens. I'd think maybe the focus should be on detailing, hiring & training staff (instead of paying other detailers to work with you), and doing something with your shop/ retail space/ business. Dude throws money at everything people tell him he should have lol. I'd imagine that eventually, he'll run out of money or burn out trying to pay for all the nonsense he didn't need. Good luck man..

Best of luck to you man, I ain't trying to hate on you, just a long observation! You seem to jump on everything that someone tells you you need. I want you to succeed (same as everyone), I just see you making impulsive moves all over without finishing or without focus. At least that's how it appears. We all make mistakes and act impulsive at times but man you gotta stop buying what people are selling! Has a customer ever said to you when detailing an exotic, nah I don't want you doing it, I mean look at your van.. it's old, doesn't have a wrap, or isn't diamond plated in the back? Make moves that get you 💰, the diamond plate inside your van, ain't it. If you're flush & everything is in place, make things nicer for sure. Jumping in with both feet isn't a good way to run a biz when you are responsible for providing for your employees.
As far as the "top", I'm not sure what that means to you but I hope you make it there too. Mine will just be a different peak.

@Hunters Mobile Detailing My observations aren't meant to be positive or negative, just plain observations. People don't generally listen to advice much when it has ANY form of criticism. Their ego kicks in, they get defensive, and imply you "won't be around to see", but thanks for the tip.
