  • CCV solution for you high boost boys that aren’t quite ready to spend $600+ on a high dollar billet valve cover that will probably puke oil everywhere… Or maybe you’ve got a lot of blow by due to high mileage or a performance build with loose tolerances, or maybe you’ve just got a completely saturated filter that’s causing crank case pressure, and you don’t have a new replacement lying around.
I’ve been running this gutted out filter housing for a few thousand miles this way without a single drop of oil coming out of the puke tube so far, I don’t have much blow by on this motor but the mechanical boost gauge shows 55+ psi on the harder rips.
The OEM design is very efficient, adding some steel wool to the smaller inner compartment would make it even more efficient!

What is the point of gutting it

I read that if left in, it will interfere with the blowby from the engine. Since the turbo is no longer sucking it out, it has to be removed.

I’m asking if this way of deleting the filter was OK or any engine problems or did it help your engine even more?
