Fun fact, a nasty muskeg rip is in the Can am owners manual for proper break in procedure for any new machine or rebuilt engine :) :)

Fintrail jackets are a must ,
Check the 40 amp fuse under the seat. Could be corroded. Also, there will be a 5 amp fuse in your fuse box. I know it seems wierd but, if you add a bigger fuse for it, you may have powered steering and a speedometer again. It’s what my friend Jodi did with his wife’s 850xmr.
If you don’t like mud I defiantly wouldn’t recommend scooping the assassinators 😅
when you put the new back cover on MAKE SURE TO USE BLACK RTV and seal the gunk that shit on the seals and make sure its sealed up.
We’ve personally never had an issue with the stock seals and have left the belt box under water for more than 10 mins. I usually add marine grease or even just regular grease around the 2 o-rings for the back cover. Torque the bolts to spec and no leaks 🤘🏼

I have two throttle cable 1000 machines and a 2022 Renegade XMR 1000r with DBW. I hated the DBW at first, but now that I’m getting used to it I like it. I have the RVS stage 3 tune and there is no lag at all. I actually turn sport mode off when riding technical trails as it gets too jumpy in sport mode.
Btw- I started off on a 2012 Outlander 1000 12 years ago and joined the Renegade life with my 2018 XMR1000 and wouldn’t go back! Screw the mud and dirt😂

Nice. One thing you can count on riding a regenade is getting dirty in any trail condition lol. I use to keep a set of clean clothes in my truck . I tried fender flares , bibs and still got dirty or soaked .

Water in the belt box, I have the same thing on mine. I think its the seal on the back. Ones the bugs are worked out. That thing is gonna be a beast!

Were you in sport mode?
Yes, we were. That's what we have been hearing, but for some reason, she isn't super responsive. It has a mrrpm tune on it which are usually good.
i am sure u already know. but the stock seal if junk.
Stock seal is actually good, this one had a big gash in it. We’ve never had any issues with the stock seal. OMC stopped selling the belt box seal because it was too thick and was causing leaks.
