I had to sit through DEI training. I was absolutely appalled at the anti-white rhetoric and open racism involved with it. Bizarre to watch.

1. She was completely willing to ignore studies
2. She was willing to rely on anecdotal evidence as fact
3. She fails to realize her own replaceability
4. She's unwilling to accept any downfall as a result of the policies, but rather not adhering to the policies enough.
It's like the policing argument. People seem to think thousands of unarmed black people were shot by cops in a single year when in reality it was only 12. And unarmed doesn't mean not dangerous.
But to see the actual facts is extremely inconvenient to a divisive Marxist narrative so they ignore it and focus on anecdotal "evidence" to bolster their argument. It's cowardly. They'd rather love a lie than seek out truth.
She pretty much is every HR department in every fortune 500 company. It is racist, sexist, Christophobic and anti-conservative.

They just fail upwards. I've seen a lot of people do this in corporate America. They stay just long enough for it to look good on their resumes and then jump to the next job for higher pay. I am one of 4 managers in a department of 200+ in one of the largest financial companies in the world. Whenever we have XX headcount to recruit, we are told who to target. The last class we had my VP said “women and Hispanics are no longer in, target African Americans”. I have been forced to hire people I did not think were a good fit, but they were “diverse”. Most of them end up not performing and we have to performance manage them out.
I like how "firing them" is now not PC and performance manage them out is used lol

I am a Hispanic woman that came to this country when I was 15. I learned English as a second language in high school. I went to school and became a nurse. I would find it insulting to think that I have been hired or passed a class because someone felt sorry for me or needed to check a box. Also, while at work I do not care what you look like or where you come from. I want to know that you are competent at your job. I want to know that I can trust you. That’s all that matters.
Absolutely! DEI is a race to the bottom, and it also unfairly puts a question mark on those who earned their place on merritt but happen to be of a race or gender that is given a hand up by DEI.

This happens at one of the top 3 Art Museums in the United States. I’m afraid to say which one as my daughter works there in HR. They actively recruit African Americans.

I’m in the Bible Belt. I’ve never worked anywhere that hired anyone other than those who were qualified. We don’t hire people that “look like us”. We hire qualified people.

I used to work for the "State of Arizona'. Because of DEI I lost my job and was replaced by 2 women and one Hispanic man half my size (I am 6'2"/220lbs). Instead of hiring one person, they needed three? After speaking to my former co-workers years later, I found that 2 of the three were let go because of lack of productivity and attendance. The other was transferred to another department. This is not only counter-productive but also a waste of tax payer dollars.
The people who get a job should be the most qualified for that position

I took a college class called "race and ethnic relations" (I had to fill a required requirement lol). The instructor was white and lectured us LITERALLY on how white people ALWAYS have it easier, in EVERY aspect in life. It made my skin boil. The undertone, for me, is that anyone who is non-white is less than just because of their skin color. There are poor and rich people of every color. To hire a person ONLY on the color of their skin in shameful. It screams racism. If we, as a nation are so interested in helping people achieve success why are we not making sure EVERY kid graduate with the ability to read and do basic math? Why are we not working on keeping families together? This needs to be across the board priorities for all Americans.

I am a recruiter and have been for 20 years too. Nothing she says is true. We recruit off of ads we run, several tools that allow us to search based on skills and NOT ever has a candidate say they would not take a job unless they had DEI. Wow she is in lalaland
I have a feeling the one or two people who indicated that were hoping to get that position in HR. Or possibly a couple of white girls who majored in women's studies at school and barely have noticeable skills to work in the position they are interviewing for.
Do you think this may be why she has been in 13 companies in 25 years. And I call bs on the statement employees ask about DEI because they want to work in a company who chooses to run their company into the ground. They ask because they want to avoid it at all cost.
I wish Dr Phil had asked her if she would quit her job so there would be an opening for a DEI applicant. Also, will she tell her children not to attend a top 50 school to create an opening for someone who scored 300 points lower on the SAT.

Ditto. I used to be quite into his shows (even went to see them live a couple of times), but I lost interest the past few years since he almost never went against "The Message". Hard to run a no-nonsense show and not torch DEI - so, I´m glad he's getting back to his roots.

