Every time the blades are tripped you get a 10 second 10% boost to Attack Rate, Attack Power, Critic Rate, and Critic Damage. So if you trip the blade in the first second of being attacked, you'll get those boosts for the next 10 seconds or until your next blade is tripped, for the entire 60 seconds of attack, or duration of Titan play. That's a HUGE bonus to your damage, because it's a compounding multiplier, 110% Attack Rate and 110% Attack Power is 121% damage from missile and main gun, on top of increased critic numbers and damage.
The explanation for the Armour being the better choice is simple. It's only for conqueror and you can see the reason when playing levels. A 4 star Armour gives a total of 10% attack, 10% critical rate, 10% attack rate and 10%crit damage for 10 seconds for EACH blade destroyed by a projectile. Thats a total of 20% boost for all 4 of the aforementioned categories... and that applies to all attack.
@williampetty9599 Makes sense. Great comment. You can tell the effects while playing the mission stages, but when you are in the battle choices for legion boss, for example, there is no explanation. Now the real question is, does the other armor do the same things because there are no other choices or should you pick wing gun over the armor for other armor types with different ships.
@@WingFighterTalk when using anything other than conqueror, you should not choose the shield over a wing gun or higher attack rate. Only conqueror Shield has that specific set of bonuses
Indeed @@WingFighterTalkall armor does have bonuses. But none of them have the same type as conqueror. Example, the Thor armor only increases the quantity and damaged and frequency of the orbs that surround you. They do not increase the stats of all of your other equipment
I think most players upgrade their conqueror wing gun with the least priority compared to main gun, shield and missiles, this also go with technology point. This may be why selecting wing gun gives lower score for most of us.
@@adamkoenig8319it is strong but you need to max it..not only gear plus the fighter give the buff to wing gun..but compare to MG and Missile..WG is the lowest for conqueror only

I tested the wing gun VS the armor about a week and a half ago when the armor wasn't working on the tower challenge, so I tested it on the titan to see the difference. I lost almost 10b damage by not taking the armor. Granted, my wing gun only puts out 2 bullets not 4, and maybe that's a factor, but the armor definitely gave me better results when I tested the 2.
@@WingFighterTalk ok so here's my next theory on why the armor boosts damage so much. When you do your play through, each time you enhance your armor, you get a different benefit, right? Attack, or attack speed, or crit, each star adds to it, same as when you enhance your other abilities. So when you select the armor, you're getting all 4 of the individual attributes that you get when you select them 1 at a time in the play through levels. That's literally the only way the damage disparity could be that far apart from armor VS extra wing gun damage. That's my theory.
@@WingFighterTalk are you sure? The super armor star only makes your blades regenerate faster in the normal mode. The first 4 stars are damaged enhancements. Kinda like super mg gives you selectable straight shot, and super missiles gives you the double orb effect. Both of those function the same in all game modes, why would the armor function differently? I just can't see the massive damage increase happening without getting all those armor buffs. Unless it's bugged lol.
we ignore winggun because tech tree points are limited, by rmeoving winggun points and only selecting shield HP we save a lot of dmg by selecting armor in LH and titan event, when ship is 2 mil plus power,and you have winggun 100% in all 4 tech tree , is the time to swap , this is why armor> winggun , coz tech tree is too slooooooooow
