My parents told me when I was 11, I didn't understand it then but I'm 15 now and can see why I always have been shy with strange behaviours. I think the younger you understand the better

I've always been painfully shy and introverted and there's an interview where he says he doesn't see that as "bad" or something he needs to change about himself...it just is....that really opened my eyes and I sort of stopped being down on myself about my social awkwardness and just tried to be me, like he does. It is so great to be able to relate to such an awesome, talented and overall nice person! I was super shy as a young kid and it was so hard at times to be able to be around groups of people. I was a shy girl and got pushed down but now in my twenties i rose up i believed in my dreams and two years later i have found myself in Melbourne designing and making fashion and loving every single minute. All my creative energy and emotion goes into the art of making clothes. I am so happy for the both of us that we are making our dreams happen we are pushing past our fears to create and make this world a better place xo
Yet his music makes me more extraverted. I'm already very extraverted, I get depressed if I'm alone for more than a few hours, but still, his music just makes me want to go out and be friends with everybody and talk to strangers.

But, Adam Young is inspiring me that one does not need to have excellent social skills to be successful, sometimes pure talent can take you places without being an extrovert!

I don't really get stage fright, unless I'm unprepared for what I'm supposed to do, it does help if you close your eyes (if possible sometimes dance moves don't allow for this) It also helps to stare at the stage lights, cause it blocks out the audience.

I'm not an introvert but I'm really self-concious, the difference being that I like big groups of people, but only if I know people there. I hate being on my own doing something in front of anyone, unless I know them really well, and I can only sing on my own in front of my sister. I can't stand giving an answer in class, I go bright red and I actually cannot talk to anyone I don't know unless it's online. I'm trying to be more confident, the internet and God helps :) I LOVE ADAM :)x

I am a singer in a band at my church and humans sometimes want to talk to me but i just never know what to say or how to say what they wanna hear and i perfer just hiding behind the sounds of music or silence. My brother hates this about me saying that thats why i was depressed before but now i have Christ and i can openly say am who i am.
I used to be really introverted, to the point I was mute until middle school. But one day in a group of people my friend noticed I was getting anxious and said to me quietly "Nobody is judging you" and I just joined in the conversation and it was a lot easier than feeling awkward. I'm more comfortable feeling free.
I like to think about being such an extreme introvert. It feels like getting back to the grassroots for me. I'm very introverted, but I have a tendency to put up an extroverted shell a lot of the time. That's why I act, actually; I've landed two lead roles thus far, because I've been practicing acting my whole life. It feels nice to realize that quiet honesty, reflection and love for what you do and who you are can be satisfying and safe.

i agree with you 100%. i hate when people always thank god for getting them where they are. i wish they would just put the religion aside and understand that their own passion, their own push and enthusiasm and dedication is what got them where they are.
