      The market value of a degree is generally directly related to how selective it is. If it's too easy to get in, then the struggle will probably start after graduating. Also, it helps to have some work experience before starting any masters since you'll have more clarity about what you want to extract from it.

      Not sure about these specific courses, since don't know much about them. But as a general rule, the market has traditionally valued selective and rigorous degrees. What are your expectations from the course? Do you know of others who've taken the course and have had the same expectations met?

      Thanks for your Reply.. I don't know anyone who has taken the course.. That's why I was looking for some guidance
      Expectation is understanding of the business and career path in management roles
      For ex. IIM-k and UWA, I see the institutes are highly valued, but they claim the effort required is little less compared to traditional ones.. also it cost half compared to IIMK's EPGP

      If your primary goal is to gain knowledge, as opposed to a marketable degree, then a part-time MBA might be ok. However, if you're looking to get more bang for your buck out of that investment (e.g. a career change), then a full-time program would open up more doors. Some big companies with a global presence do that. This includes elite consulting firms (that adopt a 'one firm' policy for hiring) that recruit international MBA students in droves. For other companies, it can be tougher since each region manages their hiring independently. It also helps if you already have a good network in the country that you want to work in. The 'pull factor' matters.

    Sir please tell how easy or hard for indian mba grads to get international jobs after more or equal to 5 years of experience? It completely depends on the individuals whether he or she want to move or international country or company had equal amounts of respect like any other Top US or Global bschools ? Or International companies avoid Indian mba grad bcz of visa and citizenships sponsorship bcz most middle class can't afford international degree , even they can't afford Indian MBA bcz of High fees, loan is the only options, please tell yours insights how Indian MBA grad let say Top 25 Schools of India, can get job in countries like Dubai, Singapore, South Africa, EU nations, Australia &New Zealand or US , after 4 to 6 years of avg work exp in india

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  Před 4 měsíci

      Getting a job in a different is quite hard, for ALL international students, not just Indians. And you mentioned the reason for it - the additional step of applying for a working visa. Most big companies who have been recruiting top MBA grads already have the process and system in place to do this. The smaller companies don't. So it's important to target those companies. Many are in consulting, technology and finance. There are leaders in other industries too.
      For an Indian MBA grad to get a job abroad is even more challenging. If you look at the international placements at even the most elite bschools in India, you'll see a very small proportion going abroad.
      Those nuances make it a tricky decision to choose one over the other.

      As a general rule of thumb, the power of a brand works the best in the original location. Satellite campuses can work if they've been around for a long time and there's a proven track record of successful alumni graduating from that new campus. If not, there can be a big expectation mismatch.
      You must've done extensive research on it before applying. What does your research say?

      @arushisangal Před 4 měsíci

      @@MBACrystalBall Thank you for the response. We don't know much about it, as most folks working with us target the well-established, top-ranking programs. There's a much bigger risk joining new, unproven programs. Considering the fees involved, most are not comfortable taking on that risk.

    Also with the recent Indian deaths in the USA, should we think twice before going to the USA for studies? Because the only reason students go to the US is because of the fact that India is a bit backward because of its societal thinking. Plus the pay in the USA is enough to get you a well furnished apartment for rent in the US, but the same can't be expected from India even if we get a 2.5 lakh per month as salary.

      No country is perfect. When you decide to choose a new home (or stay in the original one), that decision comes with the good, bad and ugly. It's up to you to decide what's acceptable and what's not. International student deaths get talked in the media, because they are exceptions. If the scale of such bad news increases, then of couse, there's cause of serious concern.
