For those who don’t know, he cut the wire which stops the bike from going faster so when you cut it, it makes the bike go faster than before.

5:02 Got a stock SurRon X 22 and it makes exactly 47mph (75km/h on my speedo) with offroad tyres when fully charged and unlocked. Its usually more around 70kmh when below 80%
Still insane for the XXX tho, prob gonna recommend it to the people here that don't care about legal registration, Germany wont allow any fun :(

Anyway keep up your content man I’m loving it right now and maybe I might get lucky with the giveaway!

@@caseybutler4996 its got a great motor and a huge battery so i'd be willing to bet money on its off-roading ability. all you gotta do is upgrade the suspension and wheels and youre good to go. also if you want to learn more about bikes and all that just binge through sur ronster's videos and maybe some other channels like edwin olding and talaria boys

Lmao no it wouldn't be good looking at all, unless you ordered a custom frame to fit the battery/motors etc. For $3000 you would really struggle to compare to this, & that's not even taking in to account time spent building it.

For those who dont know the wire he cut is the speed limiter, by cutting it he can go faster but the battery range can go down a lot so if you care about range don't cut it

if you're looking for a cheap lightweight supermoto its really hard (impossible?)to beat! it would be nice to see affordable aftermarket contoller to squeeze more performance from stock motor and battery without breaking the bank.

I want to see this with the same level of modding usually put into a Surron. More volts beefier controller etc. See how far she can go.
with the battery placement inside the frame I don't think you can fit a bigger battery using more cells. maybe same form factor but higher quality cells with more capacity or higher current? but it won't be cheap and gains will be limited. you can probably use after market surron controllers as long as they are programmable (I think most of them are) they are capable of handling any battery and motor within the rated voltage
I think with 3k bike you have to think twice wether you want to double or triple the price of the bike with upgrades ? probably more suitable bike for a "stage 1" , just controller upgrade. the mini emoto market is really getting more exciting since talaria entered the competition. surron was really getting lazy without innovation and just rebranded Segway versions.

@@worz678 not sure what you mean by rocker lol, but I'm very happy with my sting r don't feel cheated or anything. I probably would've gotten the xxx just for how I use it to get around town quick but being able to upgrade my sting evens that out imo.

I finally have my poor man's motoped running!! It's 48v 3000w and I took it for a 34 mile test ride to the beach and it was butter!!! Avg speed was 35mph mostly flats top speed 52mph and on a 35ah pack it still had 42% of useable power left. Also using 16in moped rims with 10g spokes and running 16x3 street tires since they're the closest to 20in BMX wheels and it eats! Half the weight of a suron and its stupid nimble

I still prefer the Sur Ron frame style but it can't be beat with the price and specs and that huge battery.
I think it could have been improved a little bit design wise. just a few tweaks to make it cheaper to manufacture and look more precise.
and possibly designing a way to access the battery more easily 😊
@@cyrus2574 yeah, have the seat on a hinge so it flips back, add a door on the top side of the battery "tank", and change the suspension mount geometry just slightly for the battery to slide in and out more easily.
Design wise, I'd make the battery tank parallel to the angle of the front wheel forks since it's already close enough, change the controller area so the lines of the frame start closer to the front of the tank and not have a weird gap, and instead of having the frame make a weird curve beneath the tank where the it connects the motor and chain, have the assembly come down at a straight angle wider than the tank to the side of it. It would look like someone designed it with a pencil and ruler. Maybe I'm too confusing.
Yeah they should have made the light flip up and the battery slide out from that end instead

9:36 That happened to me while riding mtb. Lost my phone mid run and didn't realize it until I got to the bottom of the mountain. Dude comes down after me and asks our group if anyone lost a phone. I couldn't believe it, what're the odds? Now if I have my phone I only ride in pants with zip pockets or tight jeans. Great video! The new Talaria is very tempting!
