These cables are discontinued! Company moved to "stage-live" Gear segment, their current Black Rubber "tactical" Cables looks sooo boring. Nothing interesting.
Forget about this brand - they discontinued this model, because...it is too hard to make for them to make any profit. Now they sell cheap Chinese-origin rubber cables instead.

This ethernet cable clearly serves a purpose, so comparing it with a gold plated HDMI cable is disingenuous. I didn't put gold in citation marks, because the cables are indeed gold plated. Gold plating is cheap, and the reason why even a 10USD net card will be gold plated, it serves a purpose.

These are Touring Grade cables. They are used for large events to connect the lighting, video, sound and sometimes hoist control desks to their end equipment or Front Of House Rack/Patch Plate.
During the build up of a large music event there are moments a fully loaded semi truck could run over your cable, to make sure they don't break like an egg we use reinforced cables with the Ethercon connector. Ethercon also makes it very hard to unplug accidentaly by tripping or even vibrations from high powered sound systems, this is also to ensure we won't lose signal during the show.
Most of the times we still have a redundancy line for each desk to make sure if cable 1 fails or get's unplugged, it switches over to cable 2 (often within a second).
