      Actually it's in the Bill of Rights not the Constitution, specifically it's in the First Amendment. First Amendment prevents the government from creating or establishing a religion, and thereby prevents the power of the government from expanding beyond civil matters. The First Amendment also protects people's right to worship however they choose, or to not worship any God at all.

    Library freedom everywhere. If you don't want to bring ideas and experiences into your world (books) just don't check those books out. What is the mystery? Many of us go to the library to search and seek out a sliver of representation of people like us or want to explore new ways of being through books showing us how they are doing it. What is the issue? You do you and let other folks be them.

      @RC-fi4ix Most farms in Florida are are experiencing severe labor shortage. I'm sure if you applied you'll find work easily and no lack of hours. They generally pay a bit above $14. But you know, harvesting fruits and veggies in 90 degree weather where the governor removed labor protection (employers are not legally required to provide reasonable water or rest breaks in Florida) is work that I'll be the first to admit I would not do especially given the sky high cost of living in Florida. There is a reason why Wish farms in Lakeland, a generally very ethical company, will pay for visa applications, room, board, food, and a reasonable wage for migrant workers - no Americans are applying for these types of back breaking jobs.

Prayer is a beautiful thing, it is part of all religions but prayer should be conducted in places of worship (churches, temples, Buddhist centers, etc) or any other place where congregants could meet such as a park, forest, beach, lake or any other open space.

      1st, we need to accept that humans are no more entitled than any other animal on Earth.
      2nd, it's about time we embrace science and let go of those God's, Devils, Angels, Demons, Ghosts...
      3rd, we need to accept that whatever we don't currently understand, we may understand one day with continued open-minded research. Quit assuming some God is responsible for things we do not yet understand. Example: Rainbows 🌈. Remember when we used to think they had something to do with God? Today, we know exactly what rainbows are and how they're formed. I could go on and on, but if you want peace, do yourself a favor and get rid of those God's and religious beliefs that have had humans bickering and killing each other just to win favor from those mythical characters.
      *Where will we get our morals from? **Definitely not the God's of Vanity. There is such a concept known as good without God. You're either a good person or a bad person. The choice is yours. Peace to all!✌️

    I'll never understand the absence of seatbelts on busses...

    • @RaymondHng
      @RaymondHng Před 19 dny

      The absence of seat belts in most buses, particularly school buses, is due to a combination of design considerations and safety philosophies that have evolved over time. Here are the key reasons:
      Compartmentalization: School buses are designed with a safety concept known as compartmentalization. The seats are closely spaced and have high, padded backs, creating a protective envelope around the passengers. This design helps to absorb the impact and contain the passengers within their seating area during a collision, which reduces the likelihood of injury .
      Safety Record: Statistically, school buses are among the safest modes of transportation. They have a lower rate of injury and fatality compared to passenger vehicles. This impressive safety record has been a significant factor in the decision not to mandate seat belts in buses .
      Evacuation Concerns: In an emergency situation, especially one involving fire or water, quickly evacuating a large number of passengers is crucial. Seat belts could potentially slow down the evacuation process, leading to higher risks during such emergencies .
      Cost and Practicality: Retrofitting existing buses with seat belts or designing new buses with seat belts involves significant costs. Given the already high level of safety provided by current bus designs, many policymakers and safety experts argue that these resources might be better allocated to other safety measures or educational programs .
      Usage Enforcement: Ensuring that all passengers, particularly children, consistently use seat belts can be challenging. Without proper enforcement, the effectiveness of seat belts would be limited. This is a practical concern that has influenced the decision not to require them on school buses .
      While the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recommends the use of seat belts on smaller school buses (those under 10,000 pounds), it does not mandate them for larger buses, largely due to these considerations. Some states and local jurisdictions have opted to install seat belts on their school buses, but it remains a topic of debate and ongoing research .

    Sad so many do not understand Constitution and media plays into it. Been that way for years. It is Freedom of Religion not from religion and that the state cannot establish one religion as the main. Allowing for the practice of religion on public grounds does not estsblish a religion for the state. For over 200 years in America it was the norm for prayer in public places and still is in our govt. sessions. Yet one group has pushed wrongly your can't pray in public places. I recall when we used to pray at the flag pole. Look at our society vs. 30 years ago. What is the big differences? More crime and less prayer in school and public spaces. Knaw on that.

    • @RaymondHng
      @RaymondHng Před 19 dny

      The United States Constitution mandates the separation of church and state, ensuring that government institutions remain neutral in religious matters. Allowing a religious group to use a public library as a place of worship could be seen as the government endorsing or supporting a particular religion, which would violate this principle. Public libraries aim to serve diverse communities with varying beliefs and backgrounds. Transforming a library into a place of worship could alienate individuals who do not subscribe to the particular faith or beliefs being promoted. Libraries strive to be inclusive spaces where people of all faiths and ideologies feel welcome. Allowing religious services in a public library could raise legal and policy concerns, including issues related to liability, use of taxpayer-funded resources, and adherence to library policies regarding the use of facilities.

    They want us to swear over a bible in court, but don't want us to pray at the library?

      In the United States, swearing on the Bible in court is not a requirement. When witnesses are called to testify in court, they're typically asked to take an oath or affirmation to tell the truth. Individuals have the option to affirm instead of swearing, which allows them to make a solemn commitment to tell the truth without invoking a religious belief.

      @@RaymondHng The US is hypocritical and will fall like all passed empires. They were praying not holding worship. There is a difference. But mark my words the US is cursed.