I'm a white woman and have never had privilege. What is that? Because I can go back to my mom, who lost her husband in her 40 with 6 kids under the age of 18, had to struggle to care for us. No, she or I don't have or want privilege to anything , we just want to do the right thing and work hard for what we have .
My privilege was growing up with an alcoholic abusive father and abusive mother.
Weather you recognize that you have privilege or not doesn’t change the fact that yo do, indeed, have privilege. Don’t get me wrong. I’m saying that there’s anything wrong with that. There’s nothing that we can really do about it. There’s also no need to feel guilty as some try to associate it with guilt. It just is what it is. There are certain privileges that people are simply born with. Being white, being thinner, being attractive, being born in the time and place that we were born in. I fear that when we try to ignore the reality that our credibility takes a hit. There’s nothing to deny nor is there anything to be ashamed of. Just some thoughts to consider.

I grew up in a poor family and also being white I wasn't eligible for any assistance even though we were poor, no scholarships no school funding no extra programs, no anything for white people - we watched our friends of other cultures get everything for free everything handed to them - while we had to struggle and work harder for what they got free cuz of their skin. Sadly I didn't understand it back then it just made me feel really bad about myself I didn't understand why I was always so disliked and left out

This from the outside may seem to be a small issue, but just for reference my first year in college I challenged my community colleges stance on DEI and was threatened by a very senior administrator. I had to get legal support to protect myself from investigation. This is a huge problem and can be found in almost every college/university. If they had the chance they’d take you to room 101.
I worked in HR in a major company for about a year. I was utterly dumbfounded at the lack of intelligence in those offices. One thing they consistently did was just believe a news headline at face value about some study with no critical thinking at all. If a study said "people who put salt on their food are impulsive," they'd say "oh, I'm going to start asking candidates if they put salt on their food". I mean, just appallingly dumb.
That salt thing was started by Henry Ford. He would invite men he was thinking of promoting to his house for dinner. If they automatically salted their food before trying it he didn't promote them.
Like sheep to the slaughter... I'm not surprised in the least.
Let’s just remember in her analogy the people wanting DEI are not giving the shorter person another building block by building them up, they are cutting the taller person off at the knees!

@@TheMarnell35I think she is lying about being a recruiter too. She is an hr person. I have been in staffing for 20 years. We run ads and research based on skill. The other go to for recruiting is LinkedIn and you search people by skills. Not once has anyone asked about DEI either. Not once.

She just brought up the Harvard study & when she is told what she thinks isn’t in the findings she shuts up about it. So in other words they will throw out inaccuracies until they get called on it.
She also said, there are lots of studies that support her views, then, shortly after being contradicted over the Harvard study results, said, "I can only really lean on my experience..."

I remember about 12 years ago, Disney and many other huge corporations were bringing in cheap labor on visas from India. Massive layoffs of 30 year employees that had to train completely inexperienced replacements. Then the were required to sign non disclosure agreements to get their severance benefits. So really, Americans were replaced by a foreign ethnic workforce.

Great presentation. Equity will ruin companies as good candidates for a job will be passed over to fill the “equity status” for jobs.
The kids-watching-baseball fence example is actually perfect. Yes the young boy can’t see over the fence, but his oldest brother used to be that short too. People aren’t equal in life, because they might be at a particular stage in life that merits more or less success. Additionally, sometimes it takes a few generations of poor kids turning into hard working parents, who help give their children and their grandchildren the chance to finally obtain higher education and success. There’s no need to force that grandparent into something he didn’t earn fair and square, because it might actually hurt his ability to learn the values that he needs to be able to impart to his progeny.
True equality: in that much touted picture, yes, short person cannot see over the fence. But the fence is there to be seen over by anyone who wants to see over it. So what does short person do? He/she takes the initiative to hunt down the large block, carry it over to the fence, climb upon it, and--PRESTO!--he sees exactly what the tall person sees.
Equality. There it is. The end.

when you demand equity essentially demanding merits, you expect less of the individual, so in reality you're being prejudice by expecting less and then giving them more for nothing. It's prejudice of low expectations.
