Born and raised in L.A and 61 years old ...made many mistakes growing up using and selling drugs and went to jai and prison and finally rehab...I have 20 yrs of sobriety and no have had no trouble with the law for 20 years...was a liberal most of my life but the shithole that L.A has changed my tune..it's really beyond belief...from the brazen crime to the crazy drug induced homeless roaming the streets has made it literally unsafe to go out at night...even in the so called upscale areas like Santa Monica and Beverly Hills etc..God help us unless there is serious change...

I grew up in Orange County, but my parents moved us out of state in 84, after my junior year. They saw the writing on the wall back then, when OC was still republican! It didn’t help that we were raised pretty sheltered for Cali in the 80’s. The school district there was already teaching questionable things, but compared to now, they were saints. Cali had the highest test scores in the nation, and when we moved to Utah, I had so many credits, I qualified for graduation. How the mighty has fallen! Now Utah has far better schools than Cali, however, the Biden Administration has made it mandatory to teach gender ideology in all schools, or they’ll lose their discounted or free lunch programs….
If I was in another country and needed to leave for my safety....I wouldn't walk through several other stable countries to get to America. Periodt. These people aren't escaping bad stuff...they are headed to a country they know will give them free stuff.

The majority of illegal immigrants come through the proper channels and over stay their visas. They are predominantly from Europe and Canada.
I personally know 3 ppl here from South Africa that I’ve been here without papers for years. And I know they’re a lot more of them because a lot of these hotels especially in South Florida pay them to come over here and work and they overstay their visa. Not that easy for them to come up through Mexico otherwise they’d be in line with the Haitians and the Guatemalans. Wait for them to get over here is apply to work. All of the catering jobs that I used to have in the banquet jobs I used to work in hospitality that paid really well have all been taken over by South Africans. They have filled all the spots in most of the hotels and resorts here in South Florida. It kind of bums me out, but I’m wasted my time and money getting a degree in hospitality all of the high paying jobs have been taken over by immigrants. Because they can pay them less.

Here is the issue: Americans are paying for other counties' people. It is hurting us to have people show up that we don't know anything about. But my ex who barely knows how to read a right English found a job right away, without having a résumé or legal documents, because they know where to go they know the big companies that hire them. so that’s your answer right there why they are coming in droves over to the United States. If there weren’t jobs for them, they wouldn’t be showing up like this. But they get hired immediately.
