It blew my mind when I heard the hymns of the Church talk about how St. John the Forerunner continued is "preparing the way" all the way into Hades, preaching Christ there after his death and before the decent of Christ to despoil death.

Beautiful teaching. I had the privilege the previous Christmas with my two children to stand on the very ancient baptismal site in Jordan where John baptized Jesus, and renew baptismal promises. It was a personally deeply moving experience. God Bless
