They wanted to show that you can make a trendy song with auto tune and a good beat, but still have a message. Madchlld was an OG Rapper in Canada part of Swollen Members and Rock Steady Crew before he fell in with a bad crowd and went heavy into drugs. When he was down on his luck and homeless, Tom and Nova said he could sleep on their couch until he could sort things out, but since Tom never stops working they made an album together during this time. Good effort on the last name but it is pronounced like Juliet (as in Romeo and Juliet) but pronounced with a D in place of the J. If that makes sense. Megan or Meg or Megs works fine🤣 and I'm a she. It's cool!
Great reaction! Tom was trolling the rappers that have that mainstream sound and are rapping about taking xanax and depression and basically selling kids on that lifestyle. He also does the same thing in Sad Rappers.
Tom and Madchild do quite a few songs together. Sober, D.R.U.G. (Dopest Rappers Under God), Fire Emojis (also includes Adam Calhoun), and White Trash, All of the songs are great!
You should check out Nova Rockafeller "Hey You", "Did Your Best" and "Gang Gang". And she is on "Smoke" with Tom and Adam Calhoun and I feel she has the best verse on there.
I'm not sure if you know about Brandon Hart, Tom's best friend? They both had drinking/drug issues and they both got sober and then they did an album together with Nova. The songs off if that I know are "Heart Emojis", "Church", and "No Good Bastards." I can't think of any more from that album that were released as videos but Tom recently did a song with Brandon called "Space Trash", and that's pretty good too.
I'm a little biased tho. Tom is one of my favorite artists and has been for 3.5 years. It's him, Ren, Falling In Reverse (Ronnie Radke), Upchurch and Jelly Roll that are in my top 5.
If you haven't done the diss between Tom and Mac Lethal I would suggest when you do it to do all 3 songs in 1 video and heads up the beginning of the first video [Lethal Injection (Mac Lethal Diss) from Tom] there are some tweets in the video that you need to read in order to see how the beef started. 2nd video is Single White Female (Tom Macdonald Diss) from Mac Lethal and the 3rd is Mac Lethal Sucks (Mac Lethal Diss #2)

Madchild was a founding member of Swollen Members, and he blew out his vocal chords, resulting in his unique voice. He didn't let his changed voice stop him from trying to continue with his career. Fella, don't sweat other people's opinions. You are entitled to think whatever you you want to. You are entitled to your opinion and if someone else is offended by it let them be. "You only live once" originally meant to make the most of your opportunities and live a respectable and successful life because you won't get a do over.

You should check out Madchilds songs "The Jackel" and Nikon. Not a huge fan of his but those 2 songs are great and his best songs.

Just wanted to say I really appreciate your humility and, though I am sure you didn't intend it, your allowing us to witness a deeper part of your being, when moved by regrets in one's life. And as a man of 62, I don't believe anyone who claims they have none. Some are very painful with real consequences. And as a man, we have the tendency to not admit or to cover it up through bravado or playing the tough guy. That is not the answer. Elton John explains it in his song SORRY SEEMS TO BE THE HARDEST WORD. All I'm saying is, if you admit and take ownership of it, you can move on at some point. But all the masking and denial allows bitterness and resentment to fester just like an infected wound, killing you more each day. Just wanted to say to continue to be thoughtful and self reflective. I saw a little pause and hard swallow their, which is a good thing. We have such a better world if more people did that. Cheers
Totally agree with what you're saying, and hey, I think I'm at a point in life that I have lost a lot of the anxiety of what people think of me and the worry that I may do something wrong, I've come to terms with the FACT I am a human.. I know, mind blowing right!! 😲 but for real, we live and we learn, I appreciate your words, and thank you for tuning in to the video✌️❤️
