This shows what an exceptional horse Valegro is. Not only is he a world champion, but he will carry a complete beginner so gently. He truly is one of a kind.
@@Apollostowel if you look closely the dropped nose and does not interfere with Valero’s breathing. You need to learn about different bridles and what they are used for and why.
No she sits on valegro, She doesn’t ride him. Also Charlotte is in between valegro and the school wall so if anything did happen Charlotte would be able to stop it before it got bad.
What a privilege for Judy! Hope she realized what an honor that was to be aboard such a champion. And champion he is carrying Charlotte to world championships and Olympic history, and then walking along on a long rein like good old Ned the old schoolmaster teaching yet another beginner the ropes! ❤️
Imagine how it would feel to ride a champion! I also think it’s amazing they give people the chance… love everything about them the fact the horses get turnout the environment !!! Amazing
Once upon a dumb YT video comment, someone was convinced that Valegro had been retired unsound to some unspecified life of torture. Yep, that's a miserable, lame horse right there, lol. Chubby, bright eyed and supple as he ever was, packing a beginner rider around with (mostly) good grace.
How lucky is she! I'd give my right arm to sit on Valegro. And how much of a good boy he is to look after a novice rider. Not many GP horses would be safe enough.
Golly, valegro leans on the bit! I’m seriously surprised, and also, that the solution is the same one I employed with my stroppy little Gypsy Cob mare. Why I’m surprised, I don’t know….😂
Is it normal in Britain for beginning riders to have full contact with the horse’s mouth? In America we do a fairly loose rein for quite awhile until the rider develops a solid seat.
No more normal than using a dropped noseband and the horse frothing at the mouth like yeah that's normal. They didn't even show her how to hold the reins, and just barely introduced the concept of using your legs and seat. Just yikes for that poor horse.
THis beginning rider was only on him for a short time. Valegro is used to full contact- anything else might have been confusing to him. Still cant believe they were that generous letting Judy Murray get on him.
The correct way and what is usually done here is for a beginner to go on the lunge with a neckstrap and/or the pommel to hold on as so not to grip up and to help stop the bouncing until you can get down in the saddle by trotting for several lessons without stirrups and an experienced teacher telling you ''stop leaning forward ,keep lower leg back don't grip up etc'' until seat is good enough to take the reins with a light contact. And to carry on the lessons off and off the lunge on a schoolmaster. Judy Murray was so lucky and spoilt to have been allowed to even sit on Valegro lucky he didn't take off when she put her leg on him,
@@shaju9229 oh that’s creepy of you. Do you like long shank bits and dropped nosebands, and whips and spurs? All that stuff that people use when they say they love their horses? Yeah, there I go again, how dare me.
Charlotte, why do you smack your horses to praise them, you can hear the sharp smack in this video and when you won bronze a few days ago (well done) you seemed to smack Puffin hard for praise. I stroke and scritch mine when they do well. As they say, a horse can feel a fly land so a smack, however kindly meant, will hurt.
Probably because she’s Sir Andy Murray’s mom and helped coach him to two gold medals and three major titles (Wimbledon x2 and US Open). They’re probably already friends from those experiences and maybe Judy can give Charlotte a tennis lesson. But Valegro is the best part!

That truly is amazing, coz many of the modern high-class horses are crazy af >_
And how do they repay that kindness? By making him wear a dropped noseband. Sigh...

@@Apollostowel I looked closely and it didnt appear to be a dropped noseband.
Not a flash bridle- and a simple snaffle bit.

Pov: you wish you were the lady on Valegro (can relate)

I love that his barn name is Blueberry. It suits him, an adorable champion!
Dressage riders, study life long, 7 days a week to get better.
New person on horse for 5 seconds; “got it” ....
Wow imagine having a lesson with Charlotte on valegro. The yard looks lovely.
I wish I could ride Valegro. I’m not even British but I remember him and dujardin at the London olympics.

It would be so awesome to have my first riding lesson on Valegro with Charlotte as my instructor!!
Wow.... what an awesome opportunity to be able to ride Valegro 🙏

All I want in life is those stables 😩 ( and a horse like Valegro ofc)
Great, loved the clip 🥰
Lucky lady!
I loved watching this, and I totally loved all the dog beds lined up along the outside of the arena.
What a good boy he was for her. My mare would have just taken off 😂
I can't ride but Charlotte i wish I was riding him as I am 80 very slowly
I might watch this several times just to see that gorgeous stable!
This is so cool!! 🤩 Lucky Judy 😆

Hence why Charlotte is one side and the wall the other. Not a lot can go wrong then.
@@PrincessNottingham I've seen a 12 year old ride grand prix movements on him and he was lovely.
Valero has a great personality like a true Olympic gold gold gold gold athlete! A great handsome sportsman! So handsome!
What an angel
It's such a pleasure to see the sensational valegro aka beautiful blueberry love him
I think I would cry the whole time,,,,,, unbelievable!

Oh what a dream come true to be

I wish I could have a lesson with Charlotte, Carl and Valegro
Wow Charlotte is my all time idol wish she teach me lucky lady
Whaaaattt is going on here??????
What? How? Why? When? And why not me!!!!!!
Idk
Because she's the mother of Andy Murray haha
@@ellaneve1021 unbelievable really 😂😂
I'm sitting here like who is this person and why does she get to ride Valegro? 😂
Lucky Judy, being able to ride Valegro. Xx.
She ain’t riding him, she’s sitting on him. There’s a difference. She’s between Charlotte and the wall
Misleading title. It should read ‘Judy Murray sits on velegro’ not ‘Judy Murray rides velegro’ lol
That lady did really well
Since you had such great success with Valegro, I was just wondering why you haven’t bought his full brother?

Poor Valegro. Ridden like a donkey on the beach. It's like learning to drive in a Ferrari.

Judy riding Valegro? Yeah right! She’s just sitting on him while Charlotte rides between him and the wall of the school. 😝🤪
Wow - personally, would NOT let such a novice touch my baby's mouth. Yay you! Wow & whoa!!!
Unfair to have a great horse landed with a lump with steel hands. Could she not go bother a cob down the local riding school.?
