      Yamaha and arctic cat have a collaboration. Yamaha focuses I would say mostly on power and durability while arctic cat focuses on performance. Nowadays in 2020 yamaha sleds are in my opinion more reliable more durable and faster.

      @@flimsuxbl9695 Every high performance yammie I have. Has over 7000 plus miles on them. Ones from the early 2000's 700 triple triple and the other is a 2014 1049 hurricane turbo power commander clutched. So cat made the race chassis to hold yammies power she will rip your arms off and put water blisters on your hands. But that's how I ride. Doo is not even on the same page trust me they all ate my snow dust. 900 ace 800 mxz and so on.

      Nope the arctic cat is a 2cyl fourstroke 1056cc turbo 177hp stock and the sidewinder is a 3cyl 998cc turbo stock 180hp reported more like 200hp.
      AC adopted the Yami turbo motor in 2016. The AC in the vid was an 1100turbo.

    I used to own a 2008 Yamaha 130 horse four stroke in it I used to ride them very same trails that they are doing this video on from Cadillac to Fife Lake Kalkaska great trails to ride the sled was great to 130 horse four stroke it's plenty of horsepower and torque my friends Road Ski-Doos but Yamaha would stay with them didn't handle as good as the Ski-Doos but after tinkering with the suspension it was good enough for me I would definitely buy another Yamaha love that 4 stroke never once left me stranded on the trail started every time I'm glad to see you can get the Arctic Cat with the Yamaha 4 stroke or Yamaha with Arctic Cat suspension what more could a guy ask for great combination great video thanks for sharing it ride safe

      They started a partner program together in 2014 to replace Yamaha's aging apex platform.AC provides the chassis and YAM the motors. This has been common in the past with other manufacturers. Ex john deere/kawasaki, snojet/yamaha then kawi.

      @snappydavegood8820 Před 5 lety

      The Yami clutches are not better than the TEAM clutches used by Cat from '16 and up. Top speed differences are usually the result of different track and gearing choices used by each Mfg. Cat turbos from '15 and older had Cat clutches.
